3.0 out of 5 stars PowerConnect Might Not Work On Older BMW's, January 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The FM Powerconnect did not work on my 2002 325I BMW. The connector into my cigarette lighter came up empty. No power. Even though the cigarette lighter works. If you have an older model BMW, you might come up empty. Had to return the whole thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars His Second Album, June 5, 2007
This review is from: 2 (Audio CD)
Anderson followed up his debut with an equally strong album. By this time the formula for future Anderson albums was in place: strong honky-tonk originals, a love song or two, a novelty song and just plain hardcore country. Two songs from this album went Top 10 Country ("Chicken Truck" and "I'm Just An Old Chunk Of Coal"). There are no liner notes here, but the sound is excellent. Anderson was one of a select few who brought traditional Country back to the charts. If you're a fan of real Country than this makes an excellent purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars His First Album, June 4, 2007
This review is from: John Anderson (Audio CD)
In January 2006, John Anderson's 4th Warner Brother Album, Wild & Blue, was issued on CD for the first Time. A year later his first album has finally been reissued. Six songs from this CD went Country Top 40 and for a debut, Anderson has already set the blueprint for the (then) return of traditional Country Music. Like George Strait, Randy Travis and Rick Skaggs, Anderson played a pivotal role in the retrn of Pure Country to the charts. There are no liner notes here, but the sound is excellent, and if you're a fan of hard-core Country this will be an excellent addition to your library.

2.0 out of 5 stars Re-Recording Alert!!, April 29, 2007
This review is from: Definitive Collection (Audio CD)
From the TV ad by Razor & Tie and Sedaka's own appearance plugging this CD on QVC, to the packaging itself, there are no indications that the RCA stuff are re-recordings. I should give the thing 1 star for deception alone. But the Rocket songs are the original's. What a missed opportunity this CD is. It could've been the first U.S. CD that combined Sedaka's RCA and Rocket hits. As it stands, this is only for Sedaka die-hard's.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Original 1982 Album, February 4, 2006
This review is from: Wild & Blue (Audio CD)
These aren't rerecordings. It's the original 1982 Warner album, remastered with liner notes. This was Anderson's biggest Warner album, (Seminole Wind was his biggest on RCA). The sticker says this will be available for a limited time only, which is bad news for Anderson fans who want his entire Warner catalog reissued. So, snap this up before it's gone. And hope another Record Company reissues Anderson's Warner catalog (and his RCA one too).

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost...., July 19, 2005
This is almost a definitive look at Jackson's career both with the J5 and solo. There's still a 5 star 1 disc compilation in Jackson's future. But as of 2005 there are none on the market. But the 2 disc's here (compiled chronologically) move along nicely. You get the Jacksons' biggest hits and Michael's early Motown solo hits. So, why isn't this a 5 star package? For one there's no "Dancing Machine", which is a cruel trick played by Epic/Legacy to make you buy one of the numerous J5 compilations with that song on it (or just download it). The liner notes consist of a few paragraphs that aren't worth anyone's time. And they included "Dangerous" a decent album cut that's not essential. Better choice would be "Working Day And Night". All told not a bad CD to have by Jackson if it's only a Greatest Hits CD you need.

Another missed opportunity to combine his Warner and BNA sides. These are all re-recordings.

3.0 out of 5 stars Make you wonder..., November 11, 2004
This review is from: Number Ones (Audio CD)
Why they didn't include "To Love Somebody", even though it never went to #1. The reason I state this is because 4 songs here: "Words", "World", "Don't Forget To Remember" and "I Started A Joke" never went to #1 in the US or UK. But then the compilers never tell us what chart methology they're using. Maybe they're including Germany or France or Australia. Who knows? There are no liner notes here, and the packaging has a rush job feel to it. The 5 song DVD is good. As a one CD summation of the Bee Gees' career, this is okay. But you're better off sticking with For The Record, which costs a couple dollars more, but is more thorough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Marred by 2 live cuts, August 18, 2004
This should've been a slam dunk, but the compilers decided to stick on 2 live cuts of Queen classics, "Under Pressure"(live 1982 WITHOUT David Bowie), and a 1982 live "Tie Your Mother Down". So my suggestion: download those and eliminate the 2 live ones, and you'll have the ultimate single Queen hits CD. But shouldn't the compilers have done that instead? Sneaky record company Greatest Hits CD tricks. Song by song info are the only liner notes. A good starter for those interested in Queen. But take my advice on the 2 live ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Live version of "Joy and Pain", August 18, 2004
You won't see it listed on the back of the album or on Amazon's track listing, but the version of "Joy and Pain" here is a live one taken from "Live From New Orleans". Outside of that the rest of this CD is the first Maze compilation to cover both the Capitol and Warner Brother years. Liner notes tell the story and the compilers use single edits to get as many songs on to 1 CD. A good start for those interested in the sound of Maze.
