5.0 out of 5 stars BEST TV wallmount Iv'e ever seen!, June 4, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently read a review about this TV bracket and they said the lag bolts snap! Being a journeyman carpenter myself, I first picked my height. Then with a Finnish nail located my "EXACT" wall stud centers then I drilled the specified dia.holes,Measured the vertical distance between the holes in the bracket, did the layout (Its very important to drill the holes in studs center for maximum strength! Then I loaded the lag bolts threads with bar soap (you can also use candle wax) ran the lag bolt in with a ratcheting drill with a socket loaded in the chuck. Then I ran each bolt in and back out again.(Now they will be much easier to keep in center while mounting bracket to wall) Next with a lag bolt in the drill and it's threads re-loaded with bar soap hold bracket to wall run top left hole in first leaving a eighth inch or so from tight so you can still move bracket without damaging the wall surface. Now run the rest in and do your final tightening by hand to snug with these lag bolts in the studs exact center this baby will hold ALOT! (even if you have to drill or oblong one or two of the holes in the bracket along the width. It's imperative you maintain these lag bolts in the studs center for maximum strength!)PS take your time when doing your lay-out and recheck your measurements with the plentiful number holes provided in the bracket you should have little trouble if any, and use washers under the lag bolts head.
