Elizabeth Karmel's Gift Ideas

![]() At the holidays, I am a clearinghouse for gift ideas. So, it didn't surprise me when lots of people that I don't even know began to ask me for holiday gift suggestions--especially when they ask me what to buy their favorite griller! Over the years, I have created three lists based on the recipient's level of grilling. This is akin to my Grill Skill quiz where I rank grillers as "Sparky", "Smokin'", or "Red Hot". The idea is that as your level increases, so does your "toolbox!" So, everyone should look at all the lists and fill in with whatever they might be missing.
Special Note of Full Disclosure: I love gear so much that I started a line of kitchen and grilling tools four years ago. It always bugged me that most housewares, tools, and gadgets were made by people who never used them. I'll never forgot the time I ran out to buy the latest greatest gizmo and I had to drive 40 minutes each way to reach the only store in my area that had it in stock, and spent $42.00 on the product only to come home and the darn thing didn't work! That day, I vowed that I would find a way to make my own tools. Today, I design and manufacturer grilling and kitchen prep tools that solve problems that real cooks have in the kitchen and around the grill. My line is called Grill Friends and this year I spun the prep tools off into a line called Elizabeth Karmel's Kitchen Friends. Despite the name, all my products work as hard indoors as they do around the grill and vice versa! And, after you shop, be sure to check out my friend, John Lineweaver's smokin' holiday gift wrap and fun wine and spirit gift tags for that perfect hostess gift. Youll be buying your favorite griller the gifts that he or she wants and wrapping them up in style! Happy Shopping!
