OpenFeint has long been removed, but there is still rather poor IAP. Superficial, one-time use powers, some costumes - no real variety, no real point. The IAP is ignorable, and I do normally tend to be more lenient than others on fluffy, otherwise useless IAP, but this isn't even GOOD fluffy, otherwise useless IAP.

What makes it all the more bleah is the in-game currency pricing of these one-time use (and their "upgrades") definitely makes it rather steep, steep grinding without even an option to make them permanently available. This is worthless IAP geared to sell itself.

200 Nuts for a one-time magnet that draws more nuts to you in hopes perhaps that you will get... what, enough nuts to buy it again? Perhaps grind out 1000 nuts to permanently upgrade your 200 nut purchased, one-time use magnet so you can grind out nuts easier to get enough to keep buying 200 nut purchased... you get the idea.

No, this is junk geared to get you to plop down money to get a WHOLE bunch of nuts at once for empty, unfulfilling "gear". Nothing more than to throw cash at what is intrinsically a mind-numbing genre (it IS an endless runner) in the vain hopes your additional money will make the game more fun. Believe me, I've gone down that road in various MMOs and "freemiums", and only rarely does that thinking actually work out. sad lol

I flew 5,250m and collected 178 Acorns. And then I was bored. Not even the 20 dollar package will make this game better. Same repeating FOUR areas, same repeating obstacles, merely faster the pace the farther you fly. Achievements are higher and higher amounts of the same thing. Nothing to make it more than an average endless runner. Even the graphics and frame rates are average.

1.0 out of 5 stars alright game February 23, 2012
Verified Purchase
Bad review because every time I open it, it ask me to rate it, there isn't a permanent ignore button. I pay money for apps because I don't want to be annoyed by the ads and expect paid apps not to advertise even for their own product

1.0 out of 5 stars Requires connection to allow Open Fent Data Mine December 10, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is a cute game I used to enjoy by turning off the Kindle Fire's WiFi. After all, no wi-fi, no Open Feint data mining. However a recent update removed this opportunity. Now, the game will not load unless connected to the internet.

OBVIOUS DATA MINER! Open Feint is hidden within the program so you cannot simply turn it off. If you try to remove the Open Feint account on your device, it automatically creates a new one.

AVOID!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes The Worst Things In Life Are Free! February 17, 2012
Ok 1st to all those condescending reviewers:
I am NOT illiterate & I did read the instructions....& ummm, guess what?
You CANNOT OPT OUT of OpenFeint!!!

A note to the developers here, there's actually a small, minuscule group of us out here that DO NOT WANT to share everything we do with a social networking site.
And here's the kicker...believe it or not, we still actually want to "Have Fun"!
**and to developers: please stop having ur family & friends stop writing & submitting all ur 5 star reviews here. It's just sad.

If this app paid me to install it, I wouldn't have.
Can I give this a Negative Star Rating??

1.0 out of 5 stars Battery Killer!! February 21, 2012
Verified Purchase
The game was fun, but was deleted as soon as I realized that this App was draining my full battery life in less than 2 hours with my phone off! What could it possibly be doing to kill my battery so fast when I haven't even opened the game up to play??
This App auto starts, and runs in the background, and kills the battery life FAST!

1.0 out of 5 stars Begs for Rating February 28, 2012

The app is yet another which implements the super annoying "beg for a rating" anti-pattern. The game play is acceptable, but the rating being has me going nuts.

2.0 out of 5 stars Keeps flipping the screen upside down December 4, 2012
By Britt
Verified Purchase
This game would definitely be fun, but I'm on the Kindle Fire HD and the screen flips upside down before the game play starts. If I flip it around after it flips itself, it flips the screen back the other way. How do I fix this?

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun game.. but,
Why no play without Wi-Fi or internet connection? cost is worth playing time you get out of it, vs. taking family out to the movies! Little ones are crazy about it!

I only gave it four stars because I am a novice at this type of game and it took me awhile to figure out how to maneuver the squirrel. Read more
