5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for Learning Naked Eye Astronomy, July 18, 2011

This is a great book for naked eye astronomy. You will be able to learn where the constellations are located in the night sky as well as many major stars. It is easy to follow and there is something very beautiful about sky lore. Humans have always looked at the stars for guidance. Learning naked eye astronomy is very good for you and gives you a sense of connection with the cosmos and Earth's relationship with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read, April 21, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is one of the most important books to enter into the dialogue of religion and spirituality in a long time. John Lash cuts to the root cause of the problem facing global society, It clearly puts forward a version of history which has been ruthlessly suppressed and ridiculed by the "victors" of history. If your a follower of the Abrahamic religions then this book is more than a must, it could very well save you from your salvation! This book will resonate deeply with people who know the world has been led down an alienating path of separation from the planet and each other. As more and more people continue to wake up to the need to live in an intelligent way with each other and the Earth, the materialistic society that has been created will collapse under the weight of it's contradictions and causes of pathology, in it's place humanity must put forward a collective story to guide the species, one which recognizes the sacredness of all life a story which acknowledges the Earth as our home and teacher and a story which honors the intelligence and potential of humanity. The coming years will be crucial in the evolution of our species, the momentum is definetley growing towards an emergence of a nature based Gaian oriented spirituality, how indigenous people have always viewed the Earth and a way of relating to life which was taught in the mystery schools. It's tragic to think of the knowledge that was lost when ideological fanaticism swept throughout the Near East, the teachings of astronomy, art, music, sacred geometry, herbalism and many other subjects is in stark contrast to the dumbing down of people in modern education systems. We are all called to take our place in ushering in a return of the ways of the wise ones and to stop betraying ourselves to the machine of error. As John Lash says this book is definetley "For the mystics of the future."
