    For international orders, please check with your local rules and regulations about all custom and brokerage fees, duties, taxes, and restrictions that are imposed on goods imported into your country. Please note that all the shipping related fees mentioned above are the responsibility of the recipient, not OpticsPlanet, Inc. If you refuse delivery because of high custom or brokerage fees, duties or taxes imposed by your country, OpticsPlanet will have to pay them for you, pay for the return shipping or abandon the package. All the costs incurred by OpticsPlanet because of this will be charged back to you.


    We ship most in-stock orders placed within 1-2 business days. Express shipping options via UPS are available.  Amazon won't charge your credit card until we ship your order from our warehouse.

    PLEASE NOTE: Although most of our items are in stock and ship within 1-2 business days, some of our items do have an extended lead time for shipping. Due to processing and shipping delays, the extended lead time may be up to 3-5 weeks. Lead times for all items are published next to the Add to Cart button and the expected ship date will be listed on your order confirmation email/page. Most items with an extended lead time of 3-5 weeks will ship much sooner, usually within 1-2 weeks; however, if you're not willing to wait the full duration of the lead time, please don't place your order. This will help us avoid unnecessarily canceling your order at a later date. For a real time ETA, feel free to contact us prior to placing your order.

    Normally all products shown on our site are in stock and ship from our Illinois warehouse.

    We verify out-of-stock or special orders immediately on receipt and send an e-mail advisory with estimated shipping date.  You will be notified by email if an order cannot be shipped in its entirety. With your permission, we will ship the available items.

    All shipped items are very well packed and insured. Inspect your order when it arrives. It is unlikely that anything might be damaged as we pack our orders well, but we do not want you to risk. Do not sign for a damaged parcel without a full inspection of the contents. If you receive a damaged item, notify your local UPS terminal within 24 hrs. or contact us via the messaging service or call (800) 504-6041 for instructions. All orders may be tracked on our UPS tracking page or directly on the UPS site with the package tracking number that we e-mail to you once the order is being shipped. Please note it might take up to 24 hours while UPS database is updated with the number we sent you. Feel free to contact us if you need help tracking your order.

    Inventory Disclaimer. We at OpticsPlanet have well over 100,000 items for sale at any given time. We do our best to have everything we offer for sale available for immediate shipping from our own warehouse or one of our many distributors all over the country. As hard as we try, there will be, on rare occasions, that our Amazon store and our physical inventory get out of sync, and an item offered is back-ordered and not available for immediate shipment.     Order Cancellation Policy

    Returns

     OpticsPlanet allows returns on international orders for an exchange or refund within 30 days of merchandise receipt. All exchanges and returns require the completion of a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form that is only active for 10 days from the date of submission. Please promptly ship the product back to us to meet this timeframe. In addition, please note that OpticsPlanet is not responsible for any shipping charges incurred in returning the merchandise to us or for any shipping charges associated with your new order.

    Returns and Refunds

    We want your experience with us to be easy and hassle-free. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return most items within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or full refund.

    Please complete a RMA Request Form (found on our website at rma dot opticsplanet dot com) for all returns. Upon completion, print and attach the RMA Tag to the outside of the box and return the merchandise within 10 business days to ensure that your exchange or refund is processed in a timely fashion.

    How do I complete a Return Merchandise Authorization?

    OpticsPlanet has created a simple and hassle-free Return and Exchange process with step-by-step guidelines for your convenience.


    Important: To access the RMA form, use your OpticsPlanet order number and billing zip code.

    To return an item, please follow these steps:

    1.Fill out and submit a RMA Request Form online to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please note that we are unable to accept a return without a completed RMA Request Form.
    2.Upon submission of the RMA Request Form, the Return Instructions and Merchandise Return Summary page appears. This page contains the RMA number that is active for only 10 business days.
    3.Pack the item(s) securely using the original packing material. Please note that OpticsPlanet is currently unable to accept COD shipments. To ensure proper delivery, we highly recommend that you choose a carrier that offers delivery notification (e.g., UPS, USPS or FedEx).
    4.Please include the Return Summary in the box.
    5.Attach the "Merchandise Return Tag" to the outside of the box along with a copy of the shipping label.
    6.Please insure the package for the full merchandise value and return all promotional materials, accessories, manuals, etc. that were included with the original shipment.
    You will be notified via email once the return is received and processed with all information about your exchange or refund.

    Note:
    It is recommended that customers insure packages for their full value as OpticsPlanet is not responsible for returned merchandise until signed for at our warehouse. Therefore, customers are responsible in cases where a returned package is lost, stolen or damaged in transit.

    What is the processing time on returns?

    OpticsPlanet processes all returns within 10 business days of the receipt of the returned merchandise. Credit card companies vary in the time required to post credits back to a customer's account. Please consult your credit card company for additional information regarding credit policies.

    What requirements does OpticsPlanet have in order to return goods?

    All items must be returned in NEW condition (i.e., not used, broken or worn), in the original manufacturer's packaging and with all original contents included, e.g., instruction manuals, accessories, additional components.

    Note:

    OpticsPlanet requires the return of all promotional items and/or gifts included with a purchase. For example, if a pair of binoculars arrives with a free flashlight included, both items must be returned before processing an exchange or refund. In addition, OpticsPlanet is currently unable to accept partial returns on kits or on any bundled goods. If a complete return is not received, OpticsPlanet reserves the right to charge an additional $6.99 to send the package back to the customer.

    We highly recommend insuring goods for their full value and safely wrapping items to prevent shipping damage. Charges associated with returning items to OpticsPlanet are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or the wrong item was shipped.
    All exchanges and returns require the creation of a Return Merchandise Authorization number. For more details, please review our Return and Exchange Instructions.

    Does OpticsPlanet charge restocking fees?

    OpticsPlanet does not charge restocking fees for most items sent back within 30 days of receipt. Restocking fees do not apply for items that are returned new, unused and with all original packaging and accessories, provided all Return Conditions are met and Return Instructions are followed. Unfortunately, there are certain items that OpticsPlanet is unable to exchange or refund. For more information, please review the Return Policy Exceptions.
    OpticsPlanet reserves the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 15% on returns of opened, used or damaged products and for those returns not following our Return and Exchange Instructions. Laboratory items are charged a 20% restocking fee that comes from the manufacturer. Please note that OpticsPlanet reserves the right to refuse any returns received in non-sellable condition. Additionally, OpticsPlanet reserves the right to charge additional fees if an item is not returned in its original packaging.

    Can I exchange my product for another item?

    OpticsPlanet will gladly fulfill an exchange whenever you are not fully satisfied with a purchase within 30 days of receipt. Please ensure the returned item is in NEW condition (i.e., not used, opened, broken or tested) and does not fall under our Return Policy Exceptions. Please review the Return and Exchange Instructions for more detailed information on generating an exchange.

    How do I obtain a refund?

    Product Refund

    To obtain a refund, please adhere to our Return Conditions and Return and Exchange Instructions. Customers not following these steps are issued a refund in accordance with the condition of the returned merchandise and the value of any missing items. Refunds are unable to be issued until the merchandise has been received, evaluated and processed by our Returns Team.

    Shipping Refunds

    OpticsPlanet proudly ships most ground orders free of charge for orders over $29.95. Unfortunately, for orders not qualifying for free shipping, we are unable to offer refunds for shipping charges, including but not limited to, domestic Ground, Express or international shipping. Please be advised that we are unable to refund any fees imposed by an entity other than OpticsPlanet, e.g., customs or brokerage fees.

    Note:
    Upon approval, OpticsPlanet refunds customers via the original payment method. For example, if a customer paid via PayPal, any necessary refunds will be applied to the customer's PayPal account. In rare cases, circumstances may require that we issue a check to the customer via USPS mail when an additional refund is due.

    Can I drop off merchandise directly to OpticsPlanet's Northbrook, IL facility?

    Unfortunately, to ensure that all returns are processed in a timely manner, OpticsPlanet is unable to accept returns dropped off by customers at its Northbrook, IL headquarters at this time.

    How do I return a product that arrives defective or is not the item I ordered?

    Contact us within 30 days of receipt if a package arrives with an item not on the order or the product does not work properly. We will gladly exchange the unwanted item for a suitable replacement. When this occurs, OpticsPlanet furnishes a UPS prepaid shipping label to cover all return shipping charges. Upon inspection, if we determine that the item is not defective, broken, incorrect or that the customer misused the merchandise, OpticsPlanet will charge the customer's account the return shipping fees.

    What if I want to return an item after the 30 days have elapsed?

    Unfortunately, at this time OpticsPlanet is unable to accept any returns after 30 days elapse from the time of receipt. If you need to return an item after 30 days from receipt, please contact the manufacturer for possible repair or replacement options.

    What are the exceptions to OpticsPlanet's Return Policy?

    Unfortunately, OpticsPlanet is unable to accept returns or exchanges for the following:
    •Installed goods, e.g., a riflescope mounted and/or assembled onto a weapon
    •Human Touch massage chairs
    •Customized or personalized products including, but not limited to, prescription eyewear (please see our RX Prescription Policy for more details) and customized riflescopes
    •Gift certificates
    •Special order items including promotional and corporate merchandise
    •Hazardous items (as marked on our website)
    Currently, OpticsPlanet charges restocking fees on the return of:
    •Electronic products
    •Items removed from plastic blister packaging, e.g., lamps, film, batteries, memory cards, etc.
    •Laboratory items


    What is your Return Policy on Laboratory Products?
    Return of any Laboratory products must be requested within 15 days and returned within 30 days from the receipt of the order.
    Return requests for any Laboratory products must be pre-authorized prior to shipping the items back.
    In order to be pre-authorized for a return, customers must fill out the RMA Form for a pre-authorization of the return and an OpticsPlanet Representative will contact the customer by phone or email within 1-3 business days to issue an RMA number and provide the Returns instructions, if the return is authorized.
    If certain limitations apply, the authorization may not be approved for a return. These limitations are, but are not limited to:
    •Custom-made or special-order products
    •All chemicals
    •Expired, refrigerated, radioactive or DEA-regulated materials
    •Opened containers or any item NOT in its original manufacturer packaging
    All Returns for Laboratory Products can be subject to a restocking fee of up to a 20%.
    OpticsPlanet reserves the right to refuse the Return of any Laboratory products which do not have a pre-authorization.
