2.0 out of 5 stars Great if you don't mind jumping through hoops to go on-line, December 14, 2014
This RCA tablet seemed to be decent quality and well-functioning, but we only kept it for a few days. When a product's usefulness depends upon it's Internet connectivity, being unable to connect or remain connected to the Internet is a huge drawback. To be clear, everyone in our household is tech savvy. We really (REALLY) should have paid more attention to previous reviews panning the product for its trouble connecting to the Internet.

In order to make our tablets connect to our wi-fi network, we had to boot up our laptop, open the control panel, navigate to the network device, and click to open the Web page for the router. The tablet would then automatically connect to our network. Brilliant! Once it had been powered off, however, the process had to be repeated every single time we turned it back on and wanted to go on-line.

Compared to this, the need to find the best app to use to transfer music files over from iTunes to the Android OS-based tablet was not even a significant hiccough. In the end, we returned our tablets, along with all of those we had purchased as gifts.

UPDATE: Our supposition has been that certain networks or hardware present a greater problem than other set-ups do. My sister bought a couple of these at the same time that we did. She had no problem at all setting up the connections to her home network.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best. Game. Ever., February 6, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Cranium (Toy)
Childbirth? Flash dance? Nope--volcano. This particular Cranium moment has become immortalised in our family's Hilarity Hall of Fame, thanks to the wonderful, charades performance of my brother-in-law... Kudos to Cranium for creating this game--and a whole family of other great games (many of which we also own).

While Cranium is easy to learn and easy to play, it is also provides a variety of tasks that should prove challenging to the average game team. What is your strength? Spelling? What is your weakness? Trivia? And your teammates? What about the other team(s)? Where one team looses ground, they are sure to pick it up when the tasks turn in their favour.

Although the game can be played with several smaller teams, our experience has been that having only two groups with larger team sizes often produces some of the most enjoyable rounds. Cranium has been a hit at small family gatherings, large family reunions, and at parties full of relative (and total) strangers. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes to express themselves and just have fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars One satisfied family of game fiends, February 6, 2010

My husband and I collect card and board games. We picked up the original Fluxx in a game shop in St. Louis, and it did not take long for us to become addicted to this game. It rivals the original Cranium for us--with the added benefit of being easy for the two of us to play alone. We now own Family and Eco-Fluxx, as well as most of the expansion packs and promo cards, and are buying the Martian and Monty Python versions now.

At every available opportunity we introduce the game to new friends and family members and have created some wonderful memories. It is a great game to play with adults, and if we are playing with the younger kids, we pull out the Family version. Sometimes we even shuffle a couple of the decks together to spice things up.

I cannot say enough to recommend this game to everyone! It is a blast. If you don't have fun playing this game, then you are either doing something drastically wrong or are playing with the wrong opponents!
