Otterbox Defender Series Hybrid Case & Holster for iPhone 4 & 4S - Retail Packaging - Sun Yellow/Gunmetal Grey
Otterbox Defender Series Hybrid Case & Holster for iPhone 4 & 4S - Retail Packaging - Sun Yellow/Gunmetal Grey

5.0 out of 5 stars Best case going for iPhones, August 7, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Having destroyed my first iPhone early on, my second has always had the Otterbox Defender series of covers. My first turned out to be a Chinese counterfeit, but this one is the real deal and the quality is certainly obvious from the time you open the box.
Better than any insurance policy for iPhones.

This mount is well suited for large, heavy flat screens, the built-in level was an unexpected feature that made installation that much easier. Easy to install, all hardware included, simple instructions and adjustable angle allow for the perfect set-up in any room.

Oral-B Professional Healthy Clean Precision 1000 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush 1 Count
Oral-B Professional Healthy Clean Precision 1000 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush 1 Count

4.0 out of 5 stars Practical, Simple, Functional, March 21, 2013
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
As far as rechargeable toothbrushes go, this is one of the better ones I have used at this price-point.
The brush-heads snap securely to the base, the base has proven to be waterproof to the extent that I have had no issued brushing in the shower, and the simple design makes it practical -even for travel. Good options for various brush-head attachments and does not seem to quickly accumulate that old-toothbrush pasty grunge that we've all come to dislike.
The oscillating brush is an improvement over lower-end brands that merely vibrate. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that the brush makes me feel like I just came out of the dentist's office, I don't think any consumer electric toothbrush manufacturer could make that claim credibly.

Similac SimplySmart Bottle, 8 Ounce (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
Similac SimplySmart Bottle, 8 Ounce (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

4.0 out of 5 stars A good product with great features and minimal defects., July 12, 2012
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
We currently use three brands of bottles for our newborn, the Avent bottles by Phillips, Similac's SimplySmart and TommyTippee's Closer to Nature Series.
While some folks might be concerned that these bottles are not BPA free, we primarily have concerned ourselves with gas- or avoidance thereof. These Similac bottles have performed at least as well as one should expect and have been comparable to the other brands in this respect.
The bottle size is convenient at 8 oz., and the nipples are relatively easy to set in the rings and does not leak when properly set. The added feature of the SmartClose feature is okay, but after several microwave sterilizations, the blue triangle seems to drift slightly out of alignment-but this has had no noticeable affect on the bottle's integrity. The best feature is the Easy mix paddle that definitely helps facilitate mixing while reducing clumps and bubbles.
We've had mixed success using the TommyTippee microwave sterilizer with these bottles. Perhaps they are not designed for such frequent heat exposure, but as some other reviewers have noticed, these do begin to show signs of crazing in the plastic around the base after about 12-15 sterilizations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and convenient in both size and use., July 12, 2012
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
New parents often scramble at the last minute to find those items that baby showers and gift registries fail to provide. Often, bottles turn out to be one of those key items that are overlooked by gift-givers, especially since they are not cute or exciting when unwrapped as presents.
While we were lucky enough to receive some bottles as gifts, we quickly realized how many more we would need to make it through a 24-hour feeding period.
We are currently using three brands, the Avent bottles by Phillips, Similac's SimplySmart and TommyTippee's Closer to Nature Series.
First off, just like real nipples, not all Avent nipples are created equally. We purchased a couple sets of slow-flow and variable-flow nipples only to realize there are two different types- Classic and Natural. This review is for the bottles with the Natural style.
While we appreciate the BPA free nature of the bottles, we primarily have concerned ourselves with gas- or avoidance thereof. The Avent bottles have performed at least as well as one should expect and have been comparable to the other brands in this respect.
Although these are small (4 oz.), they are convenient, the rim secures well to the bottle and the nipple is the easiest to set into the ring of the three brands.
We've had great success using the TommyTippee microwave sterilizer with these bottles and overall rate them highly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Won't slam it, but can't endorse it., July 2, 2012
This review is from: Da'Zoo (Audio CD)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I'll preface this review with the caveat that this album represents a genre I wouldn't typically make the effort to review. That said, there is little about Da Zoo's self-titled album that I can say that hasn't been exhausted in previous reviews.
So ultimately, I share in the opinion that Da Zoo's music is less reggae-esque hip-hop, which is what it seems to want to be, than it is insecure adolescent bubble-gum teen-angst pop.
There is no doubt a market for this music, but again- not my demographic. Since I hardly represent this product's target market, it wouldn't be fair to slander this album with a negative review. As such, I'll submit my opinion with a grain of salt and a largely neutral 3-star review.

Old World, New World: Great Britain and America from the Beginning
Old World, New World: Great Britain and America from the Beginning
by Kathleen Burk
Edition: Hardcover
98 used & new from $0.01

5.0 out of 5 stars Divided by our common language, June 29, 2012
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Kathleen Burk's Old World, New World, is as an enjoyable read as much as it is eloquent. Readers are certain to find her revelations of the evolution of the intertwined relationship between a burgeoning United States and her reluctant Mother-country gripping and insightful.
Burk explores the last five centuries of cross-pond relations that culminate in the Bush-Blair; Iraq War tag-team. American Anglophiles can rejoice and find solace in the pages that follow the warming of frigid to the oft tepid history of Anglo-American relations. As Geroge Bernard Shaw observed, the U.S. and Great Britain remain "Two nations divided by a common language," but are perhaps linked by our common democratic ideals.
The book is hefty and packs some great information, but should not be intimidating to general readers. Absolutely enjoyable and a pleasure to both read and reference.

Put Your Dream to the Test: 10 Questions that Will Help You See It and Seize It
by John C. Maxwell
Edition: Hardcover
123 used & new from $0.01

3.0 out of 5 stars Also See: Wish It, Want It, Do It- B. Griffin., June 29, 2012
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I read Maxwell's book on a hunch that it might offer me some insight towards improving my career goals or perhaps pull me out of that slump so many of us 9-to-5'vers find ourselves in from time to time.
Overall, I found the book to be enjoyable and motivating. I cannot say that I would attribute much of my own success to the book, but the tools Maxwell provides the reader in visualizing their ideals and making them reality are solid. I've also found that they are also every bit worth regurgitating at corporate or organizational motivational and team-building exercises where they are warmly received.

3.0 out of 5 stars A nostalgic dalliance through a microcosm of Cold-War Era Terrorism, June 29, 2012
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
It was refreshing to read an account of the Red Army Faction from the perspective of a German journalist. Aust's provides a compelling insight into a terrorist organization that is rarely observed in similar books that come from an antagonistic law-enforcement view or a self-aggrandizing autobiography.
Aust's account loses something in translation from its German language incarnation, but it's difficult to put a finger on just what that "something" is. English readers, -in particular Americans- will undoubtedly miss some of the details Aust conveys in his book, which is less of a narrative than it is a series of non-sequential anecdotes.
What the book arguably lacks in structure, it provides in insight into an incarnation of terrorism the world has forgotten in its Post 9/11 paradigm.
As more of a WWII scholar, my interests prevailed around the post-war and subsequent Cold War social fallout that incubated groups like the Baader-Meinhof.
Baader-Meinhof: The Inside Story of the R.A.F. presents an interesting read, but perhaps not the best starting place for the average Western audience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thus is the return of the Moleskine notebook., September 27, 2009
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
One seldom finds as handsome of an otherwise mundane item as the Moloeskine day planner. Compartmentalized into twelve individually bound, various colored, pocket-sized monthly planners, this Moleskine product truly pays homage to the classical French and European notebooks of days long behind us.

Convenience is fundamental with the Moleskine month-to-month day planner. Sporting a solid, black, hardbound cover that neatly seats all 12 colorful month's of the year booklets, it's as much of tool as it is an emblem of organization.

While one might need an entire year to determine the viability, practicality and convenience of using a given brand's day planner, the Moleskine was immediately put to use and shall continue to carry out its duties faithfully for the months to come as a research record.

The Moleskine Month-to-Month day planner represents fine quality, superb styling and is a pleasure to both own and use.
