This is more middle-grade than YA, but since there's plenty of overlap here (and the children's books forum is all but dead anyway), The Keys to the Kingdom #1: Mister Monday by Garth Nix is currently $2.99 for Americans on Kindle.

Ooo... Can't decide if I want to buy that for future rereading purposes, or just stick with Twilight #1 only (which I bought on a Daily Deal awhile back)...

Actually, that got me investigating, and* The Host: A Novel by Stephenie Meyer is only $5.11 for Kindles (US) right now. That's my fave by her, so I may get that instead.

(Or just get both, haha.)

(*WHOOPS, pressed enter too soon!)

Thanks for posting the price drop on The Host. I have been wanting this on my Kindle ( I read the hardback years ago) but didn't want to spend $9.

Bite Me (The Demon Underground Series Book 1) is currently free for Americans with Kindles.

I read it recently and it was okay - suitable for older YA, with a Buffy-esque feel to it (although not nearly as good).
