Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Before purchasing, be aware that this set was SUPPOSED TO come with instructions warning you to charge the batteries at least 12 hrs before the FIRST use, otherwise the battery life is reduced. Mine had no instructions at all, so I charged them until the charger-station's light indicators said they were ready to use. They lasted only about 1 hour before going into Low Battery zone. I decided to fully deplete each battery until "dead" and recharge for 12 hrs. This seemed to help, as they now hold about 3-4 hrs [on good days]. I haven't tried Nintendo-brand battery packs, but Ray-O-Vac disposable batteries seemed to last about 5 times longer (at least) than these rechargeable packs. Check out Nintendo-brand chargers before being lured in by the low, low price of this set -- I've had this set for about a month, and I'm sure I've already wasted about 20 extra hours of household electricity than if I'd spent a few extra bucks buying a set manufactured by Nintendo.
