Q: How do you ensure safe shipment?

A: All shipments are packed and shipped in such a way as to ensure safe delivery, and all shipments are sent with a tracking number, which will be emailed to you as soon as the phone is shipped.

Q: How can I return a product?

A: Please contact us via the Amazon messaging system, and we will send you an RMA number and return instructions. A 15% restocking fee will apply to non-defective returns.

Q: What does unlocked mean?

A: When you purchase a plan and mobile phone from a cellular provider in the United States, the phone is usually configured, or "locked," to run only on that provider’s network. If you try to use a SIM card from a different provider, the phone will not access the other provider’s network because it is locked out. An unlocked cell phone is a phone that is not configured or programmed to any specific provider network {Note: unlocked is only for GSM (see below).}

Q: What is GSM/CDMA?

A: GSM and CDMA are two different cellular network technologies. In the US, the prominent GSM providers are T-Mobile and AT&T, while Verizon and Sprint both use CDMA. Most phones are either GSM or CDMA only, and they will not work with a provider who uses the other kind, though there are increasingly more phones that use both.

Q: What does no contract mean?

A: Sometimes a phone is offered for a discount as long as it is activated with a new plan. No-contract phones do not require commitments, though you will still need to have a plan and Simcard in order to use them.

Q: What is a “Sim card” and do phones come with them?

A: A SIM card is a specially programmed microchip that inserts into a compatible GSM mobile device (CDMA phones generally do not use removable SIM cards). The SIM card encrypts transmissions and identifies the user to the mobile network. If a phone is listed as “unlocked”, it is not carrier specific and will not include a SIM card unless specially stated.

Q: Does this phone require a data package?

A: Phone plans, requirements and compatibility differ with each provider. The best thing one can do before purchasing a phone is to contact the provider you hope to use and make sure the phone is compatible with your plan.

    • Customers remain responsible for the shipping and handling expenses incurred in shipping the item to them. If an item is offered with “Free Shipping”, it means that we are paying the freight on behalf of the customer. In this case if that product is returned for a refund, the shipping expenses incurred will be deducted from the refund.
    • Returns are processed within 3 business days of receipt.
    • Replacements and refunds will not be issued until we have received the returned item. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
    • We accept no responsibility for items damaged or lost during return transit.

    Masterdeals Shipping Policies

    Items are shipped the next business day after payment is received (or earlier if possible!), and should arrive by USPS. You will receive an invoice by email together with a tracking number. Please store your tracking number, and inform us immediately of any problems. We ship within the US only.

    MasterDeals is closed on the weekends. Any orders placed late Friday or during the weekend will be shipped out Monday morning, providing it is not a holiday.
