5.0 out of 5 stars Great wall mount for smaller TVs., June 10, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great wall mount for smaller TVs with up to 200 x 100 VESA hole pattern. Well-built, low-profile, and low cost. As a design engineer I really appreciate good designs (and despise poor designs), and this wall mount is very well designed and constructed. I used it to mount a 23" LCD TV to the wall at my office. All the pictures of the mount are upside down. To install you fasten the back plate to your wall, and screw the rest of the mount to the back of your TV, then hang the top lip of the mount onto the top edge of the wall plate, and tighten the two bottom screws to secure the connection. Fast and simple.

1.0 out of 5 stars but they have lost my business for good., April 1, 2015
TurboTax may have finally corrected the problem, but the fact that it took months of angry customer complaints and lost business for TurboTax to act led me to change to H&R BLOCK's deluxe tax software, at a much lower price. I used TurboTax software since at least a s far back as 1997, but they have lost my business for good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent paddle, but unacceptably rough shaft., August 14, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been kayaking since the late 80s, and own six kayaks, and my usual paddle is a 140 cm straight shaft Werner Camano Carbon paddle that is a joy to hold and use. But I wanted to buy a less expensive paddle for my 11 year old son, so I bought a 130 cm Aqua-Bound Sting Ray Carbon paddle. However, I am returning the Aqua-Bound and buying a Werner 130 cm straight shaft Little Dipper fiberglass instead, even though the Werner costs $76 more. Here is the reasons why:
1. Werner paddles, both their carbon and fiberglass paddles, have very smooth handles made from wide fabric with no seams you can feel; but Aqua-Bound's carbon paddle handle is made from spiral wound carbon fiber tape with a very thin coating on top, and the edges of the tape form raised ridges that make the paddle uncomfortable to hold in your hand, particularly when you slide your hand along the shaft to re-position your grip.
2. Not only are Werner carbon paddles lighter than the equivalent size Aqua-Bound carbon paddle, but Werner's fiberglass paddles are lighter than Aqua-Bound's carbon paddles. (Aquabound 220 cm Sting Ray Carbon paddle is 815 g, versus Werner's 220 cm Little Dipper fiberglass paddle at 786 g) Granted this isn't much weight difference, but some people might assume that a carbon paddle is automatically lighter than a fiberglass paddle, and this isn't true.
3. Werner paddles have an adjustable feather angle ferrule that provides a very tight connection between the two halves of the handle. Aqua-Bound uses a push button handle connection with less feather angle adjustment that is similar to Werner's old design; but brand new the connection didn't feel as tight as the connection on three old-style Werner paddles I own that are over 20 years old. (Two fiberglass paddles and one carbon paddle.)
I'm giving Aqua-Bound's paddle three stars, because other than the unacceptably rough handle, the rest of the paddle design was what I was expecting in a mid-level kayak paddle. Indeed, if the handle was smooth I would have given the paddle five stars. If you don't plan on kayaking a lot of miles, and you plan to wear paddling gloves, then this paddle should work fine for you.

Getting Rid of Mister Kitchen
Getting Rid of Mister Kitchen
by Charlie Higson
Edition: Hardcover
16 used & new from $0.78

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious black comedy!, May 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My son loved Charlie Higson's Y.A. books (Young Bond series and The Enemy series), so I thought I'd try one of his earlier adult novels. Getting Rid of Mister Kitchen tells the trials and tribulations of an English furniture artist trying to get rid of the body of a bloke who came by to buy his car, all while under the influence of copious amounts of booze and drugs. The humor ramps up as the book progresses, and the dialog is priceless. Warning: Definitely an adult only book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cable!, May 2, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was pleasantly surprised with how well made this interconnecting cable is for the price. The two channels run side-by-side, and are individually shielded, with gold plated plugs. Definitely not light, or portable, but perfect for my application, which is inter-connecting computer speakers in our office.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware! Warranty was not honored!, November 4, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this unit February 22 2013, and it worked well until it failed six months later, to the best I can determine by losing all its refrigerant. According to the warranty card, it had a full one year warranty, with a five year warranty on the sealed refrigeration system. When I purchased the unit I even mailed in the bottom half of the warranty card. I tried and failed to get warranty service, both from the warranty service provider listed on the warranty card, and also from the manufacturer of PerfectAire dehumidifiers. According to the manufacturer, they only sell their products through brick and mortar stores such as Ace Hardware and Bed Bath & Beyond, and they do not warranty dehumidifiers sold through Amazon. The manufacturer claimed that the various sellers on Amazon do not buy any dehumidifiers directly from them, and that they must purchase them through some unknown source. The dehumidifier I bought came in what appeared to be the manufacturer's original, sealed box, complete with owners manual and warranty card, and packaged with Styrofoam inserts, strapping tape, and protective plastic film like you would expect on a new product. The dehumidifier arrived in perfect condition with no scratches or marks; in other words it did not look like a refurbished or returned or repackaged unit.

So there are two reasons not to buy this unit:
1. The unit failed after only six months of use in an 1800 cubic foot storage closet.
2. You will not receive any warranty service if the unit fails.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible printer - Do not buy!, October 28, 2013
We bought this printer for our engineering office in June 2012. The printer failed completely in October 2013, after less than 2000 prints.

1. Printer was very noisy and was always performing maintenance, especially whenever you tried to print.
2. It used more ink cartridges than any inkjet printer I've ever owned.
3. The print quality was OK, but nothing special.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a very good case. Supcase is much better., August 22, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was very happy with the Supcases I have on my old style Nexus 7s, but when I bought a new Nexus 7 I purchased one of these MoKo cases because pictures of the new Supcase weren't out yet and the MoKo case had good reviews. But I was very unhappy with the MoKo case so I replaced it with a Supcase within the first week.

The Supcase is much better because:

1. The Supcase holds the Nexus 7 securely, but the Nexus is able to twist around in the MoKo case.

2. When you open the Supcase, the front folds around to the back side and tends to stay put, but when you open the MoKo case the front keeps wanting to slide right and left because it has a double fold hinge versus a single hinge on the Supcase.

3. The Supcase has a very nice texture on the outside and feels good in your hands, but the MoKo case is smooth and feels cheap and shows fingerprints. Both cases claim to be made of premium leather, but the leather on the Supcase feels and looks a lot better.

4. The bezel holding the Nexus in place on the MoKo case is way too thin and warps easily. The Supcase bezel is much wider and stays put, yet it is not so wide that it cover part of the screen. The Supcase bezel would help protect the Nexus if it falls on its corner, but the MoKo bezel would not protect the Nexus as well.

5. The Supcase magnetic closure is stronger, so it stays closed better.

6. The MoKo case has a credit card holder and memory card holder on the inside of the front cover, which contact your screen when closed. The Supcase has a nice velour surface inside the front cover.

7. In general the Supcase appears to be of a lot higher quality both in materials and workmanship.

Both cases put the Nexus 7 in sleep mode when closed, and wake the Nexus up when opened.

Both cases have cutouts or openings for the speakers, cameras, switches and ports.

Both cases have a catch on the back side so you can use them as a stand to hold the Nexus up at an angle on a flat surface.

Anyone who wants a MoKo case can have mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent dark novel., August 15, 2013
This review is from: The Cave (Mass Market Paperback)
I've read a lot of books, and The Cave is one of my very favorite dark novels. The story draws you in early, then takes you on a wild, intense ride throughout. I could not put this one down. It is unfortunate that this talented author never published another book.
