4.0 out of 5 stars A Few Questions Answered, NAS Drive Recommendation, September 22, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A couple questions I had, answered.
1) So, can this thing hold all my mp3's? No, it's not a storage, it requires the music be on other storage on the network. However, it can access that storage through either wired or wireless, provided you set up the storage correctly.
2) What kind of storage can I use? The squeezebox will access music through a computer running the squeezebox server that's on your network. That said, SOME NAS drives can run the software themselves, so all you'd need is that NAS drive running on your network. Obviously, you'll need a computer to rip the music onto that server. Some NAS drives run the software, and Buffalo Linkstation live is NOT ONE OF THEM. $100 down the tubes there. Netlink readynas, I believe, does automatically hook into the squeezebox. The buffalo USED TO run the server software, but no longer has it in their load. Apparently it was dogging the drive too heavily.
3) How's it work? The squeezebox simply locates the music on your system and ports it into your stereo. It works through wireless or wired. It comes with a controller that also works wirelessly, the controller is like an ipod and scrolls through the music and shows the album covers. Pretty cool.

3.0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory for the Price, September 11, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After spending time at a state park, with the heavy gauge galvanized picnic table frames, I ordered this one. It's not as heavy as those, more a basic stamped metal frame under the table, and thinner but lighter tubular steel legs. But, it's at least half the price of those, and comes in a smaller box, I'm sure. Setup requires your own lumber, sawing, drilling and a small amount of planning. The hardware is all very reasonable for the price, though. I'd recommend this for a backyard with light to typical use, NOT if you have kids that will be using it as a bmx ramp or whatever. You might want to spend the extra money at that point. But, then again, it will be much easier to haul around for the mower. So, ok.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Great, Dirt Cheap, May 9, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Works great. I had purchased a previous charger that supposedly fit and it never did. But I marked it off on the "you get what you pay for" list. This, on the other hand, is cheap AND works, fits my 30GB Creative Vision M perfectly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a battery, January 20, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Of all the batteries I've ever purchased, this is definitely one of them. The aesthetic superiority makes this quite a value. The density and mass of the battery is just perfect to keep it sitting in place where ever that is. Since the color is silver, it's shiny. Voltage seems to be within spec, as it properly powers that into which it is placed. I recommend this product for whomever needs this kind of battery. However, if you're NOT looking for this kind of battery, select another, because this would then be incompatible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Kids, January 20, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A collection of little mini games, this is perfect for my 6, 8, and 10 year olds. Not many xbox 360 titles like that out there. Cute, but still funny enough to keep their attention. As an adult, I think there's many others out there that are more compelling, but the 5 stars is for the kids.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Much Game for the Money, January 20, 2008
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Unless you're REALLY into tetris games, or you're going to use the xbox live free month in this game, then don't bother. The positive, it gives you an idea about what kind of stuff is available on xbox live. There are periodic deals on this game that, if you're going to cash in the xbox live coupon, will make it worth while. Do the math. If this costs anything near the cost of a month of xbox live, then go for it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work, No Communication, September 2, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This item (and the house charger that came with it) fit neither my nor my wife's brand new Creative Vision M 30GB players. Tried to contact the company, and got NO communication for a return. Please note, I'm an engineer, repair electronics for fun, so I know when something is not right, and this thing is just NOT compatible with my player. Perhaps it fits the 60GB model?

I would strongly advise against spending your money on this item. Go the extra few bucks and get one from a reputable source. You get what you pay for, I suppose.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!, August 13, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading the other review, I was concerned. But it slid right on my vision M 30GB, and everything works great. It's not THICK like a scuba suit, more like 2 or 3mm thick, but has a neoprene feel to it. The buttons all work fine, everything plugs in fine, too. Comes with a ratcheting rotating belt clip, which is removable, an arm band, and a belt loop. The only complaint is that the construction makes the window a titsch smaller than the creative window, but it has to be that way, or they couldn't sew it together. All in all a great product!

4.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE MY SCUMBUSTER, July 6, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Would give it a 5 except it uncharges quickly, can't make it through a whole tub. But, then, we're busy people and the tub gets pretty bad. Comes with a range of accessories for cleaning, various pads, grill cleaning, bathtub, countertops, etc. Where do I get replacement pads??? Can't put softscrub or anything thick into the automatic sprayer, we use simple green and that works nicely.

It's larger than I thought, about 10" by 10", and weighs a bit. Check that before purchasing.

There seem to be two "S600" models on amazon right now. I don't see the difference, bought the cheaper of the two. Enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clarify design issue, October 1, 2006
To clarify after the previous reviews:

The wires for the USB and power attach on the LONG side, right by the four buttons. Yes, there is a slot that looks like it was intended to hold them, they probably found that there was interference, so YES there is a warning not to use those slots, to let the wires hang.

The Hinge is also on the same long side, so, if you are putting this on a shelf, with the long side on the back wall and the wires hanging down, then you're fine. The buttons will be at the back, perhaps hard to see, but probably not.

If, on the other hand, you're going to put it on the side of your desk, with the SHORT side against the wall, then the wires either will sit on your desk (buttons at the front), or over the side (buttons will be at the back)

So there you go, I just bought this and it works really well, but my old scanner was pathetic and anything that doesn't light on fire at this point is an improvement for me, read the other reviews for functionality.....

Cheers.
