Dystopian Fiction is all the rage right now, but it's really not my thing. I love romance and fantasy, expecially if there is mystery in them, but I'm so tired of Dystopia. It seems like all there is.

What I'm NOT looking for is books like:
The Hunger Games
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Matched by Ally Condie
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Under The Never Sky

What I AM looking for is books like:
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Fracture by Megan Miranda
Slide by Jill Hathaway
Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross
Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay
Between by Jessica Warman
The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
Ripple by Mandy Hubbard

Any suggestions you have would mean alot to me!

The Seven Realms Series is FANTASTIC. I absolutely adore the romance in it between the main hero and heroine (told from 2 different POV - Raisa and Han). I even love the side characters! The plot is very intricate and clever, and when the love story starts, it just gets better. Book One (The Demon King), Book Two (The Exiled Queen), Book Three (The Gray Wolfe Throne) are all three amazing, (the 3rd being my favorite so far). The 4th and final installment comes out this October, called (The Crimson Crown). I highly recommend this series if you're looking for a great fantasy/romance story.
Graceling is also one my favorites. The love story in it, OMG. Katsa and Po will remain two of my time favorite characters of ALL TIME. This is always at the top of my list for favorite fantasy/love story.

I hope this helps!

Alanna: The First Adventure (The Song of the Lioness, Book 1) - It's an older one, but very, very good.

I understand your dislike of the whole dystopian society thing. But, believe it or not, dystopian novels can be good when they are written well, but they typically are not, and that gives the whole genre a bad rep.
My favorite teen series is the Mortal Istruments series, the first book being The City of Bones. It is one of my favorite series ever!
& As a couple of people posted before me, Graceling is excellent, and Alanna: The First Adventure is pretty good.

Happy reading! (:

Uh... Girl of Fire and Thorns is not dystopian... although it's not set in present day, which seems to be what you're looking for. Also, I don't think Breaking Beautiful is fantasy.

Based on some of the books you've listed like If I Stay, Fracture, and Between I'd say you're really into angel/afterlife books, right? In that case, I'd suggest Kissed by an Angel: Kissed by an Angel; The Power of Love; Soulmates. It fits right into that genre and it's a good read.

Any one of Alex Flinn's books is similar to Kill Me Softly.
The Alchemy of Forever is similar to Juliet Immortal.
Shade and The Dark Divine are similar to The Body Finder.
Revived is similare to Slide.
Of Poseidon is similar to Ripple.
Before I Fall is similare to If I Stay
Anna Dressed in Blood is loosely similar to The Name of The Star.

Other ones that are similar to the ones you listed are Haunting Violet, Hereafter, Starcrossed, and A Need So Beautiful.

Try Before I Fall. It's an interesting twist on life challenges.

What about the Beautiful Creatures books?
Girl of Thorn and Fire (alternate universe)
Patricia Wrede's Sorcery and Cecilia series (fluffy epistolary alternate history fantasy)

Kate, what's wrong with you? You hate all the good ones, and like all the okay ones. Lol! But, you might like Here on the Otherside by Denise Grover Swank. It's a definite romance with lots of mystery and maybe Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris. Super strong heroine with a dash of romance and plenty of mystery and adventure.
