3.0 out of 5 stars My score, 7/10. Good for a rental, May 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Pros:
The level design and game mechanics were interesting enough to keep me playing
The bosses were challenging and creative
The level design for each tower was well thought out
Something erotic about seeing Elena begrudgingly eat purple flesh and watch it drip from her mouth which kept me going back for more
Interactions with Elena are gratifying and she has a lot of dialogue that seldom repeats
The game takes about 30 hours to beat, which if it were any longer, given the cons, would have been unbearable.

Cons:
The music is the same for each of the 12 towers. Very repetitive.
The controls are very iffy, and sometimes non-responsive. You find yourself doing things you don't intend, all the time. For example, swinging and jumping too early or late, falling off of ledges inadvertently, targeting the wrong body parts on monsters. It gets quite frustrating
The camera is awful many times when fighting enemies off screen, or when the camera is too close to you
The timer for Elena's transformation drains way too fast. If you want to keep a high affinity with her, you have to return in 15 minutes with new flesh so that she does not begin to transform. This puts a real damper on your flow when exploring a tower or when trying to figure out a puzzle
The combat is the same for every enemy in the game. All you do is chain the enemy up, charge your special attack, then attack. Very boring
Your attacks have no stopping power against enemies. They behave as if you are not attacking them ever. This makes it difficult to pull off attack chains
The whole time it made me want to play Shadow of the Colossus instead, due to its similar storyline (which I guess could be a pro?)
And of course, the best weapon upgrades and treasures aren't available until the very end of the game when they are already useless

Overall, I give it a 7/10. While there were a lot of cons that made me frustrated with the game, I'd be lying if I didn't enjoy it a little bit at least. It's good for a rental at the most.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage, October 10, 2011

Doesn't even make a good paper weight. I'm baffled why anyone would give this thing a good review. It doesn't work with any game properly because of the fish eye effect. $35 down the drain.

Placing the sensor on top of my t.v. at eye level turns out to be much better then sitting on the bottom. It gives the Kinect better angles to work with and is immediately noticable. It has good placement and is pretty level and sturdy. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic, June 28, 2011

Like the title says, this book is epic and I truly love it. Unlike other zombie stories, this is a heart wrenching story of a group of survivors doing everything they realistically can to survive a zombie apocalypse. As you place yourself in their shoes, the human emotions it invokes within you will stay with you forever. Also, don't expect this story to follow the normal storytelling elements of a book or movie. Just like real life, anything can happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's good..., June 28, 2011

It does the job pretty well. I like not having to worry about charging it, and the suction is powerful. To be honest though, I wish I had just got a regular vacuum because it's not much more convenient.

Friends say the audio is great, but it breaks after a short while where the cord connects. You have to be very careful with the wire, any slight tugs or abuse renders it useless. This is my third headset bought from here. While it breaks easily, you can't beat the price compared to the alternative $20 headsets at walmart (which cuts out constantly and is awkward to use).

6 months later and I don't have any trouble with this. Sturdy, stylish, and holds a long charge. I appreciate the adjustable dpad too. This should be your main xbox controller.

This wire solved the problem I was having with an electrical hum coming over my car stereo when hooking things into the headphone jack...almost.

You can still, ever so quietly, still hear an electrical hum during quite parts of songs. Annoying, but I don't want to go through the hassle or returning it. If I knew this, I'd pick another product.

The idea of it is cool, but it's not what you think. It almost has nothing to do with the movie. There's no trivia, and the games are stupid easy. Hell, you don't even need to have ever have seen the movie to win, as opposed to other Scene It games where seeing the movie helps immensely.

Even though there's different random games, only 3 ever pop up "randomly", or so it seemed like. I dunno, maybe it was bad luck, though I suspect not. I played this twice and there's several games that never popped.

It's not really meant for more than a one time play through. It's meant for babies and monkeys. Not worth the money.
