5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent to catch mice, need to know how to used it properly, August 8, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought a package of 12 of this glue/trap paper. Caught 3 mices in about a week. Very effective product. The other day, when the professional pest control guys came over for annual check, I saw they were using the same product.

However, YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT PROPER for it to be effective.

1. Where to place the glue paper is critical.

Mice typically follows fixed pattern of pathes, and they often runs closely along the walls (because they are short sighted). You need to know the right places to put the glue paper to be able to catch mices. You can also tell where they go by where you find the droppings on the ground. In my case, I basically put two pieces of glue paper - one along the foot of each side of the walls of the corridor between kitchen and living room. I saw mice running long the corridor and by covering each side of the wall, I covered both directions no matter where the mice goes.

2. What to do once you catch the mice.

You need to be very aware of the fact that the mice will be alive once caught. You will need to "finish" it yourself. Some people don't realize this and get surprised by at the sight of live mice glued to the paper and don't know what to do. If you have problem "finish off" the mice, then don't use this product, but try for example mice poision.

I recommend to turn the paper upside down and put into the toilet bowl - submerging under the water. Wait for a while until the mice is finished off and fold the paper and throw it away.

3. Each time you catch a mice, wait a couple of days before using the product again to catch additional one.

Right after a mice is caught other mices seem to learn to avoid it. But apparently they also have bad long term memories. I was able to catch them days apart until there was no more mice activities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well with Win 7 64bit & MCE, good value, June 8, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Workes well in Win 7 64 bit and in MCE:
- Win 7 64 bit does not automatically pick up this card upon installation. Nothing shows up in Device Manager.
- Downloaded Win 7 64bit driver from manufacturer -[...] - and installed driver, rebooted PC. Volla! Card shows up in Device Manager without any problem. Driver installation was quick and straightforward.
- Picture quality looks OK. HD TV looks good by itself anyway. No major difference I can tell from the Hauppauge Win TV card I have
- One of the best velue for DUAL digital tunner, especially considering that I bought used. You really just need to card itself no other accessories/manual/CD are needed if you buy used one

Product limitations:

- Limited by only 1 signal input, shared among the two tunner. So, if you want to hook up more than one sources (like cable and satellite) you should look for a different product

- Digital only - Over The Air (OTA) ATSC broadcasting, or Clear QAM from cable. If you need to tune traditional cable signals, or traditional OTA NTSC broadcasting signals, you need a different product. But why would you want to look at any thing other than the digital TV anyway?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product - bi-directional and high frequency for digital cable and cable internet, June 7, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered two of this. The bi-directional feature is definitely needed for digital cable or cable internet (to pass back interactive signals.) Also, it is a high frequency one - 2.4GHz. If you are to split signals for digital cable (i.e. digital cable set top box) or cable internet (i.e. cable modem), I would suggest you to pick the high frequency one - 2.4 GHz like this one. There are other 2.0GHz products on the market which I don't have experience. The older models with 900MHz or 1000MHz (i.e. 1GHz) frequencies would probably not work as well for digital signals, although I didn't bother to test those.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality product and nice looking too, June 7, 2011

Works well. Signals are good, after two levels of splitters as well. Good overall construction and details too. I would recommend this. I think it is also one of the lower price ones too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, good picture quality for OTA HD TV, May 31, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Excellent product. Hooked up for OTA HDTV receiption and the picture lookes great - much better than traditional TV, SD (Standard Dificition i.e. 480p) cable TV.

The driver section of the manufacturer's web site could use a bit of improvement. Some how, it seems the "latest" version of the standalone driver for Win 7 is not as latest as the one included in the Windows Media Center kit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value and good signal receiption for OTA HD TV (ATSC), May 31, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Want an economical way of grabbing the Over-The-Air (OTA) HD TV signals for my HTPC's TV tuner card. Read the postings/reviews online to decide between basic rabbit ear models and more fancy (more expensive) odd-shaped "advanced" antenna or amplified antenna. Finally decided to go with this model. It works very well. Adjusting positioning within the room is important as it seems to be very sensitive too that.

Bottom line, if your location has good signal receiption (i.e. within 10 miles of singal tower), you don't need any fancy antenna or amplified models to get HDTV OTA signals.

The only problem with the product is the construct quality. I accidently (with fair ease) broke one of the "rabit ear". It is a bit flimsy I have to say. Surprisingly, with only one "ear", it works equally fine. I can't tell noticeable issues to signal receiption.
