5.0 out of 5 stars Best for use with Giancoli Physics 6th Edition but beware! This is only the first volume!, October 15, 2005
When I bought this item I thought I would get both the first and second volume of the study guide. However, amazon shipped to me only the first volume...

I pretty much suspect that "Physics: Principles and Applications" by Boyle is the second volume because Boyle is NOT really the author of Physics: Principles and Applications; it is Giancoli who is the real author.

Overall, this book is very good; it helps you understand more about the concepts and problems of physics presented in the actual textbook. Highly recommended for students who are taking IBS/IBH Physics.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Textbooks for Precalculus, October 15, 2005
There are countless carefully explained examples within this book that help you understand and apply the materials better. The explanation is very comprehensible. If you want to be well prepared for Introductory Calculus , this is the best book for you. After this book I recommend Calculus by Stewart.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many errors and mistakes, October 15, 2005
I agree with Benoit Launier; this book simply has too many errors and mistakes it makes it more difficult to learn Precalculus. It even makes you very frustrated. If you want to study Precalculus I recommend that you buy the The Complete Idiot's Guide to Precalculus or Precalculus with Limits (by Lial, Hornsby, and Schneider).

5.0 out of 5 stars Short and Helpful, October 8, 2005
This book has basically everything that will appear on the physics papers, either standard or higher level. Study it alongst with your textbook(s), solve plenty of physics problems and you will get at least a four over seven. Of course, if you are willing to work harder, I recommend that you get some more A-level physics books, and with those on your bookshelves you will most likely score a seven.
