3.0 out of 5 stars Do not use with milk, July 5, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This protein powder is similar to others. I added a picture comparing this product (on the right) with Gold Standard (on the left). As you can see, the nutritional content is pretty similar, although the Gatorade protein powder has a bit less protein.

The taste is just Ok - not amazing, but not at all unpleasant. However, it simply cannot be mixed with milk (directions are for water, unlike other powders that will say milk or water). Mixed with milk (skim) the resulting drink was a congealed mess that had the consistency of mud.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend. Plenty of other similar products are out there with more protein and mix well with milk. I'll probably give away the remainder of my jar.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't use this on my worst enemy, June 23, 2016

Possibly the worst trimmer/groomer I've had. After just a couple of months it jams up and snags on my hair. The attachments are an unweidly mess that I've never even tried to use. Avoid this POS.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but pricey, toy, June 22, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This product is a case and holder (with lenses) for VR using your Iphone. That much should be obvious, but if you were looking for a VR headset, (like with a headstrap) this isn't it.

The case is pretty solid. You can find a more heavy-duty type of case like an otterbox or lifeproof. I prefer to go without a case, as this one (like most cases) add a little bulk to your phone which can be inconvenient. The holder/headset itself has two lenses; it folds in so it can fit in your pocket pretty easily. The headset also has a QR code that you'll need for most apps to scan and calibrate. The lens distance cannot be changed, so if your eyes are closer or further apart than average - it may feel a little wonky. This cannot be changed. Your phone is held by the tension of the two sides of the holder/headset - so it doesn't slide into the headset like other VR headsets I've seen. I had no problems with this, but I think the phone could be more secured.

VR is still in its infancy stages. There are a lot of cool applications, viewers, games, and of course porn. It reminds me of the early days of PC computing. I've played with it a lot and it is a lot of fun. All of my friends have enjoyed playing with it as well.

My only knock on this product is the price-point. You can use Google Cardboard (which is a cardboard box with lenses) for about$15. There are also products available similar to this one for about $30 or $40. I'd recommend trying VR on your phone to anyone; but I would probably advise you to check out google cardboard first.

5.0 out of 5 stars New fav for over-the-ears headphones., April 19, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
These are my go-to headphones now to listen to music at work. I'm not much of an audiophile, but I can tell the sound quality is great for the nuanced highs and mids of classical music, and the bass is really good for rap or explosions. These obviously beat earbuds in terms of sound quality.

I have a "cheap" over-the-ears sennsenhiemer pair of headphones (about $50/60) and these excel not only in terms of sound quality, but also in terms of comfort. For me, these are THE most comfortable headphones I've ever used. I can wear these for hours easily - my old pair start to feel a bit uncomfortable after an hour or so.

There's a bunch of adjustability with these headphones - length of headband of course, but also the headphones can slide back about an inch if you really need more options. The cord is generously long (about 6') and it comes with an iPhone headphone cord that includes volume/track control and a microphone if that's your thing. The cord detaches from the headphones - which hopefully will future-proof these phones if Iphones end up getting rid of the headphone jack as rumored.

These aren't noise cancelling headphones, but I pretty much can't hear ambient office noise while I'm listening to music with these headphones. If you're comfortable with the price and audio quality (I can't claim to be an expert in that field), I'd say these headphones are just about perfect.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great picture, bad sound, needs extra equipment, April 15, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This would be a fun toy, something to take on the porch or garage and watch youtube videos or netflix while hanging out. Out of the box, the projector is relatively straightforward - plug in phone or other input into HDMI slot, turn on the unit, and watch some shows. Using a focus wheel, you may need to adjust the picture.

The picture is outstanding. I've projected images up to 8' and I have to say it looked outstanding. Of course, a darkened room is almost required, as ambient light will make the projector picture harder to see. The projector comes with a handy tripod that helps finding a place to set up the little cube.

On the downside, the sound is really atrocious. Turned up all the way, it's about as loud as an Iphone speaker. The workaround is to plug an auxiliary cord into the projector's headphone jack and run that to an external speaker. There's no Iphone input jack, so if you're wanting to use an iphone you will have to buy an HDMI adapter (about $50). Once you add external speakers and an HDMI converter, this sleek little cube becomes a cumbersome mess of wires and devices.

Weirdly, the projector cannot be charged while operating. So once the battery dies, you have to stop using the projector, plug it in, and wait for it to charge. That said, I've gotten at least an hour's worth of use easily, and I haven't gotten to the end of battery life yet. I'll edit this review if I ever figure out exactly how long the projector works.

I'm doubtful this projector could be used in a productive sense. Maybe if you use a laptop in a dark room and need to run a powerpoint presentation, it would be adequate, but that might be a stretch. Simply using it as a toy is fun, but requires a lot of additional pieces to work, and you will be restricted by battery life even if you have a power source available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed at first, until I gave it time, March 1, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was skeptical at first. It seemed this heater didn't get as hot as a cheap ceramic heater. I'd turn it on and after 30 minutes or so I couldn't tell any appreciable warm up. Then I let it run for an hour or so. I could tell my bedroom was appreciably warmer. Then I started leaving it on overnight - the difference was incredible. I was surprised at how the unit itself, along the sides, the top, and the back, stays cool to the touch. This heater doesn't seem to get as hot as other, cheaper heaters; but if you give it a little time it will absolutely warm up a big room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brighter than a 1000 suns, December 29, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This thing is bright! Out of the box, with batteries, I decided to simply turn it on looking head-on and was seeing spots for the next few minutes. It stays secure and comfortable while wearing on your head. Even while running I didn't have any problems with slipping or shifting. The beams can tilt down depending on what position you might need.

I loved these headphones at first. However, they completely stopped working. Plugged them in for hours and they never charged. Googling the issue it seems like this is pretty common. Really disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Totally broken, November 10, 2015
This review is from: Paw Patrol - Mission Chase (Toy)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
EDIT: After a couple of months, it has completely broken. New batteries were added and all the voices and sounds it usually made are no longer working. The little flashlight is broken too. Wouldn't recommend; but I'm leaving my original review below.

Paw Patrol is a pretty big deal, so an animatronic Chase seemed like a good idea. I had some misgivings about whether my 4 year old would be too reckless to play with something with as many moving parts; but it has held up perfectly so far. The net and flashlite/megaphone combo tucks into the "backpack." Pressing the badge will start an interactive session with commands like "shoot my net." Battery life seems pretty good, and my kids still haven't worn them out yet. It seems like an unduly complicated toy with moving head and legs, but it hasn't broken yet so I'm not complaining.

The only thing that aggravates me is there is no volume control. I don't know if this toy was made for hearing-impaired or what - but it's really loud for an indoor toy.
