5.0 out of 5 stars A Delight!, June 4, 2012
I love a terrific fantasy novel that reminds me of all the ancient myths that have abounded in our past. Steve Finegan has managed to bring forth a remarkable tale of adventure, mythology, and fantasy fiction that rivals some of those old favorite novels that were so popular ages ago.
Gabe, the hero, is a young boy with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. His family moves to a new city (never a favorite with any child). Bullied, berated for his difference by his new schoolmates, Gabe manages to make friends with the girl next door, Ellie. Both are adventurous souls that begin to explore the woods behind his property, where it is rumored that a witch once lived.
In the midst of an epileptic seizure, Gabe is transported to a realm where mythical creatures abound and he's placed in the role as hero!
This is a compelling tale that proves that a hero can come in any size and shape, and can battle all odds to overcome his insecurities and differences. I thoroughly enjoyed the fantasy world created by the author and the determination Gabe had in battling the odds presented to him!
Excellent read, and I can't wait for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sinfully wicked!, April 28, 2012
Lucy has written a collection of three delectable short stories that focus on female exploits that occur beneath the covers. Each story is a glimpse into the lives of the lovely women gracing the pages of WHILE THE BOYS ARE AWAY, and the rousing trouble they devise.
Steamy, hotter than imaginable, each of the stories is tastefully written and delightfully delicious. A truly scintillating read, Lucy has managed to create a scrumptious look into lesbian erotica that should grace every freethinking woman's bedside.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully vivid tale of mystery and romance, March 13, 2012
There's a link between some people that borders on the unbelievable, where every ounce of pain and every emotion can be felt and experienced by another, even though many miles might separate them.

In Roseanne Dowell's Connections of the Mind, Rebecca Brennan's life is disrupted by strange and realistic dreams. Her friend, Allison, forces her to see a parapsychologist, convinced that Rebecca is delving into the realm of psychic phenomenon, where she's forced to recount the dreams she experiences. The dreams are what held my attention, precise down to the point where she knew she could recognize the location of her nightly visions if she were to see them in person...

Rebecca knows she has to find what (or who!) is haunting her dreams, calling out to her, and she takes a two week vacation to discover the truth.

Connections of the Mind is one of those wonderful tales that brings the reader back into a realm where, even with the touch of paranormal, there is that warm fuzzy feeling that wraps around your heart. Ms Dowell writes a wonderfully vivid story that pulls the reader into Rebecca's world, and draws them on the hunt for the person that leads them through a beautifully described town and local population that leaps from the pages with amazing life.
I loved every word written, and recommend this story to anyone looking for a romance novel that leaves the reader feeling completely satisfied by the turn of events.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sultry, sexy, and oh-so-wild!, March 13, 2012
This review is from: Making It Real (Kindle Edition)
Victoria Blisse...what can I say about this author that devoted fans and readers alike haven't thought at one time or another? My take on the wonderfully erotic and sexually thrilling novels that flow from her hand...there's enough steam to set my computer on fire!
Making it Real is the latest wonder that has crossed my desk and I have to say I was not disappointed. After reading Scentsual, I wondered whether Ms. Blisse could pen another novel as wonderfully explicit and tantalizing as that particular one, and she managed to top it with a tale that begins with an amazing online journey into love and lust.
Told in first person, Making it real delves into the world of cyber-sex, and the persona that people develop in a clandestine world where everything goes. The physical world heats up in a way one could only imagine when two extremely delicious people decide to forgo the computer and meet in person.
Ms. Blisse's writing allows the reader to slip into the life of the main character (Mary), and experience everything she feels and does in an exacting way.
Sultry, sexy, and oh-so-wild, the characters of William and Mary are deliciously wicked and make the reader crave even more from this fantastic author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A moving journey into the life of my favorite Cohort, February 27, 2012
This review is from: Iniquities (Paperback)
Of all the characters that glorious fill the pages of April Alisa Marquette's Cohort Trilogy, Beau DeVeaux has always been my favorite. Granted, he's the only male amongst a bevy of women, but he has something to him that makes his very friendship and presence so valuable and endearing that I could help love him from the start.

Beau is one of those believable human beings that has suffered through the trials and tribulations of a life that started out terribly from the onset. Unloved by his drug addicted mother, molested by a member of society that people trust with their children, Beau is on a downward spiral of loneliness and an inward pain that rips at his soul.

When Beau's world is surrounded by the stigma of foster homes, an aunt searches for him and brings him into a world that is filled with an emotion he's never experienced...unconditional love.

Ms. Marquette's Iniquities is a beautiful journey into Beau's life. I adored how he reflected back on moments in his life, and the situations that molded and changed him. He's the dearest of friends that holds the people in his life close to his heart and, as each of those people leave, they take a piece of his precious heart with them, but they are never forgotten.

Above all, he just has so much love to give...

Moving and pulling at the heartstrings, just as the other novels in this trilogy did, the reader journeys through Beau's life from a front seat. As a fan of Ms. Marquette and Beau, I found Iniquities to be a stunning novel that truly spotlights Ms. Marquette's skill, and filled with a superb Happy Ending for the most magical of the Cohorts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Delicious from all aspects, February 20, 2012
This review is from: Uniform Behaviour (Kindle Edition)
Men in Uniform....
Do you remember that point in your life when a man in uniform turned your head? A man in uniform has always made a woman smile, from cheeky little grins filled with absolute admiration to...well, all you have to do is watch From Here to Eternity to understand what I mean.
I'd have to say my first attraction to a man in uniform was Officer Francis ("Frank") "Ponch" Poncherello of CHIPS back in the late 1970s. Just watching him leave the police station and get on is bike made me want to move to California!
Anyways, Uniform Behavior delivers that same feeling of absolute adoration for the gents that wear their work clothes with pride and dedication.
Because of the cover, I was expecting an anthology centered on men in the military, but Uniform Behaviour was far different!
Uniform Behaviour was a delightful series of 16 short and VERY scorching stories that centered on men and women serving the public, from waiters, priests, cooks, security guard, and even the seriously dedicated Queen's guard.
The 16 stories that comprise this wonderful erotica novel run from blazing hot reads that will make the blush, to delightfully sizzling tales that will curl your toes.
A delicious read that will make you burn the candles late at night--worthy of 5 raging stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly unpredictable!, February 14, 2012
This review is from: Re-Scue (Kindle Edition)
Laura Tolomei has this ability to grab a reader from page one, and Re-Scue was one such book that accomplished just that from the onset.

The heroine, Didri, is tired of her perfect life. She feels everything she does lacks excitement. She feels she's fallen into a ho-hum existence, where nothing new ever happens to her, and everything is meaningless. She's tried everything to spice up her world, and has failed miserably. Even the boyfriends have become miserably predictable. In other words, her life is excruciatingly BORING.

All until Tylean arrives...

Re-Scue was a rollercoaster ride into a world that is breathtaking, unpredictable, and never quite what it seems! Ms. Tolomei writes a passionate tale that catches the reader first assumes is going to be a passé romance centered on a woman's ennui, then turns everything upside down with a passionate flair that causes one to gasp! Brilliant, erotic, choatic, and filled with passion, Re-Scue is an unpredictable ride into lust and adventure!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Delight for the senses, February 7, 2012
This review is from: Scentsual (Kindle Edition)
Relying on the senses, Scentsual pulls the reader into a first person tale that steams up a Kindle screen faster than I ever imagined. From the moment our leading lady leaves the train, the reader is subjected to the haunting and lingering aromas of a world.

Not a shy and retiring lass, Kelly is fiery, and she definitely knows what she wants out of life! She won't take no for an answer, and Rob is the one she wants.

Compliant, submissive, and virginal, Rob falls readily into Kelly's hands! She loves to be dominant, and the sex scenes that Victoria uses made me blush! This is not a tale for one looking for the atypical romance, where the man takes the lead and the heroine is submissive. Kelly has a power to her, and a sexual imagination, that will make your toes curl with delight!

Breathtaking, a wild ride on the senses, so exactly detailed the reader can `smell' the essence of the story in an almost magical way, Scentsual fills the pages with a heat that will warm the soul on a cold winter night.

Notes from an Alien: A Message for Earth
Notes from an Alien: A Message for Earth
by Alexander M Zoltai
Edition: Paperback
Price: $11.40
20 used & new from $9.62

4.0 out of 5 stars A vivid journey into another realm, January 30, 2012
Zoltai's Notes from an Alien is a thought-provoking trip into alien worlds that makes the reader shudder with the close similarities that are often reflected on our own planet. The inhabitants of Zoltai's worlds are bent on destruction of other worlds, over such things as greed, religion, and politics. Worlds are being lost, and civilizations are declining, all because one civilization assumes they are better than the other.

This tale is an interesting and provocative leap into the realm of Sci-Fi. Using ties that reflect back on much of our own world history, the story is told by the view of a descendant of the first expedition to a new world. History unfolds rapidly, and the search for everlasting peace in the galaxy is profoundly written. The characters are finely crafted and the story unfolds with magnificent clarity, worthy of a movie. These characters, as they live and die, as they walk through time, leave a palpable change in their world.

Notes from an Alien is a must read for fans of the Sci-Fi genre. In-depth, detailed, narrated by the fabulous Sena, the reader struggles along with each character, slipping into a world that mirrors our own. Well crafted and, if Sci-Fi novels are among the genres you like to read, definitely add this to your own TBR list.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sci-Fi drama that leaps from the pages!, January 17, 2012
Suspense, drama, a future filled with aliens, and unstoppable action leaps from the pages of this sci-fi thriller!
George L. Lopez's A Distant Battlefield is a well thought out read with believable characters that leap from the pages with undeniable life, sucking the reader into a realm where aliens and humans abound. New York City has more than a few new immigrants on its shoreline--and our world has become the stomping ground for the worst. Trust, endurance, and intense soul searching bursts from the pages of this novel with more vibrancy than any sci-fi, futuristic, alien film I've ever seen on TV!
5 explosive stars!
