2.0 out of 5 stars Very boring combat system and the video brightness has issues, April 1, 2015
This game looks like it could have been a lot more/better but its combat system is so lame and boring that it couldn't hold my interest for a full day. I tried giving it a chance but I regret spending my money on this. The only fun point was character creation and being able to play online like it was an mmorpg. Other than that, the fighting is very boring and lame compared older DBZ games like Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi.

It also has brightness/contrast problems that are very annoying. The main menu and video cutscenes look fine but the second you load up the game and get to town, the screen goes very dim and the colors become dull and washed out as well. it looks as if there's a grey filter or tint of color over the entire picture. you go back to main menu or watch cutscenes its very bright and colorful, you load your game and go back to town, its all screwed up again and much darker looking. After looking this up on google apparently this is a very common issue and problem with the game. I have tried several TV's including friends TV's, several settings on both the TV and console and several different consoles and they all have this issue.

You can see a detailed post with screenshots of the problem here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great anime series, but video quality could have been a little bit better, February 15, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great anime series and story but the video could have been better looking. There is ALOT of banding in this and it looks a bit poor. I still enjoyed it alot though. If you like detective things, touchign stories, and lots of action, this is a good pick for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very terrible audio sound, decent video., February 14, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The sound in this is god awful. it sounds like their speaking through a tunnel and everything is muffled and or weird sounding. The sound is very terrible. I put the DVD in after one episode and watched the first episode again on DVD and wow can you tell the difference. The audio on the DVD set sounds great while the Blu-Ray is awful sounding.

The video is okay, its a little blurry/soft but its not too bad. Still better video quality than the DVD being upscaled by the Blu-Ray player if you don't mind aliasing because its got pretty annoying line aliasing in the video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blu-Ray transfer looks nice and it seems unedited so far, February 11, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I personally feel from first glance and watching the new Diamond Edition Blu-Ray that they actually did one right without ruining it.

Looks like a well done transfer and it doesn't seem to be ruined or edited just yet. It doesn't appear to be blurred or over digitally denoised making it appear smeared up like other releases of theirs with lots of detail loss.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great show, awful video transfer! Possibly worse than the DVD., February 3, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great show and I rate it high for that. Im mostly rating this set lower because the video transfer quality is awful. It looks like a badly upscaled copy, and not a true nice looking HD copy.

Even if there was no 1080p master to work with, they could have done a much better job or at least put some effort into remastering this to look decent. This was just thrown together and put up for sale from the looks of it with minimal attempt to keep it looking nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really well done anime series, I couldn't stop watching it once I started., January 28, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This show great! It starts off kinda slow at getting you interested but as soon as you hit the end of episode 5, it picks up fast and holds your interest easily. It seems to get better the further along you go.

I'm just sad that there aren't more episodes yet and hope they make more.

1.0 out of 5 stars Drive failed within 24 hours of use., December 2, 2014
This hard drive failed on me within 24 hours of using it.

It was working fine but then out of nowhere my game install said the hard drive was out of space and it would not install. I retried and it gave me the same error.

This was a new drive and still had over 1.7TB free space left in it, so I restarted the computer to see if it was just windows acting up and then it wouldn't load anymore. All it did was make weird noises and never load.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very bad quality and far TOO MUCH grain/noise, November 26, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This has terrible quality picture and a ridiculous amount of grain/noise, so much that I cant even bear to watch it.

I usually appreciate grain and realize its details and in older films but this is way too much and it looks awful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much noise reduction made it look like a blob of liquid colors and destroyed details., November 24, 2014
They did a real strong noise reduction on this movie and it looks like smudged watercolors or oil pastels instead of nicely done colors and paint. All the fine details are destroyed as a result and instead of seeing lines on wood for example that makes it look like wood, its just all one smudged color or mixture of 2 colors.

If you can get past that and don't care about the details that make it look nice, then they did a nice job at cleaning it up, they just did it far too strongly.

I also notice the video going blurry, sharp, blurry, sharp, blurry, sharp over and over when certain scenes change.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great movie, not so great video transfer, November 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love this movie but I don't like the quality of the transfer done to Blu-Ray. Its got a ridiculous amount of noise/grain and theres MORE than obvious moving speckles all over the picture because of this. The DVD looks cleaner than this does. Normally I like grain, but its far too obvious and distracting in this transfer.

Other than that, I love this Blu-Ray and the movie!!

I'm happy to be able to see the Japanese Dub of this, I don't think they did the best job on the subtitles though.
