5.0 out of 5 stars Revisit Old Friends!, July 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you liked Yellowstone Heart Song and Yellowstone Redemption, you are going to love Yellowstone Promise. You will revisit with old friends, Aimee, Daniel, Chase and Sarah. Among some others you might know. I think this is one of Peggy Henderson's best writing. The story brings out emotions in you, takes you to places that are filled with detail and makes you feel like you are right there living it with them.

The adventure and surprises are just as strong as the first book if not more exciting. This will make you laugh cry and hold your breath and pull at your heart.

The only con to this book is that it is a novella, but it has as much interest and fulfillment as a regular size book. You will get lost and caught up in the story and love it as you do all of this author's books.

A must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Teton Escape!, May 13, 2014
This is a wonderful fun story full of adventure and suspense and of course a growing romance that has its bumps or should I say mountains to overcome.
Lucas is a handsome rugged man that has lived in the mountains all of his life. He surely doesn't want to get entangled with a woman.
Tori has been living in the harsh mountains with her father for the past four years, learning how to survive and stay safe from everything wild and also from her past.
Lucas will drive you crazy with his talking and his ways. He has a lot to learn when it comes to a woman, especially a strong, stubborn, independent, beautiful woman in buckskins.
You will love Tori, and envy her in her living so free in the Teton mountains. She will try and sound tough on the outside, but she is all women and heart on the inside.
When they are both together, nothing ever seems to go right. Sparks fly, arrows fly, and so do emotions that either one of them understand.
The story is full of suspense and I was holding my breath in the last half. Lots of surprises that won't let you put this book down. I didn't want it to end.
I highly recommend this story that will take you away into an adventure of love that you can only dream about.

I really enjoyed this story. It kept me turning the pages and never was slow. It had time travel, mystery, suspense and a building romance that had excitement and thrills in it.
Cons: Mom's attitude was to casual, but I loved her character. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Western Romance Anthology, March 15, 2014
Fifteen stories from fifteen authors. Everything from western historical to western comedy, but all with lots of sparking romance. Doesn't get any better then that.
Having such a variety of stories to read, you get to see the fifteen different styles of writing. From the Much Ado about Misfires by Jacquie Rogers and Bluffing the Marshall, by Paty Jager, who both made you laugh, to western romance about a young city lawyer, who traveled into the wilderness to find the woman he loved, in Yellowstone Proposal, by Peggy Henderson. Don't miss When Love Arrives by Carol Spalding either.
There are so many more great stories. This book has something for everyone. If you like western and romance, then there is something here for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Beautiful Botanist and the Duke, March 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Drake, Duke of Manchester, had to take over his duties sooner then what he had planned. He decided to look for a wife this Season to fulfill the duties as Duchess. He wasn't interested in love. This gave his character a cold hearted feeling at first. The responsibilities of being Duke so early and trying to see that his unmarried sisters found husbands this Season were making him forget how to relax and have fun and love.
Penelope Clayton, a woman Botanist, not acceptable officially in that time, was sent by her aunt to attend the Season balls and find a husband. Penelope, just wanted to stay in the country and dig in the dirt and find new plants. She did not want a husband or love either. She seemed to get very nervous and clumsy around high society and especially when around Drake.
Every time the Duke and Penelope were around each other things would happen that neither of them understood. Was the Drake trying to protect Penelope or was it a deeper feeling, he didn't want to have that was making him think of her all of the time.
Would feelings they both didn't want end up throwing them together or would they separate them for good.
I really enjoyed this second book in this series. I could feel Penelope's insecurity with being in high fashion formal society and her just wanting to be back in the country in her own comfort zone working outside with her plants. The story held my attention and made me laugh and I couldn't put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Life Romance, January 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was the best of the bride series for me. The story was down to earth and reflected real life events. The relationship between Karen and Mike was so filled with a friendship you could believe and feel. The growing attraction for his brother Jach, was also felt strongly. I liked how the characters were real hard working folks and it wasn't all about the rich, but about everyday people and their emotions and lives. The events that happened were so real and the surprises that followed were unsuspected yet so true to life.
This book took you into it and made all the events believable. Great story and romance!

5.0 out of 5 stars Life's Second Chance At Love, December 2, 2013
This is the 2nd book in the Second Chance TT series. Delaney ( Laney )Goodman has had a rough time growing up in foster homes and being abused by them. She was looking for love from all the wrong people. Laney was about to hit rock bottom when this strange man asked her what she wanted in life and if she would take some chances to get it? Laney loved working with horses and that is what she wanted along with the right man that would love her. When she told this strange man this he told her she just might be able to get what she wanted.
Tyler Monroe was a kind hard working man that had a successful horse breeding ranch that his dad had left him along with some hard haunting memories of his mother that kept him away from looking for a wife for himself.
Laney was like no other woman of that time, she acted, dressed and talked funny. . Would Laney give up, and go back to her own time and troubled way of life or would she tough it out and fight for a chance to love and be loved?
Would they come to understand each other, would they find out who was trying to ruin the ranch, ruin their relationship, could they really trust each other? Who was trying to tear them apart before they could come together? Would their hearts be strong enough to keep them together or in time pull them apart?
This story is full of suspense, heart tugging and the strength of love with maybe a second chance.

I could feel Laney's pain and her feelings of never doing anything worthwhile or never being good enough to find real love. She was tougher then she thought and had that survival instinct that let her take one more chance at life. Was it worth it was she worth it? This story is full of emotion that you can feel as your own. Great writing! Great read!
