5.0 out of 5 stars Can't. Stop. Listening., April 13, 2016
I have a bit of TD music and this is my favorite album. Listened to it over and over and never get tired of it. A great one to start with if you haven't tried Tangerine Dream before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clean, Quiet - lots of cables., March 21, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
By clean I mean the semi-modular power outputs mean just the cables I need are used. Less stuff cluttering up the PC's innards is good!
And there's a lot of cables to choose from.

The fan isn't noisy at all.

I *think* the power output is very stable but I'm not sure I'm reading the monitor program correctly.
750 watts at a low price. Love it!

BTW, since my first computer in 1979, I've have more trouble due to power supplies (either the supply fails or it knocks out some other component) than any other PC part. I don't know why I haven't gone to top quality PSUs before - they only cost a bit more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Take *That* HP!, March 4, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like many other reviewers, I was befuddled by the tiny (Slimline SATA) power connector used by the *laptop* DVD drive in the HP Envy **desktop** PC (750-116).

This regular SATA to Slimline SATA adapter solves the problem HP caused!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! Everything fits now., March 4, 2016

Since right angled SATA data cables are so common, it's odd that the matching right angled power cables are hard to find. These work fine!

Now I can close the case on my PC since the straight power cables to the HDDs stuck out too far.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good value so long as you're willing to accept it completely as is., February 26, 2016
Lots of ram, big hard disk, fast CPU - all at a decent price. A good value... But

so many annoying things wrong with it.
The DVD burner is a 8x laptop model. Very slow and it's hard to put a disc in it. Worse, you can't replace it with regular DVD drive. The front bezel only has one tiny slot for the disc tray - far too narrow for a standard size tray. And the mounting hardware for the DVD drive will only work for a skinny laptop drive - despite the big case there's no space to put a regular DVD drive.

The hard disk cage is amazingly easy to work with - you don't even need screws. Just slide the drives into the cage and they lock into place. HOWEVER the connector edge of the drives are so close to the case that you must use right angle connectors or the cables will run against the case. If you don't add a 2nd HDD, not a problem. If you do there's an extra hassle and expense to get the non-standard data and power cables.

This computer has a GREAT BIG CASE. It should be easy to work with. But HP goes out of their way to make it hard with the non-standard DVD burner and putting the HDD cage so close to the case edge.

Comes with a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. The keyboard is horrible and I replaced it with a Monoprice mechanical keyboard as quickly as possible. I don't know about the mouse as I kept using the trackball from my previous computer.

6 2.0 USB ports and 4 3.0 USB ports. That's good. 2 each easily accessible on the top of the case, rest on the back. Top of case also has a handy plug for headset/microphone combo.

The interior of the PC is well laid out and the cables are tied up nice and neat.

The built in integrated graphics are the usual. If you want to play modern games you'll need a graphics card. The computer's power supply (only 300w) won't be able to handle good graphics cards. But that's the normal problem with office style desktop computers. So I won't lower the grade because of it. Anyway, you can get great big power supplies on Amazon for under $60 so it's an easy to fix issue. Of course, that power supply will come with SATA power cables for the HDD(s) that don't have right angle connectors so there's that additional hassle and expense again. AND, since the DVD drive is a laptop drive instead of the standard you would expect in a desktop, the DVD drive has a non-standard power connector so there's ANOTHER hassle and extra expense you'll have if you upgrade the power supply.

Put 8 or 9 well worn pencils in this. Got NEEDLE SHARP points on all them with 5-7 twists. Took a few more twists for a brand new pencil.

The body is plastic but that's some Strong Sharp German Steel on the inside!

What more could you want?

---------- update ----------
I've noticed other reviews saying tips are breaking off.
Don't push so hard! It will sharpen very well with just light pressure (and a firm twist)

People wonder if the shavings fall out if you keep this in a backpack. I put this in a plastic bag and shook it for 30 seconds. A SMALL amount of debris fell out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sharp looking, doesn't leak (much)., June 19, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
1st off, it's not copper. Unless they have some of that special magnetic copper. It's copper colored steel* and I'm fine with that.

*the top and the part with the feeder holes is steel. The base (below the feeder holes) is plastic. The nectar bottle is glass

This is the same basic design as the Perky-Pet 210PB BUT it doesn't leak (very much). The difference is that base of this model plastic, the 210b is metal and, it seems, the plastic deforms JUST enough to make a tight seal.

I've filled it 4 times, 3 times it leaked a little bit for about a minute, then stopped. So fill it up outside!

It's easy to clean, it looks good.

2.0 out of 5 stars It Leaks., November 22, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I would have give this a 4 star review except that the nectar slowly dripped out of the base (wicking through the joints in the base) 3 out of the 4 times I used it. that makes a mess on my porch. If you were to use this out in the garden (hanging from a tree) then that wouldn't be a problem. The leak is slow enough that you'd be refilling the container for cleanliness before it ran out.

But let's assume that I got a defective product. How is the feeder otherwise?

Pretty nice. My only complaint would be that it's too big unless you live in a humming bird boom zone like Arizona or New Mexico. In other parts of the USA you'll never use the 16 oz. capacity before it's time to clean it. Here in Los Angeles it's rare that I'll use up even 8 oz. of nectar in a week.

It's easy to clean. I like the glass bottle - it can withstand boiling water if you get a slime buildup.

Weighs 28 oz. if you hang it with 8 oz. of nectar.

Tomcat Spin Trap for Mice, 2-Pack (Mouse Trap)
Tomcat Spin Trap for Mice, 2-Pack (Mouse Trap)

3.0 out of 5 stars It *should* work., November 22, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The Tomcat Spin Trap is a clever design. Seems a bit more lethal than similar spinning traps - the spring is stronger (I think). It's easy to set. it's easy to put the peanut butter bait in place.

But it's not obvious that it is as effective or reliable as the classic snapping trap.

I discovered a mouse in the house. Set out many traps. Put this Tomcat trap nearby a conventional trap. Eventually found a dead mouse in the conventional trap - the Tomcat trap is still ignored.

I can't say that it *doesn't* work. Just that the the mouse was killed by the regular trap first.

If dead mice in regular traps creep you out, the Tomcat Spin Trap would be my first suggestion.
