SPRI Slam Medicine Ball, 10-Pound
SPRI Slam Medicine Ball, 10-Pound

5.0 out of 5 stars Delivers as promised!, February 18, 2016

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
You get exactly what is promised here. This ball is meant to be manhandled and thrown against a wall and be very durable. Although I have not tested it's limits, I can imagine that you could do all of those things as this item is very solid and does appear to be durable. At 10 pounds, I carry it around the house a lot just to get a bit of extra exercise and use to to hold when doing sit-ups. I also will use it for shoulder raises at very high reps.

This would be excellent for women who don't lift the same weight as men sometimes (no gender jokes here, please.) My wife uses it for many different exercises that would it would be too light for me to do.

A great addition to any home exercise facility for sure.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good material, just not enough of it., February 18, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book follows the lead of other cross section books and is great in that it will give you information you didn't know about the vehicles seen in the movie. If you want expanded knowledge on those seen in the Force Awakens, this will definitely be an excellent read for you.

The problem I have with this book is that it is quite light. There just aren't that many new vehicles in this movie and some of the ones that are in here are the X-Wing and Tie Fighter which are in other books as well. When purchasing this, just know that it is not that thick-but the information contained within it is valuable and good.

OK, so I am not sure how much I like this food, but the guinea pigs love it! Whenever I go to open the bag they squeak at me! I have two females and they seem very happy and healthy with this food after about 3 months of eating it. A +!

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent value and a really cool item, February 18, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
When I was growing up remote control cars were many times more expensive than this so to get a licensed product such as this with Darth Vader sounds and cool looks is just a great value. The remote is small so it is meant for small kids like my 5 year old. It is easy for him to drive and the batteries seem to last a decent amount of time.

As noted in several other reviews, I have no idea how this thing can be so loud?!?!? I mean this thing just screams and screams and screams! Also, it would be nice to have the rights and lefts not be so sharp, but for the price and with the Star Wars license it would seem you get exactly what you pay for or a bit more. If you are thinking of purchasing this as a gift for your Star Wars fan, I think that is a great idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kellerman hits a home run!, February 18, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I have read some Jonathan Kellerman before and have liked his books, but he has never been a staple of mine. Perhaps he should be! This book is a purely investigative thriller with his hero Alex Delaware the psychologist that is unraveling a mystery of where a former actresses son has gone, as well as why several other murders were committed and what, if anything they had to do with each other.

I was compelled throughout the whole read and very much enjoyed this book. It will keep you turning the pages, in particular if you like investigative thrillers. If this book looks good to you, and you like Delaware and Kellerman-Pick this one up! Riveting and satisfying to the last page!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just OK-not really my cup of tea, February 18, 2016
This review is from: The Undoing (Paperback)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I was very intrigued by the premise of this book, but the execution was not as riveting as I would have liked. The characters are Julian, Celia, Eric and Rory. They have secrets from an event that occurred 5 years previous that unfolds through their reunion of sorts at the renovation of a hotel. All are brought back together and the begin telling a story that will reach a crescendo and shocking conclusion.

The story is told from multiple points of view so their thoughts on the mystery need to be puzzled together a bit, but everything does come together so that eventually the reader realizes where everything up to that point led.

This is not my favorite type of story-telling because during the process of reading, I was not all that entertained. I was more reading just to understand what the conclusion was. Why did I care about these people and what really happened. The journey, if you will, was not that enjoyable although the conclusion is fairly interesting.

If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this one is not it. A reasonably satisfying read, it wouldn't be my first choice for the beach.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value in the Star Wars line and overall an excellent set, February 5, 2016
I am an adult collector that also builds with my 5 year old son. Purchased new at Lego retail this set is $39.99.

* The piece count/price ratio has to be one of the highest in all of Lego at 7.5 cents per piece. Anything under 10 cents is great-especially for a licensed set like Star Wars
* Yes many of those pieces are Battle Droids, but still...
* This set has a built in Army at just $40! It come with 12 Battle Droids-all with weapons and 2 Battle Droid pilots (no weapons) and a Gungan.
* Due to the large number of figures the playability for this set is strong, although battle droids are flimsy.
* The build is average to below average. Nothing special here, but the finished product is a good size and impressive.
* Has wheels so it can roll, which is cool.
* Battle Droids come on platform that can be slid out from ship.
* Guns racks can be flicked off of ship.
* Pilot portion can come off and be put on front or back or used independently.

Summary: Although the build is nothing special, if you could use an army of Battle Droids and want a set that can do more than 'Swoosh' this is an outstanding value and overall excellent set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this now-It's awesome for the Force Awakens fan!!, January 4, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is an absolute must for the Star Wars The Force Awakens fan regardless of age. The detail that is present is very impressive and gaining insight in to the detail of characters backgrounds, weapons, behaviors, etc. as well as weapons, creatures and more adds so many more dimensions to the movies. Visually the book is beautiful, but being a DK book, you already knew that. There is quite a bit of information here that is vital to the story such as, Who is the old guy at the very beginning of the movie and what is role, really? A must add to your Star Wars library if you have one. Start one with this if you do not.

4.0 out of 5 stars A compelling first debut and worthy of a read, January 4, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Beth has a daughter named Carmel who tends to disappear but potentially has a propensity for unusual "Powers." Beth is divorced from her husband, Paul who is Carmel's dad at the time she goes to a Festival with Carmel and she disappears. Where she goes and the story that unfolds surrounding Carmel is the crux of the story and is told entirely from Carmel's point of view. I would guess that 2/3 of the book relates to her predicament and her feelings toward what has happened to her while the other third is relating to what Beth does to find Carmel and what is going through her mind.

Do not mistake this for a traditional thriller as there is very little with regard to the investigative portion of the search. The story really revolves around Carmel's thought process during her plight, how she deals with it and what mainly, the evolution of her emotions as time goes by. Although what happened to Carmel is revealed very early in the book it would be a spoiler to mention it, but that situation is very unique and emotionally interesting.

I am not sure Beth's thoughts were fully explored during this book of which the copy I read was just 324 pages but I am not sure that was the point of the book. The pages do turn although the authors writing style can be a bit hard to follow with her wistful ways at times. Perhaps trying to do too much with visually painting a picture rather than telling the story directly to the reader.

I have not read some of the books that this novel has been compared to other than say, Gone Girl or Girl on the Train but both of those are better books than this one in my opinion. Certainly the emotional side explored with Carmel is compelling and worthy of a read, however.

Note to the potential reader: Do not page forward in this book to see how many pages it is as if you look at the title of the last chapter it gives away part of the suspense in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great alternative to many other Star Wars Series books from the 6 movies., December 28, 2015

We have both Star Wars Trilogy in ever form of children's book including the originals from the late 70's and early 80's so I wasn't sure that these were needed but what the heck, it's Star Wars! So I purchased them and immediately found that my daughter who is 3 was much more interested in reading these than the others. These books are much "Softer" than most others and really more about Star Wars being fun and everyone being nice with interesting creatures vs. Good vs. Evil. They do still do a great job roughly telling the story. The artistry is excellent and they have become an integral part of our evening reading time!

Highly recommended for aspiring young Star wars fan. My kids are 3 and 5.
