2.0 out of 5 stars Very low quality. Feels very cheap., September 27, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
There are various levels of quality. This is near the bottom. It feels like the cheapest rayon/polyester type material you can imagine. The package says 60/40 cotton/poly. Maybe it is, but it really feels terrible. It is also very thin. And the edges are poorly finished. There were may hanging strings and it is not even double overed. The "oblong" is rectangle. It has a waffle pattern and the white is more cream or off-white than white. Half a step up from a plastic picnic tablecloth.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit on standard TP holders. Rough paper., September 25, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Roll is a huge 5.5" diameter and 2" from the inner edge of the inside cradboard roller to the exterior. Thus, they do NOT fit on any of the standard tp holders in my house - that measure about 1 5/8" from the edge of the roller to the wall. The paper itself is thick but feels like single ply. It is very rough. I would avoid this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great snorkel set with purge valves in mask and snorkel, September 25, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a great snorkel set. The mask is comfortable and has a nose purge valve. It doesn't have side panels for peripheral vision. The headband is very comfortable.

The snorkel has a cap to keep out water from waves and diving, and the cap doesn't interfere with the ability to purge when you get a little water in it. The connector between the snorkel and mask is easy to clip on.

They even include a nice mesh bag to hold it all together.

I like this set a lot and look forward to using it more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Uncontrollable and only really works on hard packed dirt., September 25, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Requires a 9v battery in the controller and three AA batteries in the vehicle. Not rechargable. There is an on/off on the vehicle, but not on the controller. The controller just has an easy slide cover to get to the battery. The vehicle has the battery case behind two philips screws, one of which is at the bottom of a very long tube - thus you can't use a 4 in one screwdriver (the shaft is too wide). Instead, you need a very thin long screwdriver that many people probably don't have in their toolbox. This is inexcusable.

Once you get the batteries in, you need to learn the controller. The left and right sticks go forward and back, each controlling one side of the tires. It is very different from any other RC controller I have ever used. To go forward push BOTH forward. To go back push BOTH back. To turn left or right you have to very carefully modulate one controller or the other. They are not variable - only on or off. It is much like driving a boat with twin screws, but no steering wheel and the throttle is always full open. Needless to say, it is very difficult to control direction.

Go anywhere? Maybe, as long as it isn't a smooth deck (the tires are very hard plastic and it skids all over the place) or grass (there is nearly zero undercarage clearance, so it just bellies out). Water? yeah right. It floats, but the tires just spin and act like a pinwheel spraying water all over the place.

Save your money. Get something else.

Does not have enough power - even with fresh batteries - to get up much of a dirt hill. The box says 3-7, but nobody really enjoyed using this. Not a good toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best. Leash. Ever. (for a small dog), September 24, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Best. Leash. Ever. This is a really fantastic leash for my 15 lb Shih Tzu. The retraction works perfectly smoothly everytime. You can push a button to stop it from going out and another button to lock it in place. The handle part is a bit small for those with (much) larger hands.

The snap buckle is small and light for small dogs (but not the ultra tiny version I have seen on some leashes).

We've been through several different types and lengths of leashes trying to find something that works well. This satisfies all of our needs. If it ever broke, I'd buy exactly the same thing to replace it.

Mio 56P-SPEC-LRG Link Electric Large/Medium Continuous Heart Rate Band
Mio 56P-SPEC-LRG Link Electric Large/Medium Continuous Heart Rate Band

3.0 out of 5 stars Band is great. App is terrible., September 17, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
There really are two parts of this product - the band and the app. The band is great. The app is terrible.

The band is a rechargeable (with its own proprietary charging base) and has a button and a led that changes color. It is comfortable and supposedly waterproof. Although, I am a little concerned about the part on the backside, because it seems like it is a completely exposed circuit board. The band is a bit like a rubber band with a very secure strap. My wrist is about 6.5" and the large fit me perfectly. There is a lot of adjustment. The band works via ANT+ or bluetooth. The best part is that it is compatible with anything that will accept an ANT+ or bluetooth HR signal. Thus, it works perfectly with Runkeeper.

The Mio Go app is terrible. It was very difficult to connect, requires you to connect your facebook account to set it up, and really offers virtually no functionality other than showing your HR on a tiny portion of the screen. It seems driven at getting you to buy other workouts and monthly programs. There is an inside mode and an outside mode, although the inside mode seemed to only show outside workouts. It was really a terrible app. I played with it for awhile and did a quick workout, but then deleted it. The band works great with other workout apps, including Runkeeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sprayed on weeds last night, dead this morning, September 16, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I mixed some up in my garden sprayer (you will need a garden sprayer) and sprayed some weeds growing out from cracks in a rock formation next to my house yesterday afternoon. I sprayed the leaves and the base of each weed. It started drizzling a bit about six hours after I sprayed. When I went to bed everything was still pretty green (as best I could tell with a flashlight). This morning, after a reasonably heavy overnight rain, the weeds were all dead. Totally limp and starting to turn grey.

I didn't see anything dead other than the spots I sprayed.

Seems to work great - even if it rains a few hours after application.

You need a sprayer to use this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best electric I have tried, but still not as a good as a manual, September 15, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
As far as electric razors go, this one is pretty much the best I have used. The three heads pivot very nicely to get all of the contours of our face, including around the chin. I have a fairly dense beard and I also shave my head.

This razor gave me a fairly close shave, but not as close as my trusty Gillette Fusion. It also took a lot longer and left me a bit raw - which is odd because I don't really have a sensitive face. I found it very difficult to get my moustache area with this and I am still left with a bit of roughness there.

The cleaning thing is a bit of a gimmick, if you ask me. It makes lots of noises (including some really mysterious noises in the middle of the night!) Best I can tell, it just squirts the cleaning solution over the blades and runs the razor periodically. I don't see much benefit over simply running it through the water while you are shaving.

This has a separate head for sideburns, which is a bit odd. I've used other razors that have a far more convenient flip up sideburn trimmer.

There is a hard case that allows for air circulation so the unit can dry out - only one problem - it doesn't fit the unit AND THE POWER CORD! Why make a travel case if you can't take the charging cord? Seems like a major oversight. The case would only have to be a tiny bit larger - barely notably larger - to fit the cord too.

Bottom line - if you really like an electric razor, this is probably the best one you will find. However, it is still not as good as my regular manual razor. My manual razor is faster, gives a closer shave, and gives me far less irritation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Long standing toy with educational and fun games - wifi is a huge benefit, September 14, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is an upgrade from the original LeapPad that my daughter has been using for 3+ years. This is certainly a long lasting toy.

Hardware

The LP3 improves the cameras significantly, and adds a front facing camera. The screen is the same very low quality screen found on the original. The stylus is better and has a better storage (in the unit rather than cliped to it). There is an internal (non-replacable) battery that gets recharged - which I like better than the endless string of rechargeable AA batteries we had been using. I guess it teaches my daughter to charge her stuff at night if she wants to use it. But it also means that there is no ability to just pop in some fresh AAs if we forgot to charge and have a long trip, etc. It now has wifi, which is a huge improvement (see below). The processor still seems very slow and there is a lot of tap, wait, wait, wait, something happens. It also has very little internal memory and there is no room for an SD card or anything, so you'll need to delete some photos/videos if your kid uses that a lot.

Software

There are some included games, but purchasing games is very expensive. This is no dollar app store. Plan on spending at least as much as the cost of the unit in games. The wifi alleviates that somewhat because there are a lot of videos available there. All are strictly kid filtered and appropriate. No worries of youtube content here. There are good educational games and my daughter actually seems to be learning some real math. They do a nice job of rewarding play with tokens of dubious value.

Conclusion

In our house, this has been my daughter's most used longstanding toy. She has used it regularly from the age of 3 until now (6.5). It is a good alternative to giving her an iphone/itouch/ipad. It is tough enough to hold up, age appropriate, content appropriate, somewhat educational, and keeps her entertained. They need to upgrade the processor so there is less lag when opening games or tapping the screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great handle. Heat proof. Dishwasher safe., September 13, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Fantastic and heat proof. Also good in the dishwasher. Nice comfortable handle. Blade is flexible enough to scrape the bowl but firm enough to still mix light dough.
