This review is from: Breakthrough (Kindle Edition)
Interesting concept but several major structural flaws. All the main characters were cliche stereotypes. It seems that Mr. Grumley dialed up central casting. The ending also was a severe letdown to the point the last line could have been "and they all lived happily ever after!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Pierce Brown has the Golden Touch!, February 28, 2015

Cannot wait for the next book!

I tore through Golden Son right after finishing Red Rising. Pierce Brown has created a robust world with well developed characters. The only draw back is that this book does not stand on its own you have to read the first one but don't worry you will enjoy it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Alright military space fiction, February 8, 2015

Impressive grasp of military discipline and the physics of space travel, however that is where this book ends. There is little to no Character development and the story is not original by any means. Warship is an ok way to pass a couple of hours but not much more than that.

Good not great. This installment left me wanting more. It did not feel as complete a story as the first inception book.
Still a very enjoyable and fast paced read.

Bradley continues to knock it out of the park in post apocalyptic fiction. Can't wait for the next one.

While this concept was fresh many books ago it feels very tired. Not sure if I will continue with this series.

First time I read Riddle but not the last. The author takes their time in immerse you in the story. The only gripe is that I would have liked to see more of the story from the alternative universe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another good entry, March 2, 2013
I devour each star force book as soon as it comes out. This was another good outing however it seemed to suffer from multiple plot points setting up the next book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warm hat., March 4, 2012

Warm beanie. Product as described. Delivery was quick. Why does a review have to be 20 words? It was a beanie not a essay on Hemingway's use of existentialism in the Old Man and the Sea. I bet Hemingway would have liked this beanie.
