5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, August 15, 2002
This is the best I have found. I tried the Cuisinart kettle but the solvents used on the plastic parts (including inside) gave the water a terrible taste and smell. Most kettles had those plastic parts inside for the auto-shut-off mechanism but not this one (it is concealed in the cover)
It is compact and does not take much room on your counter, very quick and so far nothing negative to say about it at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just had to review my rating, July 20, 2002
There is a smell but especially a taste which gets stronger with each use or just more noticeable with various teas. This one is going back unfortunately..

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book for learning..., July 20, 2002
As mentioned above, this is not a book of patterns but it will teach you all basic techniques you could want. It is clear and easy even for a beginner. The pictures are also a great source of inspiration! Make sure to check out Carol Wicox Wells' newest book, which will take you from learning to creating!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, July 20, 2002
I got this one after unsuccessfully trying the Cuisinart waffle maker. It is wonderful! None of the batters, not even gluten-free ones would stick. All waffles came out great, crisp outside and moist inside. The grill feature was a plus and makes great grill cheese or other types or grilled sandwishes in a jiffy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, tea in a flash!, July 20, 2002
This kettle works well and fast. Its compact size makes it ideal for small kitchens and it looks good enough to come to the table too!
I could not give it five starts because of the handle which makes it a bit akward to handle and fill. The plastic part inside as others mentioned and I am not quite sure yet whether it affects the water or not. At first try the taste is not altered at all but I will keep an eye on it.
I bought it because it was the most readily available, not my first choice but so far so good.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible!, July 20, 2002
I tried this waffle iron simply because of the Cuisinart brand and figured it would be as good as their other appliances... it works with certain mixes but if you prefer from scratch, low-fat or special grains pwaffles you are out of luck. Not only did the waffles stick but when you tried to open the waffle maker the top cover does not adhere well enough to give you leverage to unstick and open the waffle maker...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best!, July 20, 2002
I loved my Delonghi while it lasted but when it came time to replace it I tried the Cuisinart and loved it instantly! It is perfect for small family dinners, pies and small batches of cookies. Does not take too much counter space and is very easy to clean.

What an inspiration! I loved both this and Marla's first book. Her designs are unique and the story or "journey" along with it is inspiring as well.

Zojirushi CD-DEC30 Deluxe 3.18-Quart Micom Electric Dispensing Pot
Zojirushi CD-DEC30 Deluxe 3.18-Quart Micom Electric Dispensing Pot

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, July 19, 2002
This dispensing pot does everything it promises as always with Zojirushi! Initial heating takes a long time but no more than a conventional water kettle (possibly less) after that youhave hot water for just about anything all day long. Very compact and "discreet" on your counter top. It is a rather large capacity though, 2.2L would have been enough for our family.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have, March 13, 2002
This is one of the best books for families with mutiple allergies. It covers all of ours except gluten but in most recipes the standard flour and non-gluten product substitutions work very well. For me, cooking without eggs was the most difficult, Ms. Coss' substitutions worked better than most especially in baked goods.
