5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!, June 19, 2014
Do not be fooled, Ms. Alkon's acerbic wit belies a tender heart. She understands that manners are codefied compassion and that they are not only functional and fun they also improve your mental health. You need to read this and slip one under the pillow or door of everyone you know. The world will be a better place if you do

5.0 out of 5 stars Make Learning Fun Again!, October 15, 2012
This is a great book that I think every educator needs to familiarize him or herself with. I think a great many children can benefit from Ms. Arrowsmith's techniques. In addition to being a useful introduction to her 'method' it is an enjoyable read, the author is an excellent storyteller!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Montgomery's latest book is a rock solid read!, October 13, 2012
The rocks don't lie is a wonderful factual and, I think, loving treatment of the troubled relationship between science and religion. I think of Dr. Montgomery as a geo-philosopher because of the amazing connections he makes between our physical world, literally the planet we live and walk on, and our emotional, psychological and spiritual world. It's well written, fun to read and extremely well researched and documented.
