Left Behind

Price: $9.96

1.0 out of 5 stars God Aweful, January 13, 2015
This review is from: Left Behind (DVD)
Left Behind was god aweful (no pun intended). I had a feeling it was going to be bad...but I was a fan of the book series and the original movies. I figured there is no way Nicholas Cage could ruin such a great story...but he did. The movie didn't realize the whole point of the book. The book and the sequels were about those who were left behind...not the actual rapture. The movie was only 5% of the entire book. The plane scene was minor and didn't last long. A reason the movie was so bad was because they turned the story into a cheap airplane disaster movie. I would expect this on Netflix or as a straight to dvd movie...not a big budget film.

Not even Jordan Sparks could help. She was just as bad as the movie itself playing the wife of a football player who's daughter disappears on the plane.

The original had its charm and even Kirk Cameron was good. This film is a waste of time. If you want to see this...just find the original 3. They are on Netflix so you don't need to look far

-um.....was so bad we wont see more

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Batman, January 9, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am a huge fan of the lego games so I had to get this game. I feel like I made the right choice. The fun was super fun. Though it has it flaws which I'll get to.

The game takes place pretty much where lego Batman 2 ended. The story revolves around a Brainiac wanting to shrink Earth down to the size of a basketball to add to his collection by harnessing the power of the 7 lantern corps. Now the Justice league must team up with the enimies to save the planet. From there you visit such locations as Oa, Gotham, the Watchtower and even...."the moon?".

Unlike past lego games we dont get one huge open world hub city. We instead get 10 small ones that we go to via a portal. These are based on locations in levels. There is a hub of Watchtower, batcave, hall of justice/doom (its two places counting as one), Oa and the other lantern worlds. Some might not like having a bunch of smaller hubs instead of one large one. I for one liked it. Its easier to find characters to unlock, quests, etc if they are all in small areas.

Like past lego games, the game features a large collection of dc characters from Batman, Superman, Booster Gold, Firefly, etc to even celebrities cameos (Kevin Smith, Adam West (the game's citizen in peril) and Daffy Duck as Green Loontern) even talk show host Conan O'Brian is in the game as a NPC. as funny as he is on tv...he is annoying in the game. He appears in some of the hubs as a tour guide explaining what each section does. It is funny what he says...the first few times. But he never says anything different. So everytime you are in that area you have to hear him say the same joke. He didnt need to be in the game.

The game features really good dlc. In the past we might have just gotten new characters and maybe a few missions. This time we get a few character packs including a Batman Beyond themed pack. But the best is of course what we get in season pass. It comes with 6 packs (Dark Knight Trilogy, Batman 75th anniversery, Man of Steel, Arrow, Bizaro and Suicide Squad). They each get 1 new level (6 total) and combined we get over 40 new characters. For $15 for season pass thats a great deal.

The writing for the game is funny as they make even the most serious great to listen to. Like other lego games, the camera is horrible. A mission might get tough if the camera goes out of whack and you might loose yourself.

If you love the lego games and/or comics. Get this game.

-Easier to navigate through hubs
-Large roster of DC characters and celebrity cameos
-great dlc

-Conan O'Brian
-Camera angles

2.0 out of 5 stars Not your parents' leprechaun, October 18, 2014
I am kind of a fan of the original series. I am also a wwe fan. So when I heard WWE films was remaking the series with Hornswoggle starring as the Leprechaun. I thought, he is perfect. He was made for the role. He is the right size and he his character was a leprechaun.

Sadly the only thing the film shares with the original is its name. There absolutely nothing simular. While the original was funny and cheesy. This film lacks what made the originals fun. The leprechaun itself is another story. It didnt even look like a leprechaun. It was more like a goblin if anything. The only thing that made it so was its lust for gold. Another problem was since the movie mostly took place at night and the attacks were quick. It was hard to see the leprechaun. Wwe could have easily used. Hornswoggle the right way but with how the creature was done. There was no need for an actor.

When its all said and done. Its a typical horror movie. For all its worth. It was an ok as it is. A straight to bluray/dvd release or a TV movie.

-ok as what it is.

-nothing like the original
-lacks the humor
-hard to see the leprechaun
-typical horror movie
-there was no need for an actor to play the leprechaun

5.0 out of 5 stars There is a burglar in my treasure, October 17, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love Lego Games and anything Lord of the Rings. So I had to get this game. I had heard many good things about the game and they were right. Its a really fun game. The levels do a great job of recreating important scenes from the hobbit movies whether is the troll caves to riding down the river in barrels. It is amazing how they can turn a simple scene as to feeding the dozen or so dwarfs into a level...especially the singing part with dishes. The scenes that play out are funny. The voice acting is great since it is taken from the movies themselves. It is quite funny to see a serious scene acted funny with movie audio.

Dont get this if you are expecting all three movies. This game contains the first two "An unexpected journey" and "Desolation of Smaug" with the third film "battle of the five armies" rumored to be dlc. So expect to pay extra money eventually for the full experience or wait to see if they release a full version.

If you havent played a lego game in a while they is a new gameplay introduced in the Lego the movie video game where at varius parts of the game you have to collect a certain amount of items that you get by destroying objecs. You then use them to build something to help you advance in game. If lets say you need 50 fish, 75 gold and 25 wood and you have everything except 3 pieces of wood, you cant build so you have to look for 3 wood. Some of the side missions involve this. It will take soon getting used to.

One great thing about lego games is the replay value. It took me 2 weeks to beat the game 100%. Once you beat all the levels you may want to return to collect the stuff you couldnt get due to not having the right character at the time. There is also side missions to unlock characters, red bricks (basically cheats), weapons, etc. So it may take you a while to beat.

One minor flaw is the camera angle. At times it will cause you to mess up or fall or not see enimies. Which can be annoying if you are trying to get somewhere.

Overall, great game. Fun for all ages. From kids to adults. Probably not for everyone but still a great game.

-replay value
-its funny
-level design
-audio from the movies
-great family game

-camera angle
-third movie not on disc
-New gameplay mechanics could be hard to get used to

5.0 out of 5 stars A new Shane...sort of, September 29, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been collecting Walking Dead figures for about a year now with this being my 14th one. I have at least one of almost every human character from the comic and show (need a Michonne, Dwight and Negan) that has a figure. I ordered this not knowing it was a re release of the figure...though thought the price was low. But didnt care because. I got this great figure for half of what the first release is selling for.

The figure looks exactlly like Shane actor Jon Bernthal. The only downer is the figure has little to no movement. Unlike most of the WD figures which have joints everywhere. This doesnt. You can only can move his head and his arms which are holding a riffle up and down. I dont care because I keep them in the package but for those who play with them or set them up to reinact scenes will hate there isnt much stuff to do.

I think regardless this is a great figure for fans of the show/comic.

-its cheaper then the original
-looks like actor/character

-no movement

5.0 out of 5 stars A new rick figure, September 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been collecting Walking Dead figures for about a year now. The only major character I hadn't been able to get (whether from the comic or tv show) due to their high price. So when I heard they were releasing a one handed Rick from the comics figure. I had to get it or it might get pricey like the other ricks.

This figure is incredible with the details from the blood stains, to the dirt and you can actually see the detail in the hair. It practically comes from the pages of the comic. If you love the Walking dead get this figure

I got this for my new PS4 as a better safe then sorry scenario since my controller is too new to have ware but I know how often it can happen so it was a good idea. I got to say the get part actual feels better then the actual analog sticks due to the think material on them. Also what is nice is that there are two sets one in black and one in blue. So if you have 2 controllers, you have one set for each one. The only problem is they can be tricky to put on. But thats about it. You should get these even if you dont need them now because they come in handy.

-feels better then the actual analog sticks
-two different colors for two controllers

-can be tricky to put on

5.0 out of 5 stars PS4 is the future, the future is PS4, August 25, 2014
This review is from: PlayStation 4 Console (Video Game)
I have been a playstation user since Sony released the first system. I had a PS1, PS2 and PSP. Then got a X-Box 360...well won it so I skipped PS3. Which I wise. There were more games that made me wish I had a PS3 vs games that made me glad I have a 360. So for next gen went back to Sony and got a PS4.

So far I love it. The graphics are amazing. Some games you will swear you are watching real life and not a game. Its that good. Also the whole design of the system looks awesome. It has a futuristic vibe to look with its shape. Another plus is it has 500GB which believe is twice as much as the best 360 or PS3. However there is a flaw. Because of the graphics being so good it takes up more memory. Some games could have few and some could have 50GB (most it can have). So watch out how much stuff you have.

A new feature is the share button which was allows you to take screenshots and videos of your gameplay that you can post on Facebook and Youtube. Which you can also edit together to make an awesome video. So now you can show how awesome you are in a game, show strategy or show a funny glitch easily.

Another new feature is standby mode which is basically sleep mode. Your PS4 basically is turned off with some power. Enough to instal updates, continue downloading and charge your controller. It is recommended to leave it in standby mode unless you have to move the system, there might be a power outage or you will be away for vacation. Its not a flaw but not a pro.

Two flaws I found that Ps3 owners wont like is right now as I type, the game library is small with not many exclusives. Also you now have to pay to play online (like XBL) unlike Ps3 which was free

All and all its a great system even with the flaws. Also literally 0.04% systems have a flaw. Where they will get a blue light of death. But dont worry Sony has a 1 yr warrenty if it happens to you.

Get this amazing system

-Awesome graphics
-500 Gb
-futuristic look

-if you arent careful you could use up your memory fast
-as of this review, very few games
-no more free online play
