5.0 out of 5 stars Very lightweight and stylish, June 26, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
These shoes fit my wife perfectly - she has size 9.5 in most of her other shoes, but especially in sports shoes it is hit and miss very often, and some of those she has are actually a size smaller or bigger than 9.5.
The shoes are very lightweight but sturdy, and the color scheme is very attractive. They are very comfortable, too, although my wife has used them only for walking yet, not for running.

5.0 out of 5 stars Speedy and sturdy, June 26, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This Micro SD card is speedy, and the packing promises protection against all kinds of perils. I did test out the speediness, and can attest to that claim, but have not submitted the card to frost, fire, water or the like yet. But for the speed alone, it is well worth paying the premium price they demand. I use the card in my new Sony a6000, which has a hilariously fast burst rate, and this card can handle it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good laptop, but could be better, June 17, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
First the major negative aspect I found:
The keyboard is made of very cheap and thin plastic; the keys have no dercernible pressure point, and the sound they make is a horrible clacking noise. There is no way to type fast on this keyboard, and even slow deliberate typing is a painful experience.
On the other hand, the outer casing of this laptop is made of sturdy and strong plastic, which makes the laptop quite lightweight. That is one of the major advantages, as well as the big screen which has very good color rendition, brightness, and sharpness. The other technical specs are acceptable - this laptop is no burner, but for general household use it will certainly suffice. But you better make sure to have a wall outlet in reach, because the battery is not the strongest and will give you, depending on the usage of course, no more than five hours of life. That is clearly the trade-off for the big screen and could be expected. But the deal breaker for me would be the sub-standard keyboard - and yes, Windows 8 is supposed to be operated with your fingers, I know. But what do you do when working in Word or Excel? Wouldn't you want a good keyboard to assist you to type in numbers and letters? Me too ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Portable and well designed, June 16, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I've been using Spinbrush toothbrushes for several years now, after I switched from a more expansive brand. Never had any regrets, and this new Spinbrush is also no disappointment. It is powerful, energy efficient, and delivers a very good cleaning result. It is also a bit more compact (in length) than my former Spinbrush model, which is great for traveling. It also has a flat bottom, so you can stand it virtually everywhere. I also like, as with the other models I had, that the brush itself is easily exchangeable and that the replacement brushes are priced reasonably. All in all I am glad to have this toothbrush.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice upgrade to former version, June 10, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I used the former version of this PDF software for about three years and was always very satisfied. PDF-generation from files or from documents on the scanner was straight forward, simple, and fast. The menu was a bit "amateurish", though - it had the look and feel of the 1990s. That changed with this updated version. The workflow is still simple and straight forward, the pdf-generation is still fast, but the menu looks much better now and is much easier to navigate. For this reason alone, the upgrade was a big success for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice finish, nice smell, June 10, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Other than advertised, this interior detailer is not much useful for cleaning. Before you apply it, the surfaces should already be fairly clean, because its dirt removal capability is somewhat limited. But as a polishing agent, it really does a great job. It gives (plastic) surfaces a very nice satin finish that is more natural looking than the results you get with the "leading brand" product. It also has a nice smell, almost like the new car smell, and not the aggressive odor of other brands. We had great results using this detailer on our 2010 Nissan Versa - it looked like new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised, June 10, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Probably the best feature of this stapler is that you can use it to tack things to a wall or such, not just staple papers together *which it also does very well) Also, the fact that it is made from 50% recycled material is noteworthy and applaudable. Other than that, it is a stapler that does its work as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well researched and written, May 24, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is old school journalism. The author lived in Afghanistan for years, and thus knows the people, the customs, the history, and the culture of this country. She writes from "the inside" rather than from a distant vantage point - which sometimes clouds her judgement somewhat. She clearly loves Afghanistan and the Afghans, and she also clearly despises the Pakistani government, which she holds responsible for most of the evils that had befallen Afghanistan in the last two decades. But more often than not, her political analysis is spot on, especially when she describes the involvement of the US in that whole mess. All in all, despite a mild case of "colorblindness", this book gives a comprehensive, detailed, and factual overview of what went wrong in Afghanistan. Highly recommended, since it is not only filled with facts, information and analysis, but also written in a very pleasing manner.

LSC60 Laser Distance Measurer with Built-In Calculator

3.0 out of 5 stars Bulky, May 24, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This laser distance measurer is quite bulky. It's measuring accuracy is very good. The added calculator is a nice gimmick, but I prefer to have a dedicated calculator, a piece of paper and a pen, instead. Call me old school, but combining the two functionalities in one design only leads to more bulkiness and less flexibility. Also, the display is not very readable in bright sun light, and it only fits in the pouch when you use brute force.

3.0 out of 5 stars Versatile and powerful but with flaws, May 24, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The first unit I got was broken. You have to screw the top part off the main body to reach the charging port, and that screw-mechanism was somehow welded shut. Instead of screwing the top off, the next to the top part came off, and it revealed that some parts inside the flashlight were loose. Clearly a manufacturing issue. Amazon was notified and sent a replacement within a day - and that flashlight now works perfectly.

The flashlight is rated at 850 lumens, which is very powerful. There is no narrow beam setting, however, and so it is more a tiny floodlight than a real flashlight. It also has a SOS function and a "tactical" mode, where the flashlight sends out blinding strobes. My wife loves this function, it is really effective against intruders and bad guys at night - I tried it myself, you are absolutely blinded by the strobes after a few seconds.
Battery life is okay, but the hoops to jump through to charge the battery ... see above. Even if the screw mechanism works, it is a pain in the you know what.
The body is made out of aluminum and the whole flashlight is surprisingly light weight for its size. It seems to be of fairly rugged design and should survive normal use with ease. It is quite pricey and although it is a good flashlight with some very interesting features, a better (easier) way to charge it would be a good way to make it a better product.
