Awesome snow pants. Fit exactly as expected. Never even got damp. The buttons on the front might come undone of you bend over, but a belt fixed that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Range. Easy to use., October 4, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Infrared remote shutter triggers are great, but if you stand farther than 5 feet away, you won't trigger the shutter-not to mention you need line of sight.

This wireless trigger uses radio frequencies as oppose to infrared which mean you don't need line of sight and you can trigger the shutter from about 100 feet away.

Perfect for using if you are doing long exposure, experimental self portraits, shooting nature, or anything else that might require you to be far away from the camera.

There is a battery for the transmitter and receiver which last for a good number of triggers (I think 100's or maybe even 1000's)

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for DSLR Video, August 21, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are new to shooting video on a DSLR, you may or may not know that you need a fast SD card to capture 1080p video.

My first card was a Class 10 Transcend card...but the read/write speed was only 10Mb/s. Not fast enough for video. I kept getting an error message on my T3i and it would automatically stop recording.

Did some research and found out I needed at least a 30MB/s card to guarantee video would be recorded with no hiccups.

SD cards come in different sizes, but I like the 16GB as oppose to 32GB because if have a big day of shooting, and God forbid you lose one card, you won't lose as much on a 16GB card as much as a 32GB card. (But that's personal preference)

Bottom line:

I bought 4 of these cards and although they are a bit pricy, I haven't had a single problem using them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute CRAP, August 21, 2012
If you need a flash that will only last for about 60-100 uses or about 3 months, then this is the flash for you.

Good flashes that work and that last are expensive. Get used to it. I thought I could use this product as an affordable solution to the Canon 480EXII...but it failed on me in the middle of a shoot.

Didn't even have to drop it or mishandle it, it just stopped working.

The first one that was shipped to me was 100% broken. Sounded like there were marbles inside. Didn't even turn on. The second one worked well, but only for a short time and then crapped out in the middle of a shoot.

Good flashes are expensive, but they will last you. If you buy a good brand name(canon/nikon) flash, you are going to be making a wise fiscal choice. This flash won't last.

Threw this piece of junk in the trash and saved up for 2 Canon 480EXII and I couldn't be happier.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Wonders for Triggering Shutter from a Distance, August 21, 2012
Bought for my Canon T3i and it worked perfectly for triggering the shutter from about 25' away. The product description says up to 320' but I only got about 100'. Still...that's pretty decent.

The receiver attaches to the hot-shoe mount of your camera. There are a few different settings you can switch through which is nice when you are shooting people, yourself, or at night.

Make sure it's compatible with your camera!

Bottom line:

Works really well because it utilizes radio frequencies instead of infrared light which can be obstructed. Works farther than infrared triggers, but more expensive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Light Painting, August 21, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these lights for long exposure light painting, and they were exactly what I needed.

After a lot of searching at local hardware stores, Target, and other craft stores, I could not locate any BATTERY operated LED string lights.

These were a perfect find, and for the price, I felt like I was stealing. They run off of AA batteries, but because they are LED lights, they use minimal power, so the lights last forever.

They are bright. Blindingly bright. The switch toggles the lights, on (steady), off, and a 1 second flashing interval (on for a second, off for a second).

The battery case feels EXTREMELY delicate and flimsy. The plastic and the small electrical board inside feel like they will just fall apart in your hands...but the don't...and they haven't so far.

Again, I've bought and used these for light painting and they are absolutely perfect. The colors are bright and vivid, and although the battery case feels super delicate, it's been swung around and thrown into bags repeatedly with no problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for DSLR+Attached lens + few extras, August 21, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are a on-the-go shooter, this bag is a great affordable solution.

While I don't recommend leaving lenses attached to the body of a DSLR while traveling around, sometimes you can't afford the time to attach a lens in order to get the shot.

This bag offers decent enough padding that is completely re arrangeable to your desire via Velcro strips. Mine came set up in the default arrangement which allowed me to store my Canon T3i with kit lens (18-135mm) attached. The camera+lens fit into the middle and there was room on each side for either one additional lens (small, not telephoto), or other small accessories.

Zipper pouches on the side as well as the top inside of the bag are great for storing pads, pens, or SD cards. Anything small and thin will fit nicely.

Bottom line:
This bag is ideal for the casual shooter or someone out for a day trip, or even someone who likes to commute with their camera daily. I would not recommend this bag for someone who is traveling with their gear internationally or via any means that would be extra bumpy. The padding is sufficient, but not the greatest.

**I have since upgraded cameras, and lenses, and I currently use this bag to store microphone equipment. Shotgun, stereo and lavs all fit inside nicely with extra batteries.

4.0 out of 5 stars For the Price-Must Have for GoPro/GoPro2, August 21, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are new to the GoPro camera, then this package should be purchased along with your camera.

Why? Because it comes with almost everything you (will) need once you start using you GoPro. I purchased the Surf edition of the GoPro and GoPro2, and the cameras come with specific mouting options. This bag of goodies helps to bridge the gap between the different editions and also is EXCELLENT to have once you start using your camera.

The reason this is so practical to have is because for your money, you are getting additional mounting options to play around with, and trust me you will want to play around with mounting the GoPro to everything.

BUT- it doesn't have everything. (no tripod mount)

If you are not new to GoPro, then you should know more or less what kind of specific mount you are looking for, and buy that instead. However, even for experienced GoPro users, I would still highly recommend buying this bag. It's always nice to have extra mounts on hand for a shoot. You never know what you might decide to shoot, or how you're going to capture it.

With this exact bag of mounts I can:

Mount to a something flat(skateboard deck), or curved (helmet) . Of course you can be creative as well. A few of these attachments are like Lego pieces, and connect together. I connected the piece on picture on the far left, with the piece on the far right, which puts the camera about 6" above the mounted surface. 6" might not sound like a lot, but it allows for excellent POV shots from a helmet looking down towards your feet, without getting the helmet or face in the shot.

You also get one flat adhesive mount, one curved mount, one main attachment clip, one screw, and one anti-vibration locking plug (white plug). As I mentioned, these are helpful for new or experienced GoPro users because you will want to mount to more and more stuff.

Great to have in your bag ready to use, if and when you need to.
