Not as advertised. I used it to charge my Sony Z3 and it would only charge @ 900mA. I used my old Samsung S4 charger and was able to get a constant 1.3 - 1.5 Amp charge. Save some money and just get a Samsung charger instead, it way faster
I recently purchased the TEW-712BR and really liked the fact that I could use the OpenWRT firmware instead of the original firmware provided by TRENDnet. OpenWRT lets you customize how the router works by using custom packages to add/remove features. One great example is adding VLAN support to the router which the stock firmware doesn't include. This just scratches the surface on what the OpenWRT firmware can do.
OpenWRT Pros: -Improves performance speed wired and wirelessly -Can be customized to your networking needs. -Supports VLANs
OpenWRT Cons: -After loading the OpenWRT firmware you have to manually enable the wireless radio.
