5.0 out of 5 stars It's not a small world after all, April 10, 2014
I was surprised to learn of the personal and financial struggles of Walt Disney. He made it look so easy in "The Wonderful World of Color".
His is the story of genius offset with Herculean effort to put his ideas into reality.
This is a fast reading minibook that encompasses all of Disney's life.

5.0 out of 5 stars List of facts resds fast, April 9, 2014
True, this is a list of facts. If you're hooked on Titanic, though, it is very interesting. And, as I've said, it reads fast, ie., in one sitting. So, curl up and load your brain with facts!

Woodstock: The History and Legacy of America?s Most Famous Music Festival

5.0 out of 5 stars get you ya-yas here, March 25, 2014
The writers dissect Woodstock into its true, clear parts. This ranges from the description of the high and dirty hippies to the strung out muscians. Mention is even made of all the songs in each set for each musician (s). The very last portion of the book explains the fate of the Woodstock muscians. As someone who had lived through that time (1969), I thought the book was quite interesting. For Gen X and the Millenials, I don't know, but, hey! It is an important piece of history!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Crooner and the Comedian, March 24, 2014
Three stories entertwined in one informative book. A must read for anyone around in the '50s and ' 60s. This is the story of Dean and Jerry, Dean, and Jerry. You learn the strengths and weaknesses of each. You'll also have a few memories jostled. This little book reads quickly. Read and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating History, February 26, 2014
This short book on the Library at Alexandria reads more like a fascinating story than a history lesson.
Many facts, as well conjecture and romanticism, are presented to keep the story going. The book is ideal for anyone interested in ancient Egypt and Greece.
These short books, including this one, are always worth the small amount of time required to read them.

Miracles: 32 True Stories
Miracles: 32 True Stories
Price: $5.99

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read, February 21, 2014
In these short stories collected from around the state of Maine you will find hope, encouragement, and wisdom. Some stories are one to two pages while others are longer to tell their story. All have several Bible verses that go along with the story. The reading is fast, even the longest story can be read in one sitting. Strongly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read, January 15, 2014
This review is from: Inferno (Hardcover)
You gotta read this! I've enjoyed other Dan Brown books - The Divinci Code and Deception Point. I enjoyed Inferno as much if not more. There are numerous cliffhangers that goad you on. And the story is topnotch. Of course, you must know, the title refers to Dante's lyric poem Inferno, and the symbolism is rich. I borrowed this ebook from the library. You do the same.

American Legends: The Life of Nathaniel Hawthorne
American Legends: The Life of Nathaniel Hawthorne
Price: $2.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Yikes!, August 25, 2013
Wordy. Excessively long sentences and paragraphs. Confusing presentation of ideas. Little known facts not worth knowing. Should I go on?
I approached this reading exercise hpong to learn something about the author of "The Scarlet Letter". I came away with a jumble of tales told by the author(s).
Don't get me wrong - it's worth reading. Just be forwarned.
