4.0 out of 5 stars The left won't like this book at all..., September 9, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It's painfully obvious that the left isn't going to like this book - they don't like any book that tells the truth about B. Hussein Obama (the amateur president) and his cronies. The book ties up a bunch of loose ends, and explains several of the lies told by the administration. My only gripe is that it was too short. Given the overwhelming amount of lies, deception, duplicity, and breach of procedure related to this incident, I wish there had been more commentary. What president plays golf when an Ambassador of the United States of America is brutally tortured and murdered at the hands of a mob of savages? B. Hussein Obama. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is just as culpable based on her own actions and inaction.

By the way, any review of this book that doesn't say "Verified Purchase" most likely means the "reviewer" never read the book. Keep that in mind when you start seeing negative reviews from the left wing hit squad.

5.0 out of 5 stars The shining star in a totally botched product release..., August 22, 2014
This tablet is the best Android tablet I've ever used. It's features and performance easily rival even the most expensive competitors. The accelerated graphics are comparable to many laptops with discrete GPUs, and the processor is also very quick. Unfortunately, NVIDIA completely botched the product release by not having the required peripherals (namely, the vaunted wireless controller) available when the tablet was released. After almost a month on the market, the peripherals are STILL not widely available. It's almost as if NVIDIA decided not to manufacture the peripherals until they knew if the Shield was going to be a commercial success. Regardless of the reason, NVIDIA lost a lot of good will with this release. Also, they made a mistake forcing users that want LTE to use AT&T. Without fighting the Crusades all over again, there are better LTE network providers out there. Buy the tablet, but don't expect to see the peripherals required to make it great for a few months.

Speaking of buying the tablet, DO NOT pay $359.99 for a tablet in ready supply that retails for $299.99. Sellers are popping up (including on Amazon) that are trying to sell this tablet above retail. There are lots of places selling this tablet at the $299.99 retail price. Many Best Buy stores also stock them. I can't fathom the ebay mentality these sellers get when they try to sell a product above retail, but it disgusts me. I keep a list of sellers who play this little game, and I refuse to EVER do business with any of them. That's just my $.02.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive motherboard, but worth every single penny, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is one of the most full-featured motherboards I've ever used. It supports a very wide range of CPU and memory options, and has the most extensive set of built-in peripherals I've seen on any motherboard. This motherboard allows just about any functionality (including authentication using an NFC tag) without requiring an add-on card. This leaves the board slots open for huge GPUs and other peripherals that shouldn't be built-in. If the plan is to build a computer that can be upgraded significantly over time, this is the motherboard to buy. As usual, driver and software support from ASUS is excellent, and you won't end up with a bunch of unidentified devices in your Windows device manager. I have used this motherboard on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Fedora 20 Linux without any issues whatsoever. The motherboard also has a large number of USB2 and USB3 ports and headers, so you'll be hard-pressed to find a case with more ports than this motherboard can support.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best liquid cooler for the money, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This cooler is an amazing piece of equipment. It works exactly as advertised, and is pretty simple to install. Mine are totally silent, but I have heard of units that make a buzzing noise when the CPU is hot. The only possible issue is that with larger motherboards, the cooler might need to be installed on top of the radiator connector, rather than under it. This has no impact on performance or functionality, but it's something to consider. I have two of these working at the moment, and both systems scream.

3.0 out of 5 stars It works, but it'll take some effort to install, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Unless you have a specific need for a TPM, don't buy one. Driver and application support is pretty bad, so you should be prepared for some dirty work to get this running. I have 25 years of experience in the information technology field, and I almost gave up on installing this. The hardware is great, but the software isn't. If you aren't careful, you can end up locked out of your system, and unable to retrieve your data.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible case for any non-portable application, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are the best system cases I've ever used. I build my own desktops and servers, and I rarely come across a case that works well for either application. This case has extensive internal wiring, along with a simple fan controller. It also has tons of drive bays, along with an adequate number of front panel ports. Two drawbacks, though. First, this case is HEAVY!! This is totally fine, though, because the build quality is excellent. Second, it has a limited number of single slot 5.25" drive bays facing out (for DVDROM, etc), so you won't be sticking a mini-RAID in it unless you mount it internally. I recommend buying a motherboard power cable extension, because the cable that comes with most power supplies just isn't long enough. Don't forget extensions for the 4-pin ATX power cable(s) as well. You won't be dragging this case to LAN parties, but it doesn't get any better for a non-portable case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing device in a small package!, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bus Pirate (Personal Computers)
This is the best serial protocol analyzer made for hobbyists. The feature set rivals commercial solutions costing thousands of dollars more. I use this device as both a hobbyist and a professional. I recommending buying the probe kit as well - most of the documentation available references the color of the leads, rather than the pin number. I have used this device to troubleshoot everything from malfunctioning microcontrollers to public safety radio and data transmission systems.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction to a great little powerplant, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The DVD was a reasonable introduction. I was expecting more of a classroom format, but there was still lots of useful information. I recommend this for any new owner of an aircraft with a Rotax 912.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good and not-so-good..., July 21, 2013

I enjoyed the technical accuracy of the book, but I also agree with the other reviewers who complained that the story was wrapped up too quickly. Issues notwithstanding, I wouldn't hesitate to read another book by this author.
