I have a glass top stove, can I still use cast iron?

Yes,i have a glass tops stove and I use my cast iron all the time.

The answer is yes, you can. But before you do, run your hand very carefully on the bottom of the pan to see if it is completely smooth. If you feel a bit of roughness (there shouldn't be much if any), gently rub fine steel wool over the entire bottom until it feels smooth. Then wash with soap and water, dry, and smear a thin layer of cooking oil on a paper towel, wiping off any excess. Hope this helps!

The drawback would be possible scratching the glasstop.

Cast Iron is the Swiss Army knife of cookware.
