5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended reunion romance, October 5, 2014

Kelly must return to the place of her youth to care for her grandfather's ranch and to arrange assistance for him after he suffers a debilitating injury and stroke. One deal away from establishing her career with a high-end boot company, Kelly must settle things quickly and finds herself relying on the ranch manager next door for help. Unfortunately, he happens to be the one who broke her heart as a teenager. Hank has problems of his own. In addition to being a ranch manager, he's also a father trying to establish a relationship with his preteen daughter from a previous marriage. He finds unexpected help from Kelly who understands all to well that the girl needs to be shown she is loved.

His Favorite Cowgirl is a great story on many levels, exploring the complexities of family, forgiveness, and fresh starts. Duncan is excellent writer with a gift for the turn of phrase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful read for Harlequin American fans, February 2, 2014

Another delightful read for Harlequin American fans. After his minor league pitching career comes to an end thanks to injuries, Travis Oak now teaches Phys Ed while waiting for the call to return to the game as a coach. He volunteers to draft a troubled child who lost his father thef year before onto his little league team to keep him from being expelled. Courtney, the boys mother is anything but pleased but relents knowing she is out of options. The young, attractive mother is anything but greatful for Travis's help. The son, however, is a natural although he's not played the game before. Unbeknownst to Travis, the child's father was a superstar in the majors while being a bust as a husband and father. Can he overcome Courtney's baseball bias to give her and her little family a second chance?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Christian Wedding Dress Version of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, March 29, 2012
This review is from: The Wedding Dress (Paperback)
I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the book. Hauck doesn't disappoint. The story centers around a wedding dress and the women who were meant to wear it. The story is primarily told through Charlotte, the present day protagonist, and Emily, the bride in the early 1900s. You follow both women through their relationship struggles. Charlotte's fiance wants to postpone their wedding. Emily's beau who left her to play professional ball (in the early years of the game) returns just as the son of a prominent Birmingham businessman proposes. The book is full of imagery of Christ but done so artfully as to not be preachy.

You won't want to miss it but start it on a weekend. If not, you'll be up late finishing it like I was.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful book beautifully done!, January 21, 2012

Love Lifted Me is a great book about starting over, healing past hurts, and rebuilding broken trust. It's an awesome picture of faith working through difficult circumstances. No sooner does Max return home from rehab and he and Jade start to rebuild her relationship, he gets an offer to coach a failing football program with former glory. Sure that God has led them to there, they start to question when they find out things aren't what they seem. I love that it is a picture of Christian faith working through very real problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Ready for Blast Off!, December 1, 2011

I'm a big fan of anything space -- Apollo 13, The Right Stuff -- and Space in His Heart combines it with another of my favorites...romance. Deke doesn't disappoint as a hero, all alpha all the way. When the former jet jockey turned rocket man is grounded to work with Jess, a PR maven, sparks start to fly. If you love snappy dialog, you'll love this book. But when a threat to the shuttle program occurs, they have to work together to save the day. Space, romance, and suspense. What's not to love?

5.0 out of 5 stars A great catch for readers, June 7, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Widowed mom Jess Cofer thinks she has Dan Hamilton's number. By all appearances he seems just like the wealthy clients of her fishing shop, On the Fly, who talked her husband into reckless stunts that ended his life. To add insult to injury, he's also a part of a group of doctor's who want to develop land she's worked tirelessly to set aside as a preserve to honor her husband. But when forced to give him fishing lessons to help her business's bottom line, she realizes she might be wrong about him after all when he not only puts up with her putting him in the kid's fishing class but seems to know exactly what her son needs.

Dan Hamilton had a rough start to life. Abandoned by his father, he came through the foster care system to become a leading thoracic surgeon who is determined to help children in similar conditions. When he gets a chance to join a group of surgeons in a plan sure to double his investment, he sees a way to earn what he needs to build the center for kids he wants. Unfortunately, the property they'll develop is the very same that Jess has worked so hard to save.

Daddy Catch is a great story well written. The author pulls you into coastal Florida and a heart warming tale. The hero's relationship with the heroine's son makes it a perfect fit for the Fatherhood line. You'll want to be sure to pack this summer read with you for vacation. It's a keeper!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miss B and the L a diamond of the first water!, March 12, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Miss B and the L is a delightful read that is over far too soon! Trying to prove her father's invention was stollen, Pandora becomes involved with Captain Hatch who's the first man to see the beauty and brains behind those grey eyes and to appreciate them. Walk the dog before reading this. She won't appreciate the wait once you start because you'll not put it down until you've finished.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hero to Run to...., April 6, 2008
I love Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catchers. They are all sexy heroes. With his Australian accent and devilish soul patch, Adrien Fletcher in FIRST YOU RUN is at the top of the list. He agrees to help a "mate" find a woman who was adopted from a black market ring which takes him right to Miranda Lang. A sizzling and suspenseful story you won't want to miss but start in on a Friday so you won't be sleep deprived on Monday. I can't wait for THEN YOU HIDE! (a June '08 release according to Amazon)

5.0 out of 5 stars A can't put down read - seriously!, August 17, 2007
This review is from: Die for Me (Mass Market Paperback)
Clear your calendar and stock up on food. Once you start reading Die for Me, you won't want to stop. (I missed church and was late for work!) This is the author's best work yet and I really enjoyed her other books. Timely subject matter and superb storytelling make this a must read. As each storyline picks up you soon see they are all on a collision course and you must continue to read to see who is still standing at the end.
