Whether you are an average dog lover or engaged in S&R, detection, law enforcement or considering a career or participation in these fields, this book makes fascinating reading and has loads of useful information. A must if you are about to embark on training a dog for nose work, in particular HR detection.

Car Rear Full Seat Hammock Cover 63"L x 57"W Black Custom slits for seat belt

5.0 out of 5 stars Buying number 2, November 28, 2014
I bought one about 2 years ago and found it worked really well in my little Suzuki SX4 mini SUV. My wilderness-crazy Weimeraner goes everywhere with me every day and loves to swim. Initially it was fully waterproof and quite rigid but after numerous washes it is very soft and comfy for her but I added a crate pad and towel for more upholstery protection. I really like the zipper arrangement as I use the seat belt and a safety harness for a degree of control and safety for her. The grommets at the back do fall out but it makes no difference. The fabric is strong enough on its own. Mine did not come with bungees so I bought three with metal hooks that tension well to cargo net points in the trunk, with the fabric passing under the trunk lid for ample seat protection (headrests in recessed position). I also love the headrest covers in the front - makes removal and adjustments super easy plus the additional protection from general drool and dog muck is a bonus. Finally after 2 years of heavy, muddy use, frequent washes and general hard knocks, it's time to retire the old one and get another.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks great. Pretty accurate, September 21, 2012

The attractive transparent design works in any bathroom decor since the floor show through. It is fairly accurate... mine is a couple of pounds lower than a balance scale but readings are consistent.

Portable Stainless Steel Table Top Ethanol Fuel Fireplace

2.0 out of 5 stars Flame looks nothing like the pic., May 28, 2011
I wouldn't really classify this as a fireplace. It's more of a small blue flame effect.
Pros:
Very small size works on dinner tables or such.
Contemporary stainless steel finish looks good.
Cons:
The flame barely clears the top of the opening. In fact it is just a thin blue line. In order to get the flame in the pic so high they must have put a fan on it. Now you could do that, or use it outdoors in a breeze, but then the fuel only lasts for one hour.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well made, but no snuffers and why sets of 3, May 28, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are robust and come with extra wicks.
Pros:
Look good
Just the right size to perch on top of fence or deck posts. (Fasten - eg. staple - the holders down for safety.)
Cons:
Why sets of 3? Annoying if you need any number not divisible by 3.
No snuffers! If you use a candle snuffer on a tiki style lamp it gets messed up with oily soot. Without a snuffer/ wick cover, storage becomes a problem because the wick drops oily black globs all over the place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty masks, nice fabrics, February 19, 2010

We used these for decor items on an event. The points are made of a pretty shot brocade (purple / green) and they are reasonably well constructed. Good value for money. They look nicer than the product image shown.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great entry level and travel tablet, December 29, 2007
IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME BUYER of tablets and you are not sure if sketching on a tablet is right for you then this is a good test option. Functionality is excellent for the price. When I bought my first tablet (a 9x12 Intuos) I made the mistake of buying a large tablet - because I was used to sketching large. However I soon found that finger movements are better than arm movements when working on a tablet and had to reset the working area to 1/4 of the tablet. Newbies to tablets might find it difficult to control lines - smaller is easier. (My second tablet was 4x6 Intuos - I only ever used the function buttons on the left anyway.)

Of course it is less sensitive than higher grade tablets but 512 levels is adequate for quick sketches and Photoshop users who want more accuracy than a mouse can offer. It is somewhat jittery compared to higher end tablets - there are some lags - but lines are accurate. The pen is comfortable in the hand and buttons feel the same as their more expensive counterparts.

Oh - and if you love working on a tablet but want to upgrade - go to Intuos unless you absolutely must have wireless. The Graphires feel just like the Bamboo - jittery - and in my view are very over-priced.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thourough, easy to navigate but no masculine/feminine indications for nouns, December 22, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the (English to Hebrew) dictionary I use most (out of three) because it has excellent elaboration of nuances and idiomatic use of common words. There are many examples of these words in action with their Hebrew equivalent.

All that is lacking (in my view) is an indication as to whether a noun is masculine or feminine. I can appreciate that conjugations and constructs are beyond the scope of a dictionary of this particular size, but it would be useful to have the gender of simple nouns.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find your way around, however this is an essential book, December 16, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The second edition of this book could really use some additional indexing.

This book is not a dictionary per se - it does not purport to be one - so usually the process begins by finding a Hebrew verb in a separate dictionary. The three dictionaries that I use present you with with the INFINITIVE of the verb, or FIRST PERSON MASCULINE, none gives you the ROOT. Unfortunately, there is no index in this book of infinitive or first person masculine forms of verbs. Indexing is by the ROOT only in Hebrew.

In the English index, the sequence is very confusing. The page sequence is from right to left in accordance with Hebrew script, but the columns on each page run from left to right.

As a result it is difficult to identify the verb you want to research. Usually it requires back-tracking to the closest English word, and then scouring through the conjugation pages of possible candidates for the infinitive or first person form of the verb.

However, once you actually identify the verb, the information is exceptional. All tenses and constructs are included. I would say that despite its shortcomings, this book is essential to students of Hebrew.
