4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice watch...but a bit on the "gaudy" side., May 3, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Invicta Men's 19173 Aviator watch is as striking as it is bold. I didn't realize quite how thick and flashy it was until I received it. It is certanly a watch that will have folks asking to see it...whether or not they will admire it is another thing.

While this watch is unique with it's beautiful coral blue dial, bezel and push adjustment buttons, it seems to lack true functionality as an "Aviators watch". The inner sub-dial on the left side of the face does not seem to have any real function other than "looks". I could not find anywhere in the instuction book about what it does, or how to use it. When you push the oversized stop-watch buttons and let the timers run, nothing ever moves on this left side sub dial.

The inner "compass" does not seem to move either with change in direction. Again, it seems that this watch is designed for "looks" more than useful functionality.

The square shaped upper and lower sub dials are a nice touch, as opposed to the usual "round" dials. However, the more I looked at them, the more they appaeared to make the watch look more like a toy watch than an Aviator's watch. The gold toned wrist band is a very nice touch to offset the large, thick blue dial and bezel.

Overall, I like this watch and will wear it more for fun and general use, than for fashion or formal events. As a sports watch, this one has it's place as a potential "showpiece"..albeit, a "gimmicky" one with the square shaped sub dials and oversized push buttons.

It seems that for this price, one should not expect much more advanced time/date/navigation functionality..this watch is for show, and for that, it does a pretty good job.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible bulbs. Dont buy these. BOTH bulbs burned out within a month of each other., March 6, 2016

These bulbs are terrible. I bought this becuase it was packaged in a "two pack". The first bulb lasted only 3 weeks! The second bulb just blew out on me a few minutes ago...about 3 weeks after the first one. Read the other reviews...same issues.

Dont buy these bulbs. Cheap, poorly made. Find an alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, classy looking card table!, February 5, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very nice, attractive card table. It's easy to open and close the legs. It is pretty lighweight, but sturdy. The center vinyl cover is a bit flimsy, as it is attached underneath only by some small brackets. However, it is still sturdy. Just don't try to stand on it! LOL!

All in all, for the money a very nice addition to my home for when guests are over, play cards or just as an additional table for folks to eat on, serving food, etc. A bit more expensive than other card tables, but if you want a table that looks more classy, get this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great desk! Well designed, easy to assemble, attratcive and very sturdy!, February 5, 2016

This review is from: Multifunction Desk Mahogeny
I bought this desk as a replacement for my 15 year old son's old plastic warped desk. This desk is really nice! First, I was very please that it arrived a week before it was scheduled to arrive. It came in two boxes, making it easier to bring upstairs as each box was lighter than if was all packed in one box. All in all, it was about 100 pounds.

The instructions are well written/illustrated, concise and and pretty easy to understand. They do lack some detail in places, but fortunately if you just take your time and think through the illustrations, etc., you should have little problem assembling the desk. Everything, including the screws is very well labled and logical. The laminate imitation Mahogany wood covers up some of the holes pre-drilled in the desk. So just be a bit careful before you start to read the instructions all they way through first. Also, the instructions do tell you to look at the laminate and make sure you take the included Phillips screwdriver and carefully punch through the laminate indentations where there are holes for the screws, etc. I did not do that at first, and it cost me extra time figuring out where some holes lined up, as the holes were covered up by the laminate.

After I got the hang of it, everything else went smoothly. This is a well designed desk, and you'll find it to be very attractive and sturdy once you finish building it. The entire process took me about 4 hours, with a few breaks, so the assembly time is not too bad at all.

The laminate wood grain and color are very attractive and this desk makes a very nice, attratcive addiiton to my office and where my son does his homework, plays his X-box, etc.

All in all, I am very pleased with this desk. For the money, it is a very good deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent water drain-siphon and re-fill system! Works like a charm!, January 15, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a 20 gallon turtle aquarium/terarium and I got really tired of changing the water the "old" way using buckets and standard siphons, hauling the buckets back and forth, refilling in the bath tub, etc., and spilling water most of the time. I had been looking at the Python system for several months and finally decided to give it a try.

I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. I measured from my kitchen sink to the aquarium and bought the 50 foot unit. It is perfect length. Hooking up to my kitchen sink was fast and easy and draining was a breeze. The tubing is thick enough that it did not kink up on me. The flow was strong and it sucked up what at the time was a pretty dirty tank quickly and effectively. Refilling was just as easy with the pull of the main sink hookuip valve and the turn of the on/off valve. Again, water flow was good and filled my tank quickly. I simply added the dechlorinizer as I filled the tank. The connections were secure and did not leak.

I also noticed that the water is cleaner and clearer than ever before using the new Python vs the old method...which took much longer than using this, obviously, this Python until has stronger suction and gets more debris than using my old " bulb/tube siphon system.

Clean up was easy too. I just blew out what water remained in the tube and rolled it back up.

Using this saved me a lot of time and mess. I am very happy with this unit and would highly recommend it to anyone who keeps fish, turtles, etc. It is well worth the extra money. Very well made and well designed.

AeroCool MicroATX and Mini-ITX Dead Silence Series Case with Top Removable Dust Filter DS-Cube Red

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking case...unique horizontal motherborad design, but overall, not very build friendly., September 5, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Areocool Dead Silence case is a sleek looking chassis with a unique type of rubber coating on the outside, which, I assume is what potentially keeps this case "Silent". I got this for a transfer build for my teenage sone. I moved a system from one larger case to this one to save space.

For the most part, this case is what one might expect from a small form factor vertical case; the motherboard must be a mini or micro ATX, and fits horizontally in the case.

The front end wiring has no real routing to speak of, so be careful after you connect the front end wires that you dont try to lift the case from the top, or when you "snap" open the top becuase the top may well snap off in such a way as to pull your wires out of the sockets. This happened to me twice..meaning that I had to then go back and rewire the front panel, etc.

My main concerns about this case is the positioning and design of the PSU compartment. There are vertical panels that act as part of the HD slide in cage and as a brace from the upper Motherboard tray that make it difficult, if not almost impossible to fit any PSU over 6.3 inches (160mm) deep (mine is a Corsair 850) in the cage with cables. If you try and install the PSU with any cable already attached, good wont fit. There is not enough clearance between the PSU and the upright vertical panel on the right side of the compartment; as it also acts as the slide for your hard drives. What I had to do is literally install the PSU without any cables attached, then squeeze the cables in through the side oval hole(s) and connect them, which, by the way, can really hurt your fingers. It is a real pain, literally, and then, you need to route those cables through next to the PSU in order to keep them out of the way of the HD slide cage to allow for insertion of your HD's. The HD cage only supports only two HD,s which limits most any gamer or high end user needing more than two HD's. Also, if you are planning on using a liquid cooled unit for your CPU, make sure you remove the optical drive bay and it's 6 screws first, then good luck screwing it back in place..again, very limited space to work..and limited space between components. There is also no support for fan cooling at the bottom of the case. This, in my opinion is very poor design.

While the horizontal motherboard mounting design is a nice, unique feature, it simply makes for an off-beat overall internal component design that makes it more difficult than necessary to do a clean build.

You can unscrew several panels to modify, but some of the panels are screwed in from underneath the thick rubber bottom of the case, and I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to remove the rubber bottom to g et to the screws...way too much hassle for doing a build...

Also, don't push the on/off switch too hard on the top of the case or you'll knock off the little "push button" switch that connects it...and while it's not a huge deal to snap it back on under the button, it's still another hassle to deal with.

Unless you just have to have this particular case with it's various nice colors, etc, I would avoid buying it. go with a case like the Fractal Node 804 or similar's much better designed and build friendly.

2.0 out of 5 stars There are far cheaper, better ways to light your computer chassis, August 24, 2015
This LED strip could be a nice touch. However, it is a real pain to install properly..

The strip itself is well made...but very thick transparent rubber for waterprooofing. Unless you have a custom water cooling rig, the extra thick rubber coating is more of a hassle to work with than it is worth.

The double stick tapes on the back is NOT strong/sticky enough to support the weight of the strip in any given place...also, on the Enthoo Luxe case, there are plastc and metal rivets protruding through the front and side edges all the way around the case where you would normally want to position this strip..making positioning the strip and making it stick even more of a challenge...the strip needs a FLAT surface all the way around. The only viable option seems to be to mount the strip along the inside edge of the right side front panel adjacent to the hard drive cage(s)...then perhaps along the top...far enough in so you get a flat surface...but even then, there are several oblong holes running along that inner edge ..which would make sticking the strip once again...difficult.

Mounting this strip along the TOP edge(s) is virtually impossible, without using something like rubber cement to hold it on..I tried this, and that did not work either, due to the thickness of the strip and weight...gravity pulling the strip down.

Trying the BEND the strip at any angle but a straight 90 degrees is fruitless...don't even bother because it will just flip back out and restraighten itself due to, again, the thickness of the strip.

I positioned the included case LED add-on connector from the business end back through the top (I unscrewed the top metal panel on the case to get the wire connector to go through and across to the front drive cage that there would be less tension on the connection....and so that the connection would be "clean" and not stretched across the top of the ODC port. I got that conencted, but then, after trying to position the LED strip several times after it fell off, stuck back on, fell off again, etc., I.carefully, I may add, tried moving the strip once more to starighten it (as it was buckling), and suddenly, the end of the strip with the wire attached for the connector, pulled out from the wire leads to the LED strip..(this is not a three/four male-female "pin connector" it is just cheaply wired in, so the end of the wire pulled out and there went a $25 the garbage. An LED strip like this and of this price should have a much better made and stronger connection.

I took off one star becuase of the poor stick backing on this LED strip and the difficulty with installing and getting it to stay put;

I took off a second star becuase of the price compared to competitors; Even if you do have custom water cooling, I really don't think you need this super thick rubber LED for waterproofing can go with the standard thinner LED strips and they should work fine, and, the way they are positioned in the case would not put them in danger of geting fried anyway should there be a water cooling leak.

I took off a third star becuase the wire connection broke off so easily on the end of the LED strip, and there is no way to re-connect it..thereby turning the $25.00 + investment into rubber lining for the trash basket.

The overall effect of this strip is very nice and adds a wonderful slick touch to matching the color LED's setting on the factory installed outer light strips. However, if I were to do this again, I would purchase another LED light strip...such as Supernight, or any of the other manufactureres...they are far less expensive...give you far more range of colors and effects, and are significanly easier to they are much thinner..albeit, not waterproof, and easier to manipulate to place in the case. They also have double backed stick tape. The only drawback is that unless you figure out a way to connect these with an adapter to plug into the connector on the case, you'll be powering these separately and controlling them with the included remote control (which I think is pretty cool). However, it should not be too much of an issue to find a way to connect another manufacturere's LED strip to the connector on this case, or, simply modify it to work separately, yet complimetary to the included outer case lighting effect. You can easily program most of the remote controllers to match the colors of the case lights, etc., as they are also RGB.

I may try one more round with a 1 or 2 M Phanteks LED strip...but first, I am going with the alternative LED strip as I described above and see how that works. I can't see throwing another $25-$30 in the garbage if I can get the same (or even better) effects with a far less expensive, more practical application with a remote control for LED case lighting for under $10.00
