2.0 out of 5 stars Note the Corn Syrup, December 16, 2014
Love the flavor of this and used to eat it quite regularly. However, if you look at the ingredients list, it includes corn syrup which nutritionists recommend avoiding. Seems like they could create a healthy cereal with oats and almonds without the corn syrup. Here's the full ingredients list:

3.0 out of 5 stars You May Need to Be Fluent to Appreciate This Film, December 16, 2014
A lot of the humor is based on language and turns of French phrase. Not much happens in this movie for much of it. A young aide to a French minister has to keep rewriting his speeches. The minister is ridiculous and so are most of the people around him, which is the point of the movie perhaps. It's a jab at French bureaucracy. If you are native French, or fluent, you might enjoy it more than I did. I'm afraid my French isn't good enough for this film, or I just didn't get the humor.

4.0 out of 5 stars A French Thriller, December 16, 2014
If you like suspenseful, French thrillers, this one is original. A French doctor is suspected of killing his wife, but it can't be proven. Several years later, when two bodies are found near where his wife's body was found, he immediately becomes suspect. To heighten the suspense, he thinks he has seen an image of his wife older and alive. He has to try to find out the truth before he is rearrested for crimes he didn't commit. This is based on a best-selling mystery by Harlan Corben - although in the novel the action is in the U.S., while in the film, the action is in Paris. If you want to improve your French, this should keep your interest.

4.0 out of 5 stars 1930's Mysteries, December 15, 2014
This is a quirky series based upon the mystery novels of Margery Allingham. Peter Davison plays the dapper character Campion with aplomb. The 1930's autos and set values of Campion's abode and the English manor houses are a primary attraction of the series. The plots are quite imaginative, if not entirely realistic. If you like English period mysteries without the blood and sensationalism of modern crime drama, you may want to sample this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Poignant, December 15, 2014
This review is from: Last Love (Amazon Instant Video)
If you are in the mood for a poignant film about an older widower who literally stumbles into the path of a Parisian dance teacher and how their lives are transformed by their friendship with Paris as a lovely backdrop, this film offers that. Michael Caine plays lonely grief hauntingly. Clemencine Poesy is a radiant young woman who exudes compassion. The film is in French and English. It is slow moving at times. It is an interesting study of relationships and life's stages and provokes thought.

Kashi Organic Promise Raisin Vineyard Cereal, 13.7 Ounce by Kashi
Kashi Organic Promise Raisin Vineyard Cereal, 13.7 Ounce by Kashi
Offered by SKYBOK
Price: $13.53

3.0 out of 5 stars Tasty But 12g of sugar in 3/4 Cup, December 14, 2014
A nutritionist recommended Kashi products to me. However, she recommended to eat breakfast cereals with sugar content under 7-8g in a serving. One serving, or 3/4 cup, of this cereal has 12g which is a tad on the high side. One serving is 170 calories, contains no fat, 2g of fiber and 4g of protein.

It has a cinnamon taste and is crunchy. Ingredients include: organic long grain rice, organic hard red wheat, organic raisins (organic raisins, organic sunflower oil), organic dried cane syrup, organic quinoa, organic brown rice syrup, sea salt, organic cinnamon. Contains Wheat Ingredients.

If you're okay with the sugar content, and like the taste of cinnamon, this might be a 4-5 star cereal for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars White Cheddar Flavor in a Popcorn Chip, December 14, 2014
If you like popcorn and you like chips, these are a great marriage of the two with the added flavor of white cheddar cheese. They have a kind of quilted bubbly texture and they are air-popped and not greasy. The chips are gluten free, and have no saturated fat or trans fat. One ounce is 130 calories and they are low in salt (5% of DV) and sugar (1g).

INGREDIENTS: Enriched Yellow Corn (Yellow Corn, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Cheddar Cheese Flavor (Whey, reduced lactose whey, maltodextrin, Cheddar and Blue Cheeses (cultured milk, salt, and enzymes), canola oil, salt, disodium phosphate, citric acid, lactic acid).

Perfect for a substitute for potato chips as they are lower in fat, and have a crunchy texture. They would be great to serve at a party. They come in different flavors including sea salt, jalapeno and kettle which has a sweet-salty combination flavor. These popcorner chips should satisfy for an evening snack or to have with a sandwich or salad.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Delight!, December 14, 2014
Charmed, simply charmed, by this adaptation of a Daphne DuMaurier novel. It is 1952, and when a young English schoolteacher John Standing (Matthew Rhys) meets his aristocratic doppelganger, or lookalike, John Spence (Matthew Rhys again), in a pub one evening, the sly and scheming aristocrat gets him drunk, steals his clothes and identity.

When the aristocrat's chauffeur comes to pick John up at the hotel the next morning, our kindly and befuddled schoolteacher discovers his clothes and wallet missing. John travels to the aristocrat's large English manor and assumes his identity. Now the fun begins. He soon discovers that his doppelganger is particularly loathsome and hated by some of his family members. John tries to repair many of the evils his doppelganger has instigated.

How he interacts with his new family, and how they react to him is one of the chief delights of this film. And there are many delights. Matthew Rhys plays the fast-talking entitled aristocrat to the hilt as well as the charming, unassuming but wise teacher.
Will his evil doppelganger return? And what happens if he does?

Ms. DuMaurier would be pleased with this adaptation of her story as it has a lively mix of humor, mystery, and love story. It quite easily could be overplayed, but it is not. All of the actors seem suited for their roles from the discreet butler to the observant maid. You start to care about the characters, and hope it ends well for all of them, except for the conniving John Spence. Anglophiles and DuMaurier fans should enjoy this delightful film.

V8 Fusion Light Peach Mango Beverage, 46 oz
V8 Fusion Light Peach Mango Beverage, 46 oz
Offered by Books And So Much More
Price: $6.99

2.0 out of 5 stars Added Sucralose, December 13, 2014
A family member brought this home. We usually get the regular peach mango. Figured they just added more filtered water to the regular peach mango to create a lighter version. While the taste is good of this light mango peach fusion drink, there is added sucralose to keep the calorie count down. Artificial sweeteners are suspect.

Healthier to get the regular V8 Fusion Peach Mango - which is delicious - and just add seltzer to it. I like to drink a cup of seltzer and add 1/4 cup of the Fusion Peach Mango juice to it with ice cubes as a delicious, healthy substitute for soda or soft drinks. So, would just get the regular without the added sucralose and put a little seltzer in it.
