Very fast CPU/GPU but you will pay for that with a couple of drawbacks:
> Larger than the Nexus 7, no longer fits in my back pocket
> About twice as heavy as a Nexus 7
> Touch screen just ignores touches sometimes and the whole device has to be rebooted.

It's better than nVidia's last tablet (the Note 7) but it's still pretty rough. Unless you really need that processing power, I'd stick with the tried and true Nexus 7.

1.0 out of 5 stars Auto shut-off will drive you insane, April 25, 2014
I have this device hooked up to my PC via stereo analog cable. If there's no sound coming from the PC for about 10 minutes, the device shuts itself off. You then have to go grab the remote and hit the power button to turn it back on (and it takes it about 5 - 10 seconds before it starts outputting sound, just to add insult to injury.)
This makes it completely unsuitable for....well, pretty much any purpose whatsoever in my opinion. Caveat emptor.

1.0 out of 5 stars Reboots itself every 2 minutes, November 22, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It runs for a minute or so, then reboots itself. That's all it ever does.
I can usually get it to boot up, maybe even get as far as turning WiFi on. Then the thing just reboots itself, every time. Tried two different power supplies, both were 2.0A as recommended. Neither prevented the thing from just crashing/rebooting within minutes of being on.
I now have an $80 piece of worthless plastic. Caveat emptor!

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with my purchase, August 25, 2011
These are a good solid set of headphones. The build quality is very good -- though maybe still slightly below what I would expect at this price point. Sound quality is excellent. Comfort is very good -- I wear these for 8 hours at a time with very little discomfort and only a minor amount of sweat to deal with.
The noise cancellation is good but I've never been truly satisfied with any noise-cancelling I've witnessed. Here is a concrete example: I have a loud PC about 4 or 5 feet away from my ears; it is still clearly audible, dare I say still even loud, with the noise-cancelling turned on. That said, it's way way better than no noise-cancelling at all.
Final note is on battery life. The headphones have a passive mode so they don't require batteries, but the noise-cancellation does and I can say you'll get about 8 to 10 hours of noise-cancelling on one (AAA) battery. Plenty for a long flight but bring extra batteries for the return flight (or do what I do and use rechargeables.)

4.0 out of 5 stars You don't need to miss the party!, September 20, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm not sure what the previous reviewer meant by "native" USB 3.0? If there is some secret high-speed USB 3.0 interface that this card doesn't provide, that's news to me.
I have a USB 3.0 compatible device (the GoFlex Pro) and it operates about 50% faster when using pure USB 3.0 interfaces (that's my unofficial eye-ball best-guess at perf improvement.)
This is a good card. It's pretty cheap, and uses the PCI-E bus so you don't have to worry about finding a free PCI slot (which lately are harder and harder to come by.) A solid buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Note this is FireWire 800 not 400, September 19, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
FireWire 800 is "backward-compatible" with FireWire 400 but the cables are *not*. If you just have some old (or even not that old) 1394 port on your PC it's not going to automatically work. From Wiki:

"...It is backwards compatible to the slower rates and 6-circuit alpha connectors of FireWire 400. However, while the IEEE 1394a (FireWire400) and IEEE 1394b (FireWire800) standards are compatible, FireWire 800's connector, referred to as a beta connector, is different from FireWire 400's alpha connectors, making legacy cables incompatible."

You have been warned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gets the job done, and done well for the price, September 7, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Been using this unit a few weeks now. I didn't need the VGA part -- I only wanted a two-port USB switch for my mouse & keyboard and this was the most reasonably-priced item I could find that would fit the bill.
The good: works perfectly fine without any VGA connectors attached to monitors, so works for my purposes just fine.
The bad: Well, the cables that come with it are a little bit short. I have two computers each at opposite ends of a cafeteria table and the cables are basically not long enough to reach both of them (not and still have the unit be on the table instead of on the floor.)
The nit-picky: It takes about 3 seconds for the unit to switch over between computers. It would be awesome if that were 1 second, but at this price you really can't complain.

Overall, I recommend. A solid buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent fryer, December 11, 2007
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The fact that all the pieces exposed to oil are dishwasher-safe is a terrific feature. The pot is nice and big, and the lid prevents a "moat" of oil from forming around the unit.
There is a charcoal filter on top to help remove odor, but be prepared for a fair amount of odor anyway. Recommend using below a cook-top fan.
Overall an excellent fryer.

5.0 out of 5 stars What's not to like?, December 11, 2007
Right size, right fit, very comfortable. This is my favorite sock. Buy in bulk though...although comfortable they do wear-out relatively quickly -- especially if you keep them on 24/7 like I do.
