The Dr. "acts" like it is a fair and unbiased informational treatise.
But he makes money on convincing parents to opt-in, even though he says 70% want it for purely cosmetic reasons, and 17% for religious reasons!
He even lists the sickening complications he has encountered,
Harvey Kellogg has met his match!

Loved the original 14 books, and they're all here. The chapter/Title page are poor jumping off points...a few hyperlinks, and this would be a 5star review!

Next to Moondance, this song is whimsically catchy, yet morosely introspective. Reminds me of so many Kinks songs that do the same.

Great song, probably his 3rd most well-known hit

4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Fassbinder Film, falls flat on VHS, May 10, 2014

This review is from: Querelle [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The Movie, like the book, is a series of scandals. The imagery is quite arresting. The various imprecations are woven into a love/hate tapestry that if you like the gay themes, is titillating.

The VHS was its own worst enemy! Not only has the printed label faded, but the video quality has also fallen. The worst part the 'copy-guard,' which was a sneaky upset of the control track, to prevent copying and giving to friends, has eroded to an unwatchable mess. It constantly jitters and frequently blacks out the image, as it constantly endeavors to maintain the control matter HOW GOOD your VCR tracking is!

I checked, the tape surface was barely worn, the tape's structure was unwrinkled. Yet crucial plot moments and drama was sacrificed for copy protection, no wonder the VHS market began to fail, BEFORE the introduction of DVDs!

In short fascinating Fassbinder Film, falls flat on VHS

A regular sous chef in the Iron Chef Kitchen Stadium, she has been elevated in her own right.

The recipes collected are earthy, and deceptively easy to follow. They are mostly delicious and crowd-pleasing, for covered dish gatherings.
Her roots, as a moderately low income child to the heights of Chef fame, are presented as a as aladder

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun and RARE music...with a disappointing twist, October 2, 2013

I had heard a song or two of this rarely performed Operetta by Victor Herbert (BABES IN TOYLAND, not LES MISERABLES,)

The Music is bright and refreshingly only gripe is: The DYNAMICS are muted, as if recorded from stage microphones, [THE MP3 edition does NOT explain if this was a LIVE recording of a show, or a STUDIO PERFORMANCE of a show.] But there is muddy lyrics in the chorus, as if they are trying to remember the words and the dance steps.

Yeah you CAN turn up the volume to a degree, but when one of these tunes pop up in a random playlist queue, it is obvious just how muted the overall volume is.

SO, If you haven't heard the music, or story: Like ANY operetta, you're bound to get lost. If you know the words and music, you aren't going to get a refresher course here. If you WANT to hear the show, and you dedicate the time JUST for can turn up the volume, and with some success hear all the dialog and nuances of song.

[The BUDDY EBSEN tap dance in wooden shoes which opens the even rarer FILM of The RED MILL is wildly unbelieveable.]

DON'T GET THIS IF: you plan on playing it in the background while, or adding it to a showtunes playlist.

DO GET THIS IF: You can dedicate the time [and perhaps google the libretto] so you can enjoy the representation of vintage theater.

5.0 out of 5 stars AUTOBAHN: The Masterpiece, August 30, 2013
This review is from: Autobahn (Audio CD)
When you consider the immaturity of the MOOG SYNTHESIZER at the time of this multitrack recording, EACH SOUND had to be generated on a separate Track and MIXED-DOWN. They MAY HAVE HAD one synthesizer each, or there may have been turns on the single one.
Like Mike Oldfield's TUBULAR BELLS multi-track recording, the overall concept-transition points-and Key structures had to be lain clearly before the start. Now, with Multi-synth sequencing, they can re-create this monumental effort LIVE!
As you twist and fold through the (okay SOMETIMES CHEESY) Sound Effects, Vocals and Musicality of the 25 minute Title Track, one can become mesmerized by the unexpected and hip tempo shifts. It Takes Up ALL of Side 1 on the LP Vinyl.
Side TWO: With Tunes like Morning WALK, and Comet Melody are a little heavy on the (Cheesy) Sound Effects, but the SOARING MELODY of KOMMETENMELODIE (Comet Melody) far surpasses ANYTHING on Side One's Infectious title Track. VERY FEW Foreign Language Hits were on 1970's American Hit Radio (Eres TU from MOCADEDES comes to mind) so for the 7" (if You're luck enough to locate one) to get airplay was an honest coup. For mainstream people to be singing/humming "FAWN FAWN FAWN Indy Otto Bon" not even knowing the meaning, is a true testament to the Infectious Lyrics
We are Driving Driving Driving on the AutoBahn
Before us is a huge valley
Grey Ribbon, Green Edges
We turn the Radio on
Out of the Loudspeaker spills
We're Driving on the Autobahn."

So by Now I hope "AUS Dem Loutschprecken Kling est dan, Wir Farhn auf der Autobahn!"

A True Electronica Masterpiece, to be revered every bit as much as SWITCHED ON BACH (...if you're into that sort of thing.)

The very Classic NILSSON SCHMILSSON album got a nice set of remastering!

[The bonus tracks are supposed to cost nothing extra, hence bonus, but AREN'T worth paying extra to get ...once you've heard them, they probably will not be your go to cuts!]

There were SEVERAL top radio hits on this album, (Lime and) COCONUT, JUMP
INTO THE FIRE, (Can't Live, If Living is) WITHOUT YOU, (C'Mon Baby) LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL, GOTTA GET UP so it is HARD to keep them from 'jumping out of context' within the framework of the album.

The experimental fringes and dance beats are everything you would expect from the PET SHOP BOYS, throw in their 'suitably vapid' lyrics and you have a juggernaut of dance tracks to sip your Appletinis, and dance your tush to oblivion.

[Also Performed by the MONKEES in their movie HEAD... The first performance I had heard of this song] Both Harry Nilsson, and Davey Jones had clear and beautiful voices to sing these sentiments!

If the truth was not known about Harry Nilsson's estrangement and terse relationship with his quite absentee father, this would be a beautific song.

As such, it is sardonic in the wishes expressed and the praise given.

The tune holds up, It was not a radio hit for Nilsson (nor The MONKEES for that matter) but as ablum filler, it clearly rises to the top.
