5.0 out of 5 stars Soon to be Classic, December 12, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I now own two of these Seiko SNM037's. They have the look and uniqueness of my Seiko 7549 Tuna's that have become a classic.
These watches are big, bold, and good looking. It may take a year or two, but these are destined to become a Seiko that rates that
classic status. They are simple, tasteful, and unique without going over the top, like a lot of watches are now doing. Grab one,
while you can still find one. There are NONE on eBay!

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT FOR THE MONEY, January 22, 2010
The Vortex 10 x 25 was a surprise when I received it. It was small (fits in my fist) and well made.
For the cost it's excellent. With the eye cup screwed out there was little to no ghosting, but I
don't wear glasses. It comes with a neat little case, a strap, and a cleaning cloth. A small monocular
is what it is. They are hard to hold steady but when I compare these to my mini Leica 10x binoculars
I would rate it a 8 and if I considered value maybe a 9. These work for my day pack and bug out bag
without taking up too much space and 10x to boot.
The Vortex is bright and very clear. It will make an excellent scope for backpacking. It won't replace
my big Minox or Leicas, but I wouldn't want to take them backpacking either. I would take the Vortex
on a hike over my small Leica 10x binoculars just for the simplicity of a monocular. No folding and unfolding.
Also if it gets dinged up it has a lifetime warranty, and if lost your looking at a little over fifty bucks.
In my humble opinion , it's a great deal.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money, August 26, 2009
Save your money and buy The Free State of Jones by Vicki Bynum. It's a much more accurate read and has much better research in my opinion.
Read Ed Payne's review for an excellent critique of this book. I was looking for historical information on Jones County during Civil War times
but wound up listening to the glorification of Newton Knight, who in this book, was made to look like a hero. He certainly was not. The book went overboard in
conjecture on Knights personal thoughts as well. The narration was well done except for the attempt at southern dialog. The Free State of Jones by Bynum
will give you much better picture of Newt Knight and Jones County.

5.0 out of 5 stars MONEY WELL SPENT, May 20, 2009
I had wanted a wanted a tobacco brown briefcase for a couple of years and even got outbid on a couple. I finally decided that life was short and I had better get one instead of buying cheap messenger bags and soon after wishing that I had bought the Saddleback instead. Well.. they are all they are said to be. The smell and feel of the leather is exceptional. The quality is all there and very evident. This is a heavy leather bag that will last for generations. My wife is starting to eye it and I may have to keep it locked in my truck (my 26 year old daughter will never see it).
If you have looked at Saddleback bags but have hesitated to buy, don't! They are well worth the money. I only wish that I had bought mine when I first saw them a few years ago. By now, it might look just a little broken in. This thing will only get better with age and use, contrary to almost anything that you buy these days.
