3.0 out of 5 stars Take it or leave it, October 25, 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First I have to say the game is not a huge letdown but it feels more like an add-on. I find the plot a little bit silly and hardly motivational but events that unfold during your quest might be appealing to some. Regardless, as a huge Fallout 3 fan (didn't like turn-based 1 and 2) it is a nice have must play game. I wish this game had continued where the original left off through the eyes of the same character or maybe I'm not too attached to mine yet...

Pros:

- lesser grim mood than Fallout 3
- new perks
- companions can be commanded

Cons:

- crashes (one time my PS3 slim crashed so badly that I had to power cycle it)
- slowdowns (they're not that bad but console games should be optimized to play on a console)
- graphical bugs (large objects that are far away show clipping problems like lakes/buildings)
- leveling system is different from Fallout 3 either by design or a bug (player is able to chose perk with every other level up)
- personally I dislike the faction based fame system (game is forcing you to choose sides a way or another and you'll end up in conflict)

4.0 out of 5 stars Bright vivid colors, lots of inputs, easy to use, October 14, 2010
Pros: - No dead pixels
- Bright vivid colors
- Ergonomic
- Huge resolution (1920 x 1200)
- Easy to use OSD
- Lots of inputs

Cons: - Back light bleeding aka "glow"
- Cable management system on the back sucks
- Bezel is not really flush with the LCD in the right bottom corner, standby LED light "bleeds" through the gap (noticeable only when monitor is turned off)
- Standby LED too bright but can be turned off from the OSD menu

Other Thoughts: I hope to keep this monitor long enough to make worth the $550. So far I'm pleased but there's always room for improvement.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fast but not fast enough for the price, September 21, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I see lots of people benchmarking their drives, getting insane speeds. This one tops at 150-170MB/s dropping below 100 at the end of the platters in HD Tune on a SAS 9260-8i controller, Supermicro motherboard and dual Xeon X5650.
Windows 7 disk score was 5.9. It's been reliable for a couple of months, no problems here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid SAS/SATA Raid controller, few quirks, September 14, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The price is well justified with this controller. You get all common RAID support plus their spans, 512MB cache, optional BBU support, four internal SAS/SATA ports (up to 32 max) and SAS II (6Gbps) support. Also love the sideband/I2C signaling support on the card which goes well with a backplane if you have one on your chassis.
What I like the least is the LSI WebBios option ROM where you set up the RAID array. I wish they would have gone with the traditional text mode BIOS. Mouse support does not work for me and I don't even use a wireless input device so have to use TAB and cursor keys all the time.
Another quirk is the fact that the controller disappears from your BIOS boot order completely if there are other SATA HDD devices present in your system. This should not pose a problem if you want to move all your existing HDDs from your motherboard to the controller but It took me a while to realize...not being mentioned anywhere.

To people having problems getting into the WebBios by pressing CTRL+H, you have to set the controller as your primary boot device in your system BIOS.

A note of caution, this controller does not support JBOD but works with a single HDD in RAID0. There is a hidden way to enable the JBOD option with megacli but the feature does not work regardless.

However, I give this a solid 8/10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard with no useless fluff, August 6, 2010

Love the keyboard for its classic design. No more useless fluff like copy and paste buttons, playback buttons, browser... email buttons etc.
The keys are at the right size and shape, no more irregular over sized or shrunk keys.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy, broke after the first use, July 26, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought this along with two pad replacements. I was only able to use it once, I could feel the current through all pads, middle, left and right. After one use only the right pad would work. I have re-charged it, changed pads and cleaned the contacts with no joy. The only other time I lost money that fast was at a casino in Las Vegas. It's your call...

1.0 out of 5 stars Integrated power supply, will work on 120v only, June 12, 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Why the surprise? Because they have changed the design and removed the external power brick. Now that it's integrated it supports 120v only and will work in the US/Canada only. Before, you could have just swapped the power brick with the appropriate one and take it overseas. Not anymore.
The build also looks cheaper than what was manufactured few years ago.

Who would have known that Disney could make something as cool as this! Prepare to get goose bumps BIG TIME!
The right combination of thrill, special effects and music (finally a game w/o the omni present emo rock music) will blow you out of the water!

I wish I had ordered it from Amazon now, price dropped $10 since yesterday :(

2.0 out of 5 stars Get it and you'll know why the ones at the gym are 100 times better, March 2, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Title should say it all. Inclination can't be adjusted, handles are too tall, makes a lot of noise and the button on the display is useless.
Assembly was very easy unlike several people complained. If adjusted properly you can reduce the amount of noise but not by much.
This is also no good if you live in an apartment complex. Not only it's loud but the whole floor will shake when running on it.

After a few sessions on it I have decided to go to the gym and not worry about any of these problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't "resist", had to have both games..., February 24, 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
I got a great deal and bought this for $30 brand new off eBay. Graphics are noticeable better than the first Resistence but no way near the quality of Killzone 2.
Not sure if it's just me but I find this easier to play than the first game. Game has trophies too...
