5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite smoking accessories, May 18, 2014
This review is from: The Li'l DigOut Tobacco Taster Box
OK, so I don't smoke.
But I bought this for a good friend who does.
And he absolutely loves it.

It's discreet (you can't even tell what it is).
It's wood (which handles quite nicely).
And it's smooth to the touch.

It's also small enough to fit in a pants pocket without causing a ruckus.
He fills it with his smoke of choice. The ceramic "cigarette" that comes with it is easy to fill and clean.

All in all, a classy, quality product.

He usually drinks Limitless NZT-48 Nootropic Brain Nutrients - with a Boost of Neurosteroids while he smokes. Evidently the combination is extremely effective.

All in all, it's a winning combo.
So... where's yours?

5.0 out of 5 stars SABI - Good for Small Vitamin Habits - But..., May 16, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
OK, I must admit: I bought this for the awesome ID (Industrial Design).
I have cool product lust. And this is pretty cool looking.

Does it work? Yes. It's elegant.
Well designed.
Even pretty.

Does it serve the average nutritional supplement user?
Depends on what you consider "average".

If you have 3 small (0-size capsules) or 6 medium sized tablets, you'll get by just fine.

For those of us with a serious capsule load, this is good for 15 minutes.

But we're not average.

And if you bought this for your medicines. And you have a light load (say, 3 capsules per day), you'll do just fine.
My Armour Thyroid, 2 grain tablets? You can fit a week's worth.

My HyperFocus DRIVE for FOCUS and MOTIVATION.? I could barely squeeze 1 into each of the chambers.

My HappyCaps - Mood-Enhancing, Brain Boosters? 3 fit perfect. And since I rarely take more than 1 a day, this works.

But here's the part I like: It's a beautiful package. And the internal slider is smooth and sexy.

My NOW Foods Vitamin D3 5000 Iu? I can fit 18 in this puppy. Enough for 2 weeks worth.

My point is this: The product rocks for the small doses.
And it's beautiful. Even innocuous. Nobody would ever suspect you're carrying.

But for larger capsules and pills, head for the Holster Grande - Extra-large clip-and-go pill box - this puppy rocks the larger doses elegantly. And is not much bigger than the one reviewed here.

Grandma? Geek? Nitroglycerine freak?
Get the SABI. It's sexy. And cheap.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most Delicious Meal Replacement/Performance Shake Evah!, December 10, 2013
Length:: 0:48 Mins

FullStrength is by far the most complete meal replacement shake ever developed. Especially for men. The nutrition cannot be denied. And damn, these things are tasty! But filling enough to keep you from going back for seconds. Pre or post workout. Or just simply a real-deal meal replacement. Check the science.

Oh, and Full Strength Premium Nutrition Shake - Vanilla is a great flavor alternative. Keep things rockin'.
Escape the trap of Bro-science. Go directly to The Real Thing. (And no, this is not some compensated endorsement. I just know what I like. And more importantly, what works).

Some additional pieces of the health and fitness puzzle are:

The creator of Full Strength also created THE program for living an holistic, integral life: Strength for Life: The Fitness Plan for the Rest of Your Life. With a focus on holistic "strength", in all areas of life, Shawn shows, by science and by example, how to create a life that is strong in all areas.

His book on crafting powerful abs and core strength is THE de facto standard among true health, wellness and fitness professionals: ABSolution: The Practical Solution for Building Your Best Abs. An incredibly rich book on how to structure your fitness, food intake and supplementation program to help you create more than killer abs. It's a guide to an awesome, balanced and healthy life.

Optimizing hormones is a key part of Full Strength. To add additional energy, mental clarity, drive and improve hormone levels even further, I use and recommend without hesitation: Limitless NZT-48+Restoramones - Experiential Brain Nutrients - with a Boost of Neurosteroids. With the first sip, you will experience motivation, drive and mental clarity. And the customized levels of precursor-hormones help increase and balance hormone levels in your body. Very experiential.

Finally, I'm a huge fan of being able to make my Full Strength Shakes fast, with almost no cleanup. That leads to my current favorite "mid-end" blender, the Nutri Bullet Hi-Speed Blender/Mixer System. It's affordable. Fast to use. And super easy to clean. Think of it as a Bullet Blender on Steroids (not that we would use steroids...;-)

If you follow the program Shawn outlines in your Full Strength Shake. Learn and apply the insights from his books, blog and podcasts. Get your body moving. And supplement correctly. You will find, in short order, that you are an indomitable human. The person you become when you're healthy can move mountains. That is, truly, Full Strength.

5.0 out of 5 stars FullStrength made a Meal Replacement/Fitness Shake believer out of me., December 10, 2013
By Far the best, most full-featured, delicious high-performance meal replacement shake in the known universe.
They also service the hell out of their customers. And FullStrength wasn't developed by some lackey: Shawn Phillips is The Real Thing.

Full Strength Shake comes with plenty of insights on how to use a shake to optimize your physiological performance.

If you want even more detail, you're in luck: The man behind Full Strength has written an incredible book on living a healthy, integrated and empowered life: Strength for Life: The Fitness Plan for the Rest of Your Life.

As for thickness (referencing another review here): This is a full-bodied shake. I mix frozen blueberries, nuts, some MCT oil and a little ice. And I use distilled water as my base (vs milk). Rich. Thick. And incredibly filling. And don't miss out on Full Strength Premium Nutrition Shake - Chocolate. Richest, most delicious chocolate sports performance shake in the world.

For additional boost in hormone levels, energy and mental focus (and repair), I lean into Limitless NZT-48+Restoramones - Experiential Brain Nutrients - with a Boost of Neurosteroids. The combination of energy and motivation, with the addition of precursor-hormones, is useful in optimizing the Full Strength person.

FInally, I'm all about simplicity. And though I have a huge appreciation for the best blenders on the planet. I also want a fast blend and a near instant cleanup. That's where the Nutribullet Pro 900 Series comes in. Fast and Furious blending with a high torque motor, and large, Full Strength-capable blender cups. A must for anyone who wants to Shake Things Up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nail It & Scale It: LEAN Startup+$100 Startup meet 4-Steps to the Epiphany, July 28, 2012
Eric Ries The Lean Startup: How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses and Chris Guillebeau The $100 Startup: Reinvent the Way You Make a Living, Do What You Love, and Create a New Future would agree: This is a perfect compliment to their very powerful and inspiring nuts and bolts books on how to create an in-demand product: low risk, high on customer feedback.

Add The Four Steps to the Epiphany: Successful Strategies for Products that Win, and you have the rocketship guides all entrepreneurs seek: "How do I create a high-demand product, profitable company, and get out of my own way fast enough to develop a success platform?"

The book is incredibly rich. The diagrams are powerful, simple to grasp and easy to share. Critical when all of your time and energy are focused on moving forward.

A must read, and a ready reference.

To ensure you can quickly read and retain the info, I've found a LEAN startup that provides a mission critical element: Brain Power, energy, confidence and retention Real NZT - Feel SuperHuman - Powerful Nootropic, Highly Experiential Limitless Brain Nutrient.

The above is an unbeatable combination, regardless of your entrepreneurial experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top 2 Fat-Soluble Brain Stimulant, July 28, 2012
NeuroWave is a great start into the world of fat-soluble Nootropics (brain-enhancing supplements). Totally safe and non-toxic.

I recommend taking with a good source of Choline such as Now Foods Sunflower Lecithin Non GMO. And a good fish oil as well.

The combination will work much more effectively, and eliminate the chance of a headache from choline depletion.

And very powerful combination of racetams and cholines, along with other neuroprotective and neurostimulants is Real NZT - Feel SuperHuman - Powerful Nootropic, Highly Experiential Limitless Brain Nutrients. This product gets relatively close to the wakefulness demonstrated in the film Limitless (Bradley Cooper).

Aniracetam is also unique in that it can be taken later in the day without causing undue stimulation. Though my experience is you cannot take it at bedtime. You'll remain in a state of semi-sleep all night (though interestingly, you feel fairly clear the next morning - just fatigued).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Aerobics - Add Weights and Protein for a Complete Program, May 20, 2012
As a basic aerobic trainer, the Schwinn Airdyne performs well.
Better than a classic stationary bike. Better than a slow walk.

The key word is "basic". I have seen far too many of these littering fitness clubs. I've spent a number of hours on the prior versions of this trainer. It's god if you're a beginer, and are concerned with your heart condition, and need to take it slow.

But you will get more of a workout. More muscle, heart and lung work. Just by taking a 20 minute walk. With hand weights. At a brisk pace.

Sadly, many of these devices end up as clothes racks after 90 days then remain in service. If you buy it, commit to using it. And don't idle on it. Push yourself hard, and it will perform. As a mechanical workout device, the Schwinn Airdyne products will stand up to thousands of hours of hard riding. Be the kind of person that pushes the machine. You'll thank yourself for it.

A couple of recommendations would be:

1) Get off the saddle every minute or two. It makes a significant difference in how your blood flows. And which muscle groups are getting the benefit of your time on the Airdyne.

2) Find a way to make the time pass. A stationary bike can feel like a prison fairly quickly. If you want to make the trip worth it, get a book on Audible or MP3, plug in This American Life or something to pull you into the story. Anything to keep you moving and get your mind off the repetition.

3) Supplement this activity with weights. You'll gain more long-term benefit with the combo than with either alone.

4) After your ride, force yourself to do air squats until "failure" (until you can't do one more). That will do incredible things to your upper thigh muscles and butt. And you'll find it MUCH easier to use the Airdyne for longer rides.

3) Supplement your ride with a solid protein powder supplement. You will find the combination of the exercise AND a high protein, low carb (not Atkins level - you need balance. More toward Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength type of routine (note: BFI with this program will give you the fastest, most predictable results possible in the shortest time, guaranteed).
My favorite protein supplements are:
Whey Protein Powder 36.5 oz (1,035 grams) Pwdr by Swanson Premium (a great, simple Whey Protein. Not too sweet. Great vanilla flavor).
NOW Foods Whey Protein Isolate, 100% Pure 5Lb (another excellent protein powder. A bit sweeter than the Swanson's, if that's your preference)
Full Strength Nutrition | Premium Protein Shakes and Meal Replacement Shakes for Men (Men will appreciate the special blend, developed by Shawn Phillips, co-founder of Body For Life).

One thing I do know: Take a motivating supplement like Real NZT - Age-reversing, Highly Experiential Brain Nutrients - Get SuperHuman Energy and Clarity and you'll move far beyond sitting and biking in a corner while watching soaps. Even some black coffee with cinnamon - something to get you motivated and moving at a faster than normal rate. You'll burn more calories, have more fun, and find the routine of adding Secret Sauce to your program will do wonders for your progress.

And Fish Oil - I cannot say enough about making sure you keep your human machine well oiled. You'll have more strength, longer lasting workouts, greater overall clarity, and less muscle fatigue. My favorite, by far, is Barlean's Orange Cream Total Omega Swirl, 16-Ounce - it's expensive. But one taste will have you rethinking fish oil.

(P.S. I love Schwinn. If you need something to motivate you to move more, on the way to doing your first exercise routine, this could be a good start. It's cheaper than 4 months of a club. And having it in your spare room might keep it close enough that you'll actually use it). Best of success on your way to real strength.

4.0 out of 5 stars Being Alan Alda - An inside Look at The Mind of (a) Man, May 20, 2012
First off - I've always appreciated Alan Alda's humor and self deprecation. A nice treat from big egos.

Secondly: I spent most of my life creating products and nutrition to help make people smarter, faster, longer lasting. Like a good gum.

This series is really great. I can share it with my kids, or simply take it in and gain bits and pieces of the Big Picture that may have escape me in my research.

Seeing Alan's gray matter light-up is cool. Understanding how the brain is effected by various stimuli is uber cool.

My questions now involve:
1) How would his brain light-up if inspired by software (programs that challenge thinking) like Brainstorming and Creativity Software
2) Under the influence of Nootropics (natural neural stimulants) like Real NZT-48 - Experiential Brain Nutrients, how much more progressive would his results be (in both illuminating the fMRI, and illuminating his thoughts)?

Brain research continues to progress at an incredible rate. The ability to dampen the effects of Alzheimers and dementia - even reverse them, is incredible. We're no longer victims to our condition, but quickly becoming less allergic to our environment and the march of time.

Looking forward to more of these shows. And BONUS!: With your Amazon Prime account, these babies are free. Very cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Todd's Creative Release - Your Limitless Musical Gain, May 20, 2012
This review is from: Healing (DVD)
It was the mid '90's, and I was lost.

Not totally. It was Salem, Oregon, and for some reason I could not find my way out of the place. Like all roads lead to The Mall.

Enter Todd's Healing album.
I popped it in the CD player of my 300Z, and unwound from the Rush-Zeppelin inspired rock. To something much more meaningful.

And in Healing, I was changed.

The album was this crazy mix of synth tracks overshadowed by the clarity of Todd's incredible vocal scales (Whitney, you had nothing on the intro vocal riff of the first song "Healer" and his awesome "myyyyy chilllldddd").

That's all it took. Being "stuck" in Salem was no longer an issue. It was pure joy.

Todd's spiritual tale flows through you as the album flows from song to song. Like he was taking Real NZT - Highly Experiential Brain Booster - Feel SuperHuman and writing Stream of Consciousness.

I've seen bits and pieces of the upcoming DVD on YouTube. It's perfect, awesome, inspiring. And just psychedelic enough to cross the blood-brain barrier to immerse the whole of your being in the music.

A must-have. Todd is an undisputed hero of creation and production. And his confidence on the stage, clarity of voice, and sense of humor all work to craft an indelible experience.

The 80/20 Principle from SmarterComics

5.0 out of 5 stars The 80/20 Principle In Graphic Detail..., December 13, 2011
Tim Ferriss. - How he developed The 4-Hour Workweek and The 4-Hour Body.
Will Marre'/Stephen Covey. - How these business/life leaders created such a powerful work-life balance process.
Olafur Arnalds/George Winston. - Listen and you'll hear how they've stripped notes from the musical score to give us just enough. Perfect.

No need to go further to explain The Pareto Principle in life and business.

By applying this simple concept: 20% of your effort accomplishes 80% (or more) of your desired result. Meaning the rest is a waste of your energy, time and expenses.

Simple, right? You'd think.

But in reality, we as humans get very myopic very quickly. And end up brute-forcing our way through work, life, problems.

The book has always been seemingly counterintuitive. Until you look beneath the cover. And this illustrated version makes it fun and engaging beyond geek speak and the typical academic application. It's fun. It's cool. It's even awesome as a tool for central discussions amongst project teams.

The illustrated version by our friends at is truly all you need to get the gist, and apply it. Today.

Love this. I'm getting copies for my kids for Christmas. And for my business partners (to keep us refining our processes and being efficient, productive and happy).

Some additional tools worth examining within this genre':
The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman, where Tim describes, in detail, how he applies the Pareto Principle in every area of health, fitness... even sex. Really.

Richard's newest book, Superconnect: Harnessing the Power of Networks and the Strength of Weak Links which actually creates a valuable discussion around how the 20% he referenced in the 80/20 Principle is different today than when he wrote the book. Facebook and Twitter fans will dig his insights here.

Brainstorming and Creativity Software - Thoughtoffice Innovation Tools - Mac OSX - Windows XP-7 is software that is a nod to Richards most recent book - associative thinking and how that leads to more effectiveness. Even if not directly. Great comics like Drew Carey and great writers like Rick Warren both use this to rewire their brains for more efficient expressions.

Newsjacking: How to Inject your Ideas into a Breaking News Story and Generate Tons of Media Coverage - David Meerman Scott expounds on how real-time insertion of your message into trending topics can help you leapfrog your competition, riding the tide of someone else's related events, PR and news stories. It's the 20% refined to the Nth degree.

I love ALL of SmarterComics works to date. They have really taken the graphic novel to new heights. And made complex ideas accessible in a single sitting.
