5.0 out of 5 stars I own this video, November 14, 2000
This review is from: The Idolmaker [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Saw this movie in 1980 and was very impressed with the soundtrack. I then purchased the album and have always wondered why it was not issued in cd form. As for the movie I rate the story and music better than most musicals. Ray Sharkey dancing in the background while Tommy D is singing is a highlight. The only unbelievable aspect is the Memphis part of the movie. I have often wondered what became of Paul Land he was fabulous as Tommy D. I now show my daughter the musical scenes and she just wants to watch them over and over again. Great music Great movie

1.0 out of 5 stars pure sleaze, March 17, 2000
This review is from: In the Cut (Paperback)
The characters seemed so phony that I couldnt wait until they all bit the dust. After reading the haunting novel Collectors this book seemed liked pure trash. No atmosphere or character depth It stunk

5.0 out of 5 stars eerily rewarding, March 15, 2000
This review is from: Collectors: A Novel (Hardcover)
I found this book to be so haunting that I read it a second time. I enjoyed it even more as I picked up some strange feelings about Jeans childhood friend. I feel that the friend set her up by not warning her. She said that she invited Jean to come to her wedding after thinking about the games they used to play.
Think this could be a very good movie if they can create the atmosphere the way the book has. I found myself fascinated by the bargaining sessions for pens and binoculars. Will continue to be on the lookout for more novels by this very interesting writer.
