5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite cookbook from favorite restaurant, February 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been going Tanoreen for years and the food is so goo and is literally the best homemade Middle eastern food. If you are ever in NYC, I highly recommend that you dine at Tanoreen at least once. I was super excited when Chef Rawia released this cook book. The photos are stunning and her stories about her family and the foods of the Levant are great introductions to the food and culture of the region.

The recipes include some of my favorite dishes from Tanoreen including the Brussels sprouts, chicken getting, and stuffed cabbage. They are easy to follow and Rawia also provides detailed information on the spices and common ingredients that you will need. Most if not all can easily be found at a Middle a Eastern grocery store, Whole Foods, or Amazon.com.

So far, I've cooked several recipes from the book and my family and I found them to be delicious. The lentil and butternut squash stew, kale and shallots, fattoush, beef and white bean stews, seasoned garlic sauce, and the lentil soup are delicious. I look forward to diving into the other recipes and you and your family will certainly be satisfied with this cookbook, which is now one of my favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very informative, November 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I found this book to be very helpful for travel planning. I Am notorious for overpacking and I found the photos as well as the packing list and fashion suggestions useful. The author also touches on travel accessories, color schemes, shoes, and convertible clothing. Overall, I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves to travel light while staying fashionable.

4.0 out of 5 stars works great, January 23, 2012

This product arrived promptly. It was easy to install and just use your credit card to smooth the bubbles.

Minus 1 star because the product claims that its re-washable, yet there are no instructions in the packet.

2.0 out of 5 stars kindle fire cannot register Indian words, January 18, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I noticed that whenever there is an Indian word or name, there are boxes in place of some of the letters. Other than that it seems like an easy read but its impossible to enjoy it when you can't read the entire word of some of the Indian phrases because letters are missing.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an excellent entertainment tablet, January 16, 2012
I am very pleased with my Kindle Fire. Here are some pro's and con's

Pro:

For what you get, its very affordable

great color and graphics

many perks especially if you are an Amazon prime member-free streaming of movies and Kindle lender library allows access to thousands of books that you can read for free (even though its only 1 per month)

many android apps are available

social media and email

the mp3 performance is much better than in the first kindle editions

Web capability

Con's:

it is heavier than the earlier kindles

No COLLECTIONS option for organizing books

The Carousel can be very annoying even though they allow you to remove icons from there

No external volume button

The email interface needs to be improved

The amazon store app does not display a "sample" button--unless Im missing it.

Other than that, I love the fire. Its extremely portable; I take it with me to work everyday and enjoy browsing the web and reading books on it. The white background display while reading books can be quite irritating to the eyes (think: computer glare) but there is an option to change this background to black (or cream) which makes the screen less straining for the eyes.

Keep in mind that this device is not the ipad and I would not compare if to other tablets on the market because it is more so an entertainment tablet. Considering what you can do with the fire, I think its worth the money.

If you have any concerns about software of hardware issues, Amazon is very responsive to customers. Please share your concerns with them as they are quick to release updates, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera, November 29, 2011
I love this camera! I love to travel and used it recently while in Morocco (Check the photos that I posted on customer images for this camera).

This is the an excellent camera to have whether you are a professional photographer or someone who just wants to photograph the important events in their life.

PROS:

small and compact
contains several photo presets such as landscape, pop art, sunset etc
DSLR professional grade camera
takes great quality photos
perfect for traveling
great for everyday use

CONS

does not come with flash
does not come with viewfinder--have to use LCD screen
Expensive considering that you have to buy the electric viewfinder and flash separately
can be a bit heavier than a regular sized DSLR camera because of its frame

Besides some minor setbacks, I still highly recommend this camera. Definitely get the electric viewfinder if possible. It will certainly make photographing more enjoyable and your images will come out better since you will be able to see more of the image within the frame opposed to shooting off of the LCD screen alone.

2.0 out of 5 stars What memory foam?, November 8, 2010

This product does not contain memory foam but some weird "foam sheet" on either side. It does protect the lap top pretty well but it shouldn't be advertised as "memory foam".

4.0 out of 5 stars Sno Ball love this but..., November 8, 2010
My cat Sno Ball love this food and I like the fact that it is grain free and all natural. I highly recommend this product but just keep in mind that since most domestic cats are used to processed kitty food, it may take them a while to get used to it.

Since he's been eating this food, I noticed is that it makes his poo smells EXTRA strong. I have a small apt so I almost passed out when I came in the other day and it smelled like he had pood right on the floor when it fact he pood in his litter box and it was covered up. Thats some strong food. He's only been on it for a week so we'll see how it progresses. Maybe his digestive system has to get used to it.
