1.0 out of 5 stars Defective, poor service., May 29, 2014
Unit was DOA upon first usage after buying it retail. "Protected" light did not illuminate, and the USB ports failed to charge anything.

Belkin expects me to pay to ship back their defective garbage before they will replace it. This is not the way any reputable company I've dealt with recently had handled product defects or warranty returns. Simply unacceptable.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply Made, March 25, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Razor: Broke on the first blade change. The trigger button snapped off and now it's useless.

Brush: Standard shave brush, nothing special.

Bowl: Crummy plastic bowl made to look metallic. It's sitting in a drawer, because my 5-buck ceramic bowl is vastly superior. for all I know it leaks. It's cool that there's a mirror on the lid, because most bathrooms don;t have those. Also, it would be useful only if I had a third hand, because I use my off hand to pull the skin tight while I shave.

Stand - The only useful thing about this. It barely fits my existing brush and the razor I already use hangs just fine.

Moral: Don't buy this as a gift. Honestly. The guy you're buying for already has a razor and a brush that he has selected through careful deliberation. He likely has a strong personal connection with HIS razor and HIS brush. Just go buy him a nice brush stand.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, not worth the price, January 11, 2012
This review is from: Back to Basics Express Cocoa Latte
The "stirrer" widget that spins at the bottom becomes stuck with dried cocoa after about two uses, no matter how hard you try to clean it (some must seep along the axle).

Once this happens, the cocoa won't stir, and simply burns. Great!

2.0 out of 5 stars Will Break, only a matter of time, June 18, 2010
This chair worked well for a few months, until (like a number of other posters) I leaned back and the arms snapped, ruining the chair.

The chair is designed to recline, but the back is fixed, so the whole seat rotates backwards. Alone, this is not a bad thing if you're looking for an office chair and not a Lazy-boy. However, the chair's backrest is attached via the two arms, and NOTHING ELSE. There is no direct support or connection between the base and the back, despite the fact that they do not move. This key design fault means that ALL of the weight against the chair's backrest is born by the arms, and they will be stressed every time you lean backwards.

The chairs arms are a stiff plastic that will fatigue, fracture, and eventually fail. Usually, they will snap in half right next to the bolts. Because the arms are the only support for the back, this means that when the arm snaps, the entire chair is ruined.

If you rarely use your office, or you don't want to recline/lean bac, or you're a 14 year old who weighs less than 140 pounds, this chair could work for you. If you are an adult who sits down every day at your desk, look elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars NO HARDWARE!, April 9, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Solid concept, crummy execution.

I received an intact retail package, but when I opened it there were only two straps and the instructions, NO SCREWS, NO BOLTS.

The instructions list other hardware (Screws and bolts) but none were included. Every other safety item we've purchased has come with all the parts required for installation. If you choose this product, plan to stop at Lowe's before installing it on your TV.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes your bottle twice as handy, September 10, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are great for turning any avent bottle into a mik freezer bottle, or into a smaller travel bottle.

Put 8 ounces of water in a bottle with one of these, and the nipple inside. Viola, no more concern about the clear nipple-cover popping off and leaking water in the diaper bag. In a flash, we can shake-up the formula mix, swap in the nipple, and it's feeding time.

5.0 out of 5 stars You want this in your drawer, September 10, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
You can't beeat the usefullness of these style funnels in the kitchen. Even if you don't can, they're great for any number of tasks.

I use mine for pouring sauce back into the jar for fridge storage, inverted to hold up a strainer in the sink, pouring dry goods into storage onctainers, filling baby bottles, etc.

For this price, get one to keep on hand, andd you'll be surprised at how useful it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for laptop users, September 10, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
So if you treat your mp3 player like a cell phone, you probably want to plug it in each night to recharge. However, if you don't want to leave your desktop computer on all night, don't have a good spot to setup a "cradle" style charger, or use a laptop, this offers an excellent alternative.

My wife uses this to charge her ipod every night, and we have no complaints. It might be slower than a USB port, but she's asleep! There was no AC charger included with the iPod, so this adapter provided exactly what we needed. It is also small enough to easily fit in any travel bag when we take a trip.

4.0 out of 5 stars No instructions, September 10, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We needed a solution to keep my toddler from going down the basement stairs. These are great for peace of mind, as now the door swings closed automatically.

However, installation was a challenge because there were no instructions. the hinge screws on like any other, but you need to "set" the tension appropriately, and it took some effort to figure out how.

PRO:
- Does exactly what is says it'll do.
- Doesn't stand out, looks like any other hinge
- Tension is adjustable to keep door from slamming

CONS:
- Installation and adjustment are difficult due to no instructions

3.0 out of 5 stars Meh, September 10, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Round cutter sets like these are a kitchen staple, and I needed a set.
For the price, they get the job done. All in all, they're slightly flimsy, and I doubt they'll last 10 years like some of my other stuff, but they do the job and don't take up a ton of drawer space.

Pros: Do the job they were designed for. Cheap

Cons: Not the greatest, but you get what you pay for.

Conclusion: This is an option if you bake irregularly and need a set to use once every few months. If you bake every week, spring for a heavier duty set.
