Book Description

July 12, 2010 ghostgirl
Before she can rest in peace, Charlotte Usher must return to the tragic site of her death: high school. Once there, her assignment is to help a designated teen solve a personal problem in time for the all-important prom. But no one explained what happens if you fall in love with your class project. Charlotte would die (again) for love but facing the all-too-familiar feeling of invisibility may be too much for her to swallow.

Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

Charlotte is back from the dead—well, sort of. She and fellow Dead Ed graduates return to Hawthorne High in time for prom season, acting as guardian angels for students from Charlotte’s past. There’s Petula, recovered from her near-death experience and giving away possessions to the homeless; Scarlett, dating Charlotte’s true love; and Darcy, a mystery girl with an agenda. But Charlotte has her own problems in the afterlife and struggles to do the right thing. Fans of the series will appreciate the further adventures of their favorite ghost-girl, and another appealing cover design and layout will draw in readers (who will definitely need to read the other books first). Grades 5-8. --Shauna Yusko

Review

'Written with deadpan wit...this is a "Wonderful Life"-like tale.' -- New York Post 'A sincere (and humorous) exploration of how we all feel invisible at one time or another... perfect read.' -- CosmoGirl 'Polished dark-and-deadpan humor, it's a natural fit with Gen Y, too.' -- Publisher's Weekly --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book for all ages August 16, 2010
By Jackie
Format:Hardcover
I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the third Ghostgirl book after reading Ghostgirl: Homecoming last year. The wait was well worth it. The Ghostgirl Trilogy is so much fun to read and brings back so many memories of high school. I would recommend this book for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the series!! August 11, 2010
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really liked the book until the ending...it seemed rushed for some reason. I have enjoyed all of the books in the series and was really expecting something great for Charlotte's and Eric's relationship but it was somehow lacking. Don't get me wrong the book is great but as a fan I was expecting more. I love the series though and look forward to more books!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but..
This book was for my daughter. Love that it came in a hard cover! Only bad part was that the cover had big smudges and scratches on it. Other than that, book was good.
