4.0 out of 5 stars "Aint no thing like me, cept me.", September 7, 2014

Alone, Rocket is a decent figure. He can stand fairly well, he comes with some great accessories, and the paint job is excellent. I just would have liked a better expression on his face then the very complacent look we get, because it is almost too raccoon like. You also can't do much with posing him, because is lower body is solid and has no articulation. However once you place him on the shoulders of the BAF Groot figure (assuming you bought the other five figures), he instantly gets cooler and you won't really care to pose him any other way. He can hold his gun up easily without his arm drooping under the weight, resulting in a pretty sweet pose. Kids will love and if you are planning to build Groot, you will get him anyway. You won't feel too swindled though thanks to the great Groot torso and added accessories to make up for the smaller use of plastic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just When You Thought He Got Rid of All His Armors, September 7, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It's a cool look for the Iron Man armor and I can see how they were trying for the similar Ultron appearance to maybe connect him to Avengers 2, before they rewrote the script to exclude RDJ. A blast effect or something like that would have been a nice bonus so he would come with something, but he's easy to pose and kids will enjoy him.

3.0 out of 5 stars That guy who isn't in the movie!, September 7, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Nova is really poseable and well balanced, but his paint job is a little too shiny and he comes with absolutely no figure accessories (not that there would be much they could have given him). He isn't a bad figure and kids will have fun making him fly around, but really the only reason to buy him is to get the included Groot arm. Unless they happen to be fans of the character. I would do my best to avoid paying to $30+ he seems to be going for right now though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanos' Favorite Daughter, September 7, 2014
Like the Drax figure, Gamora is lacking in the accessories department, coming with only her sword, but she makes up for it with a decent likeness to actress Zoey Saldana and lots of posing options. Her feet are fairly small though, so you may have trouble balancing her without a base or stand. It great Hasbro released a figure for a female character (especially since she is a main character) when they tend to stay away from them (like *cough* Princess Leia *cough*). She's a good figure and kids and collectors alike will enjoy her.

Marvel Guardians of The Galaxy Star-Lord Figure, 6-Inch

3.0 out of 5 stars Who?, September 7, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The long coat makes it difficult to pose Star Lord in any position other then just causally standing. There isn't much likeness to actor Chris Pratt in the face sculpt either, so most people who will want to display him will probably keep the alternate head with his helmet on instead. Where Star Lord shines is his accessories. You get two blasters, a Walkman, headphones, two different heads, and that orb that Ronan is so keen to get. Unfortunately that is too much for him to interact with. There is no place to hold the Walkman or orb, and no place to holster his blasters so he has to be posed holding them. The paint job is good on the figure and he does have a lot of playability so kids won't really care. Adult collectors will be a little disappointed in the limited poseability and lack of likeness to Chris Pratt, but should still be satisfied with their purchase. How else are you going to get that Groot arm?

4.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Goes Over This Figures Head, September 7, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
He's very poseable, you can see the likeness to Dave Bautista, and the pain job is excellent. He's little lacking in accessories compared to Star Lord and Rocket, but he is at least able to carry or holster both of his knives. Out of the six in this BAF series, Drax is the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars "You don't know me, I'm a bloody rock god!", March 29, 2011
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
One of the best in the first series of McFarlane LOST figures. This figure's resemblance to actor Dominic Monaghan is pretty close and defintly one of the best in this wave (unlike say, the Jack Shepherd figure). The detail is amazing, everything from the base, to Charlie himself is great. The FATE bandages are a nice touch. The sound clips are good and come out clear, the DS is one of the best props included in the line and is very durable (I accidently stepped on it, but it was fine. I wouldn't recommend doing that often thoug).
My only complaint (as with all of the first series) is some instructions to put the frame that holds the background and voice box together would have been nice. It's a simple frame and most people should be able to figure it out, but it still would have been nice. Still, not a big issue.
One last note, Charlie displays better opened then in his box. Even though I liked the packaging (series 2 had better I think), you just can't make out the great detail and enjoy the sound clips when he is in his plastic prison so I highly recommend opening him.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Cool 2-Pack, March 29, 2011

It was great when Hasbro decided to update these figures and give us the movie versions of the characters with excellent detail and articulation, and these repainted versions are no exception. They're modern figures, but painted in the style of the old Kenner versions which is a great treat for modern and vintage collectors.
The packaging is nice, with the double window, but the slip cover is kind of unnecessary which means you have to store it somewhere if you want to display it with the box opened to see the figures. I also enjoyed the "mislabeling" of the figures which is another great throwback to the Kenner versions.
A great set to have if you're a collector, but a child would be better off getting the movie versions of the characters from the Saga Legends line.

3.0 out of 5 stars You sure it's Matthew Fox?, September 1, 2010
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
There is very little likeness between this figure of Jack Shephard and Matthew Fox the actor who played him on LOST. The facial expression is kind of ridiculous with his mouth hanging open and I don't think we ever saw him make that face in the "Pilot" episode. The lack of instructions on how to put the display together is also a problem.
If I didn't like the show so much I probably never would have gotten this figure. On the plus side, once the figure is assembled it looks cool. The background is nice, the detail on Jack's suit and the base are excellent, and the box plays the sound clips loud and clear. It's a display only figure (nothing action about it) and for the fan who has bought all the other figures already.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another LOST Set For The Ultimate Fan, September 1, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you've been holding off getting the DVDs until the show ended then you might as well get this set cause at roughly $25 a season at Amzaon's current price ($148.99) it's a pretty decent deal.
But if you already have the DVDs and aren't a huge fan of the show then you might want to reconsider. Much like the "Season 5 Dharma Orientation Kit" there isn't much here that isn't going to excite anyone but the ultimate fan. Luckily for me, I happen to be one.
I was a little disappointed in the "secret message from Jacob" that was in the Ankh at first, but it turned out to be a fun puzzle to solve that revealed some interesting information (not answers). I also loved finding the bonus disc (it is same disc that came with the season 6 pre-order from BEST BUY) because of the way it was hidden. The Black Rock journal entry answered a question that was well worth the trouble deciphering the handwriting and the black light torch shows some cool hidden secrets. I'll never play the Senet game but it's still a cool prop to have (you'll have to do some hunting for the instructions on how to play).
Still, all I've listed as features I enjoy will just frustrate most casual viewers who were hoping for MORE(or all of the)answers to unanswered questions. I like it, it's a cool set, and if your a fan who loved the series from "Pilot" to "The End" then you probably will too. Anyone else, should probably just pass on it.
