    Founded in 2005, Austin Bazaar is a family owned and operated business with humble beginnings. Starting with a handful of violins sold online, we now sell thousands of different musical instruments through a variety of online channels.     Austin Bazaar Shipping Policies

    While we reserve up to two business days for order processing to ensure that your order ships correctly (and completely), we’ve worked hard over the last few months to streamline our shipping processes. What does that mean for you? It means that ordering from Austin Bazaar is now easier, and most importantly, faster than ever before. If you submit your order before 1 pm CST, Monday through Friday, most orders will ship within 24 hours! Remember, if there are any problems/concerns regarding your order, it might be delayed, but rest assured that our staff will contact you ASAP to expedite your shipment in a timely fashion. 

    All shipping times are calculated in business days. Please note that Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days. Transit time with standard shipping is three to seven business days, and the transit time with expedited shipping is one to three business days, depending on the method of expedited shipping that is selected.

    For example, if you submit an order after 1 pm CST on Friday or over the weekend, it will ship the following business day (typically on the following Monday, except in the case of national holidays). Any orders with expedited shipping placed on a Friday will be shipped out within 1-2 business days. Please keep this in mind when making purchases with overnight shipping as your package may not arrive until the 3rd business day.

    When placing an order over $500, please be aware that there will be a signature requirement for delivery of your package. Please make arrangements with the carrier to be there when the package is delivered or call to pick up direct at the carrier's location at your conveinence.

    When shipping to a PO Box, the free shipping will not apply and if the product is deemed to heavy to send through the postal service, there may be additional delays shipping your product while we attempt to contact you to get a physical address. To avoid this delay, ensure you include a physical address at checkout.

    Please be aware that if you are using a freight forwarding company, any postage and/or additional fees accrued is the responsibility of the customer. In the event of a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, the customer is still responsible for these fees at that time.

    Austin Bazaar Tax Information

    Sales tax is not separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from Austin Bazaar through the Site unless explicitly indicated as such in the ordering process. Items ordered from Austin Bazaar may be subject to tax in certain states, based on the state to which the order is shipped. If an item is subject to sales tax, in accordance with state tax laws, the tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item, including shipping and handling charges, gift-wrap charges and other service charges, less any applicable discounts. If tax is separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from Austin Bazaar through the Site, the tax amounts that appear during the ordering process are estimated - the actual taxes that will be charged to your credit card will be calculated at the time your order is processed and will appear in your order confirmation notification.

    Returns and Refunds

    Austin Bazaar wants you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you’re not satisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase provided it meets the following criteria:

    1. All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by an authorized Austin Bazaar representative. Please email with your order number to obtain an RMA. Products returned without an RMA may not be identifiable and therefore could significantly delay the refund process.

    2. Any damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Products can only be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. You may be asked to email photos in the case of damage. Returns won’t be accepted after 30 days from delivery for any reason.

    3. Please Note: "Used-Acceptable" listings otherwise know as open box or damaged stock items have a different return policy than regular stock products. There are no returns on B or C Stock items. If you believe your item was damaged in shipping, you must contact Austin Bazaar within 1 business days of delivery. The buyer is always responsible for return shipping and will be charged a 30% restocking fee if damage is not due to shipping. Keep in mind that B & C stock products are a great way to get our deepest discounts on the gear you love. They may have been returned by other customers or used as displays and are moderately damaged (such as cracks, scratches, or dents). For more information on damage and/or defects on this specific open box/used item, please view the images and the detailed description.

    4. If you would like to exchange a product, please request an RMA and specify that you’d like to exchange.

    5. If you would like to cancel an order, please note that Amazon provides a 90-minute window for order cancellations. Once that 90-minute window closes, please contact Austin Bazaar as soon as possible with your cancellation request. We'll make our best effort to cancel your order. However, because we offer same-day shipping service, we cannot guarantee the cancellation of any order. In the event that your order has already shipped, please request an RMA and follow the standard return process.

    6. At our discretion, non-defective returns may be assessed a 20% restocking fee. Non-defective returns will only be accepted in resalable condition with original packaging.

    7. If you refuse delivery of an order, you'll be charged a for the return shipping fee. Please request an RMA and follow the standard return process to be refunded in full.

    8. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.

    9. All returns must be shipped to Austin Bazaar postage paid. We don’t pay for return shipping.

    10. Upon receipt of a return,  we conduct a routine inspection prior to issuing a refund. Please note that the process can take up to five business days for the refund to be issued once we’ve received the return. If mailing an item back to us,  it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure the product returns to Austin Bazaar without shipping damage. While not required,  we encourage customers to consider purchasing insurance when shipping return items as we cannot issue refunds for items that arrive damaged due to shipping from customer back to Austin Bazaar.

    11. We cannot accept harmonicas as returns. Due to health laws, harmonicas must be returned to the manufacturer.

    Conditions of Warranty:

    • Our 1-year limited warranty starts from the day you receive the item.
    • Your order number is the warranty reference number, and you will need to contact us via email ( with this number to report any issue with the damaged or defective item.
    • All original packaging must be retained and returned with the damaged or defective item.  Any delay in report of defect and damage might cause the warranty to be void.
    • The warranty covers any manufacturing defects.  We will pay for all labor and material costs for items covered under warranty.  In the case that a repair will not resolve the problem, we will provide you with a replacement item.
    • Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges incurred.
    • Instrument(s) must be returned to the manufacturer's warehouse to determine the cause of problem. Our professional luthier or technician will inspect the item to determine appropriate repair or replacement.
    • Recourse on repair/replacement of parts or whole is at the discretion of the manufacturer.
    • Any repairs are carried out without our approval will NOT be reimbursed under any circumstances.

    Warranty Exclusions:

    • Any damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from misuse, negligence, accident, abuse, or improper operation.
    • Deterioration by reason of perspiration, corrosive atmosphere, or other external causes such as extremes in temperature or humidity.
    • Normal wear and any periodic maintenance (i.e.; worn frets, worn machine heads, worn plating, string replacement, scratched pick guards, or damage to or discoloration of the instrument finish for any reason).
    • Pads and felt parts .
    • Any customization of parts (i.e. bridge, pegs, etc.). Freight, handling and removal/installation costs are not covered under this warranty.
