4.0 out of 5 stars Great mental exercise!, April 30, 2010
Longevity Rules is a wonderful resource for those of us interested in achieving a positive longevity, or "qualongevity" as we call it. We want both long life and quality of life. Stuart Greenbaum and Eskaton have pulled together an all-star lineup of heavy hitters who offer their advice and insights on how to age well. The plethora of short articles make it easy to dip into a broad and comprehensive range of longevity topics. At mindRAMP we recommend a steady diet of mental stimulation to maintain brain health. Longevity Rules is doing the trick for me. It promises to be an ongoing source of inspiration, provocation and illumination.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock solid primer on brain health, August 25, 2009
Thanks to Fernandez and Goldberg we now have a rock solid primer on brain health that we can recommend with confidence. While straightforward and easy-to-read, the material is evidence-based and thorough -- never "dumbed-down." I found it particularly effective to start the book with a list of ten brain myths that need debunking. We are constantly struggling against the pervasive ageist myths that cognitive decline is inevitable with age and that there is such as thing as a normal "brain age." The extensive interviews with top researchers supplement the text with valuable insight and perspective. And, as always, SharpBrains provides honest and objective analysis of industry-leading computer-based cognitive training programs.
